Through trial and error the amount of figures affected has been reduced to 1 every couple years, even then they're unintentional and above all unanticipated like UW Motormaster. Problem is, there are a lot of factors for that kind of fragility, some unknown even. The only safeguard against it is using no metallic flake at all and stick with flat colors.
