I'm excited for people that want Deep Cover. I'm sad that although just officially revealed today, people will likely have it before the next 3 TT Selects (Volcanicus, Abominus, Soundblaster), in spite of the presumed release dates.

Deep Cover is a Hasbro Selects toy, though. Why should his release have anything to do with the Takara Selects?

I'm well aware, I was just referencing the release dates, all of which are on Hasbro Pulse. I know it's no shocking revelation that the TT Selects releases will likely be delayed. It just seems disingenuous of Hasbro Pulse (who publishes the release dates of all products they offer). If from the beginning they said Volcanicus release date would likely be April, and Abominus/Soundblaster in May, (which sees more realistic based on past trends) I would have no care in the world when Deep Cover Comes out.

Got my order in. Curious that they're using the Transformers Tuesday label on Pulse again though, last time they used that was when they did those weekly drops of Hot House, Bugbite, etc. Are we about to get a bunch more Selects announcements in quick succession again?

We've also had the Netflix Deep Cover listing for a few months now, well before any rumors of this Selects one, so I'm not sure why this is confusing.

That would be nice, but I think it has become an overgeneralized marketing term, kind of like Taco Tuesday.

. Pulse has revealed several past release on random Tuesdays as well. Conversely they have on occasion dropped new pre-orders on other days (I seem to recall G2 Selects Megatron and Sandstrom dropping on a Friday seemingly out of nowhere...I could be mistaken). Another series of weekly reveals would be nice though...I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Looks like Gamestop has Deep Cover listed with a release date of Friday, Feb 12th, and an option to have it delivered on Day One for $10. I'm interested but not sure it is accurate. But then again, they were the second to deliver Kingdom figures after the CMDStore.

Not quite. The other release the listing is referring to is most likely the Netflix sparkless version that was leaked via a Walmart app listing a while ago.

It's a pretend Lamborghini logo, with a star in place of the bull. Probably to make him look a tad more "Earth-y" than the previous uses of this mold.

If it happens it'll probably just be Earth lettering instead of Cybertronian, and maybe the clear windshield not being ruined. At most there will be paint dividing the windshield frame.

At least in the case of Barricade vs his Sparkless "counterpart", they are canonically separate characters with the same body-type and the Sparkless has never actually been referred to as "Barricade" outside of the figure's listing. Actual Barricade is alive and well in the show as part of the crew of the Nemesis, while the Sparkless Datsun was only in basically one episode's worth of screentime between two episodes and got dusted when Optimus touched the Allspark.

(But also the figure releases in the main toyline and the Netflix show aren't a direct 1-1 translation anyway, since both Skywarp and Magnus are actually dead despite getting updates in Earthrise and Kingdom.)

We are allegedly supposed to be getting Earth Sideswipe and Red Alert as Amazon and Walgreens exclusives, respectively, but there haven't been any solid rumors about similar updates for any of the other Lambo repaints.
