anyway. In addition to a new head, he needs some new arms dontcha think? I mean...Blades was supposed to be a rescue chopper wasn't he? I don't see many of them sporting gigantic missiles...

Oh yeah, big time. So much so that I am just getting the Takara Superion and not apha bravo so I dont have to double dip on that specific mold.

And for actual evidence, here is some producion images where you see a red redeco of the figure:



The ONLY hint that it might be a different mold is the confirmation that the alt modes for Defensor will be of cybertronian design and so far feature no redecos. Rook, Streetwise, First Aid, Hotspot and Groove are all new molds featuring cybertronian designs rather than eartly designs. This makes Blades doubly the odd man out if he were to be a redeco of Alpha Bravo. And thus Alpha Bravo would end up being only used to make Vortex eventually rather than be made as a redeco for Blades as well.

Good job diigging up this older image. The red deco seems to have no rockets, where alpha's are. AND the drawings with the blue outlines are starting to look awfully Votex-like to me. AND AND Sabrblade pointed out the other day that Alpha's head is a dead ringer for Vortex.

It's a good theory but as a counterargument, there are all those stunticons that are still earth based designs and are modified to be copyright infringing free designs. By the way, my favourite copy right infringing free design ever is Skyhammer's helicopter. Hasbro just combined two existing helicopters into one, so it looks super realistic and yet doesnt infringe anything, it was genius.

Pretty sweet looking vehicular mode, looks like all the changes are in the extended tail.

Two TF fans, Shark Jumper from TFW2005 and Karhukjnsi from Tformers, have gotten a hold of Generations Combiner Wars Legends Blackjack, the sixth member of Combiner wars Menasor, and both took a few in hand images. These can be found below.

They also gave some feedback on the figure.

Overall I'm quite pleased. He's very articulated with head that can look left and right, ball jointed knees and hips and he was even blessed with swivels at the arms. Transformation is unique and feels almost as complex as a deluxe.

Blackjack does't stay on very snugly, and all it takes is one look downwards and he'll fall right off of Menasor's chest.

The axe shape looks cool on Superion's chest.
