I don't think there's really a comparison.
Masterpiece Ultra Magnus is the defining version of 1980's G1 Ultra Magnus.
Combiner Wars Ultra Magnus is the defining version (well only version) of the 2010's IDW Ultra Magnus.
To me they're two very separate figures representing the same character but one represents the original incarnation, the other the modern incarnation.

OK, I need some help here. I'm trying to buy Magnus off of Hasbro toy store, but they won't let me enter checkout and they Won't show my costs in the subtotal box at the bottom right of the cart. Can anybody help me here? This has never happened before
