I saw it a few days ago (on YT directly, sorry I didn't see your link). I mean I don't know what more there is to say. They are definitely better in color all around than the PotP versions. Better accessories. Also I'll be glad when I get my copy if it is more stable than the floppy Hasbro version. I guess I'm still irate because this is what we should have had all along, same basically with Abominus.

With Studio Series Dinobot releases expected, I prefer the PotP designs to the Takara / Selects versions. They have become "toy versions," while the SS ones will represent the animated properties. I did pick up Selects Red Swoop to better balance my collection that way.

This kind of decision is more justification after-the-fact than a collecting philosophy. TR Hot Rod, Blurry, Kup, and Scourge have been repurposed as toy / season four versions for the same reason.

Generally, I appreciate multiple releases when the toys are fundamentally different rather than just minor deco changes, and that's also why I'm more tolerant of different design approaches rather than having an expectation of a figure being right or wrong. Put another way, I'd much rather have TR Blurr and SS86 Blurr than Legends Blurr, and I prefer Selects to have new characters more than just minor changes--though I was happy to pick up G2 Megatron and I'm eager for toy/comic Galvatron, assuming the rumors are true.

I'm going to get both Kingdom Galvatron and Selects Galvatron, only because the G1 toy-inspired Selects version shares its deco (more or less) with "Galvatron II," the version of Galvatron from another timeline where he helped Unicron successfully destroy the Matrix of Leadership and devour Cybertron.

Greetings Seibertronians! Fellow Seibertron user, -Kanrabat-, has let us know that PrimeVsPrime has uploaded a new video review of the recently released Transformers Takara Selects Volcanicus!

Volcanicus is a redco of his Power of the Primes release, with each Dinobot bearing a colour scheme closer to the G1 cartoon. There's also new accessories for the combiner, including two swords that come from the Voyager Class Grimlock released as part of the Fall of Cybertron line. Volcanicus is the first Power of the Primes combiner to be released in the Selects line by Takara, and will be followed by the release of a more G1 toon accurate version of the Terrorcon combiner, Abominus.

That new Volcanicus is much better than the PotP original. But my 300$+ went elsewhere as you can see in my sig. Even though the original is easy to obtain on Ebay, the Select one is sure worth the extra cash.

I just got an email for both. Sad thing is they delayed both of those in the store back around the same time Volcanicus got pushed back to May so I have no idea why the delay in emailing people.

Probably Robot Kingdom, they were shipping them out at least by the 3/12 newsletter.

While I do not believe PvP is a sample stealer like some other YT reviewers, I believe he may have some sort of inside source, and possibly can afford super-fast shipping to UK, thus he can get items to review before most people.

They probably just shipped them as soon as they showed up without any regard for Takara Tomy's release date. Hasbro Asia usually gets stuff roughly the same time as Takara Tomy.

In Hong Kong? I doubt it. And they're a pretty big online retailer so I doubt they'd ever be punished for it.

I suppose it's down to the official release date in Hong Kong then? Does anyone know if it's before TT? It might be time for me to start importing Official TT figures from Hong Kong to Japan.

Does anyone know of a China/Hong Kong-based site that sells Hasbro Asia/official TFs? I don't want to use an American sure, add the shipping prices are too expensive, but all the sites I know of (ShowZ, TF Direct, etc) don't seem to sell that many official TFs.

Cheers. OMP is based in Singapore, whereas the other site was really slow, didn't have any recent official TFs and stated they would inform customers of the shipping price around the time of purchase.
