Well It's Inferno, (because Elita is getting proper limbs down the line) , but here you go. Red Swoop is temporary until hopefully one day Hasbro or TT gets us another deluxe Autobot limb. Also, hopefully it will be more stable so I can make Jazz & Ricochet arms, since Ricochet is so weak...

This looks great.

I'm thinking Ricochet will end up on Inferno for a combiner so that the combined mode, which sort of looks like Artfire, will have his other Targetmaster bro as his limb.

That would be sweet. For some reason for me everytime I see Inferno I think of Fire Chief (Guard City) from Operation Combiner. I need to snatch him up nextime I see him and paint the wheels blue to get the look. Either way how you look at him Inferno is a great piece :D :D :D

So, now that I've gotten my copies of Ricochet and Red Swoop, I can weigh in on the QC issues others have brought up. I got two of each, btw, as is my usual habit for combiner limbs. Both of my Ricochets are loose. The problem is mainly in the hip joints and the shoulder hinges. Everything else is pretty comparable to the Jazz releases of the mold from Power of the Primes last year. Mine aren't so floppy that they won't stand on their own on the shelf, but they do "rag doll" a bit when you pick them up and gently shake them. My bigger QC issue is that the gold paint on the faces is a little sloppy. There are very messy lines between the top of the visor and the white of the helmet, for instance, but it's only really very noticeable from close up. Also, one of my Ricochets is missing a tab inside his car hood that secures the hood to the inner torso in robot mode. The other one has two, one on each side of the head hole, while the other one is missing the tab that would be on his right side.

I had very few issues with Red Swoop, on the other hand. He poses well, and while not everything tabs in with a nice "snap," like the dino legs into the robot legs, nothing is terribly floppy or falls out of place when handled. This goes for both copies I got. One is currently the left leg for "Firestormer," and the other is on a shelf wielding Titan Master Ptero as an energy bow. I'm integrating Red Swoop into my collection as a full robot version of Ptero, btw, so he can exist along side "Blue" Swoop, who remains my proper Swoop in my collection.

First thing I did when I got my Richochet was tighten the joints..I see a few issues with the paint I'm hoping for some reprolabels to fix that. The missing autobot logo in robot mode is the biggest annoyance to me.

bvzxa, are you just tightening the joints with some clear nail polish or floor polish, or are there screws to tighten somewhere that'll help?

I used clear nail polish on the ball joints, and a little at the shoulder hinges. It worked to make it much better now it feels like a good quality toy.

While nothing new, I was finally able to open my Ricochet up after returning from a trip back home. Joints are not too bad, could be worse. I wanted to do a photo with POTP Jazz but he is at work. Oh well. Other than that, I like him.

Got my Ricochet open yesterday as well, his joints are all perfectly fine. His left shoulder is looser than the other, but he can still hold a pose just fine. Then again, I also don't own PotP Jazz, so I can't do any sort of comparisons with him.

I was going to pass on Red Swoop. But combine being caught up on wave 2 of Siege, a pretty good discount from the Seibertron store, and my complete lack of willpower...

Looks like I'll have a red swoop in a few days.

I like my Red Swoops. One is serving as the left leg of "Firestormer," my Power of the Primes Inferno combiner. The reds and grays are a good match for those on Inferno. The other is a Deluxe sized version of Titans Return Ptero, and new Dinobot member, like PotP Slash. Equip PotP Red Swoop with TR Ptero for Pteranodouble Dino Action (tm)!

For me, Red Swoop will be a be a free agent limb as I already have complete combiners. My Firestormer has all white police/rescue limbs. I swapped Jazz for Prowl on Optimus Maximus so that Prowl, Ratchet, Alpha Bravo and Rook can be the limbs for Inferno. I really hope Selects spits out a few more limbs and maybe a torso or 2. Ebay prices on the TFSS and Botcon stuff is too high except for the random ebay deal (like Impactor for $60 without any accessories and missing a wheel or Counterpunch for $65 complete.) I currently have 2 autobot free agent limbs and 1 torso and 1 limb for the decepticons.

Ugh, now I sort of regret getting those from TFsource. Those are much better prices, and I would get them now, not in like 2 or 3 months.

Dang, if these are on discount from Seibs, they must not be very popular

I’ve wondered with Swoop if there would have been more clamor to get the blue animation style body after the fact had we gotten the red toy version with PotP. It’s always the secondary more expensive/exclusive release that goes for the show accuracy and this is reversed. Like I’m pretty happy with Blue Swoop I don’t have a desire for the red one. Of course so much of this is personal preference I totally get and respect that, but if red had come first I think I would have been more like whoa the cartoon version had I seen the blue second.

I think it might be more:

1) The reviews for the figures have not been kind with the looseness

2) They came out 2 months after they were anticipated too, so people probably lost interest

3) A bunch of people have Swoop and have moved on, and Ricochet isn't exactly a hot figure, even if I like him

Those are my reasons for passing. If they maybe made the releases a little more special I might have bit.

Not sure if this is newsworthy, bur Red Swoop and Ricochet are now on Hasbro Pulse for $19.99 each. While this means Pulse was pretty late to the game for these 2 in particular, I do think it is a good sign that so far, all the Selects releases have been available through Pulse.

It is good that Pulse has gotten them all.

But it is a shame that these 2 are not selling as much. They just aren't moving and attracting attention

I think one of the biggest problems is that one of their main selling points is being a combiner limb, and there are currently no combiners out.
