Cyclonus is proof of that, but I can't wait to see what Scattershot looks like. (He's a no brainer when it comes to the Silverbolt mold. I just hope he's a bit more remolded to differentiate from both Silverbolt and Cyclonus.)
Now, it has been a long time and I am going entirely off of memory, but G1 Scattershot has that 3rd mode nose cannon thing going on, right?
Think there is any way to repurpose this mold to incorporate that or am I just being crazy?
It could work, but those third modes are dropped, so I don't see it happening for a possible Scattershot.
That's a super bummer.

I imagine the same is the case for all of the torso bots.

By which I mean the CW Silverbolt toy can't assume a base mode like the G1 Silverbolt toy could. It was taken out of the equation for the new toy.megatronus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:According to a recent interview with Hisashi Yuki, the base mode for Silverbolt was deliberately excised for his Combiner Wars toy.

What do you mean by "excised?"

Ok , I am not as well versed about this stuff as you guys so can someone give me a pic or link to the base modes you guys are talking about. And do they just work on metroplex? I have G1 trypticon, scorponok, hotspot and silverbolt so I am curious to see what their play value extends to.

The Legends Class, Voyager Class Menasor and Leader Class Armada Megatron (as well as the G1) ship within 5-7 business days, while the limbs/Deluxes will begin shipping on March 27th. (It should be noted that that is an estimate and HTS has been known to ship items sooner than the expected date. It's not guaranteed we'll see them sooner, but there's at least a chance.)
You can see the full listing of new preorders right here:

And if you act now, the current promo code will not only give you 20% off but free shipping as well. The code is Family2015

Hun-Gurrr's base mode is, all things considered, semi-official. It is acknowledged in some sources, but not in the original instructions or the cartoon. In fact, out of all the third modes, Scattershot's was the only one shown in the cartoon:

Wasn't Hun-Gurrr's revealed via a character model from the cartoon? If I recall correctly, I think it's in the Ark book but it's been a few years since I've looked at those books.
