Not that I want to derail the thread but peaces, I think your simplifying it. Yes unions can get greedy, just like the heads of the corporations they stand against but their core purpose was to get rights for workers and to stand against the workers being used as disposable faceless pawns. Everyone has a right to work and people in work have rights to.

A mind numbingly naive statement there. Where do you think minimum wage, annual leave, sick pay, maternity leave etc come from? Without unions workers would have non of these rights.

I can do that with gusto
as I was messing about with Alpha Bravo (fantastic mold, hats off to the designer
) I noticed that the connecter looked identical to that of the power core combiners, just upscaled and attached to the limbs instead of the torso bot

Zerowolf - The connections are similar, but the difference is the ports on the torso. One needs to use little to no force to connect and disconnect. It's brilliant!

Not really. I own the G1 toy, and aside from the legs looking like the knees are pulled up to the chest for transformation, the rest integrated pretty nicely...

This is nothing like CW Silverbolt or CW Cyclonus and the shell of the jet being on the back...

Looking at the sightings section. Are the wave 2 deluxes starting to trickle out? ('bout time)
Also find it interesting that there are no repaints/remolds of earlier pr-CW figures on the horizon. Arcee, Windblade, Brainstorm, Whirl, Roadbuster et all.

The Universe 2.0 mold is a much more remenescent version of that G1 toy. It's transformation is a perfected version of that toy and the 2.0 even comes with a Target Master. This new Cyclonus is just a fun addition to the line and a way to encourage people to mis and match. I dont see a point in getting him, especially when my three Hasbro Amigos, Universe Galvatron, Cycoluns and Scourge, scale so well with one another.

Still impressed with the faces of the individual Constructicons, they're spot-on! It's a little weird though that for voyager-class toys, some of them don't have proper elbows, especially the most prominent character of the six. But I like how he can finally have the shovel behind his head.

Something else to be said about Cyclonus. This is the guy that would go toe-to-toe with the likes of Ultra Magnus, Rodimus Prime, Springer, etc. on nearly a regular basis. So unless folks would be content with a Deluxe class Ultra Magnus or something, the Universe Deluxe is just too small for a guy who's meant to be on par with a bunch of big guys.

Do people think that Bruticus may get a new member following examples shown by this years releases?
It's been suggested that one of the reasons for the different members is variety. G1 Superion is composed of four nigh-identical jets plus Superion, and parents and retailers wouldn't shell out for what they perceive to be the same toy. Alpha Bravo and Offroad bring some much-needed diversity to the teams. It doesn't help that they make for some very easy retools. Bruticus, being made out of five completely different vehicles, would have no such problem. Hasbro might alter the alt modes a bit, but I see no reason for them to remove a character altogether.

Here's for a proper Bruticus and a Legends Shockwave that transforms into a "blaster".

Groove was nixed as a limb despite the Protectobots sporting completely different alt modes (Police Car, Ambulance, Motorcycle, Helicopter, Fire Truck). Going by the theory of variety, scale, and replacing one member (that will get old fast), I foresee Blast Off being replaced with an Aerialbot retool, most likely by the proper retool of Firefly... though that would still make for a messed up scale

I'm all for tradition and such, but I wouldn't mind an Aerial retool for Blast Off. Space shuttles aren't really "military" vehicles. A fighter jet is more fitting. He could still be called Blast Off, have the right colors, and sport Alpha Bravo's head.
(It hurt a little bit to type that)

Something else Hasbro could do is not put out whole teams but waves of random figures. If they're pushing for a whole mix & match deal. They could just put out deluxes not unlike Cyclonus or Optimus who just plug into whatever combiner you want. That would pretty much blow the door open for any character.

Blast-Off could be a military drone or something, keep a shuttley alt-mode but not necessarily have to be that size. As long as robot mode and arm mode look right, I think that's good enough. I can still see him being a retool of that accursed Alpha Bravo though.
