Agreed. I'm just trying to look on the bright side, knowing that it will be quite a while before we get anything better representing the Marvel comics version. I never had the toy nor do I care for it, but I'm a huge comic fan, especially the Galvatron character, and always wanted a proper representation of him in my collection.AcademyofDrX wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:The 1 I've been waiting for! I think it's worth pointing out that there are a few problems with "comic accurate," including that while the pylons were usually grey-blue, they were sometimes red, and they were much smaller than in this mold. I think that grey-blue was usually supposed to represent chrome or a metallic sheen, rather than actually being blue. Maybe most significantly, you see a few different designs across the US and UK series.
Ultimately, I think they tried to split the difference between the toy and the comics. That's why I love the inclusion of the foil stickers sheet--if you want it to look like the original toy, nothing else will get you closer. If you want a comic or contemporary design, just toss the sheet. I'm a big fan of the UK comics and I own the original toy, so I can appreciate both goals. I have a Marvel villains collection already, so that's the way I'll display mine.
All these figures need proper updates, especially Straxus and Thunderwing.(Generations Darkmount...RotF Bludgeon, Generations Thunderwing
Also, I notice this Galvatron comes with a green Matrix. Is that supposed to represent the Creation Matrix, or was it also green in the Japanese series this character was also in?
