Overquoting to say that a Leader Dragon Megatron that will be imposing is possible... If he have a donut chest and completely hollow limbs.

As someone for whom Cybertron was my G1, I am absolutely stoked for this! There were many Cybertron figures I never had, so for one to be the centerpiece of a new line is amazing. Never would have expected Metroplex to see the light of day again. Especially with how accurate he looks, plus the guaranteed heightened quality of engineering of the last few years? Very encouraging, makes me much more excited for Override, and maybe others down the line!

With Beast Wars making a comeback, and now the return of the Unicron Trilogy and Prime, it looks like the shift away from the virtual G1 dominance that many have taken issue with is finally becoming a reality.

If we're getting Metroplex and Override, Evac and Scourge should be somewhat likely in the near future too, I should think.

Seeing the logo and the background, I'm really looking forward to checking out the full package design now.

Had some slight worries that Hasbro would somehow decide on reverting back to using designs from the Prime Wars Trilogy/Studio Series after having a line-up of awesome package designs from the WFC Trilogy. Thankfully this seems less likely now.

You're talking about 2 different Scourges (which is probably another reason they're using the Black Convoy name). Whifflefire means Cybertron Scourge who turns into a dragon to complete the 4 Planet leaders, the leaked Scourge was RiD.

For those complaining about his alt mode and how it looks, that's what it looked like in the cartoon, the toy, and pretty close to the actual real life machine.

Not sure why it would not look like that.


Transformers Cybertron Metroplex (Megalo Convoy) Gallery

I remember seeing Transmetal 2 Megatron back in the day and thinking how cool he was, but too expensive for my blood. Fast forward seceral years later and seeing him in a collectible store made me wish i had ponied up the cash in the beginning, and now to see what he commands on ebay MIB I can say I wouldn't mind seeing a much newer version for Commander price! I can only imagine how great he would look with today's technology.
That said, as cool as he might be I don't know that I'd buy him because he doesn't fit in with my focus.

As I've said before I also wouldn't mind a new Metroplex and hope his aesthetics are much improved from the past figures.

I've passed on Omega simply because Year of the snake (yet to get ) would fit in more with my titan masters tho I'd probably have Titan Omega over a Fanstoys third party to go with my MPs and I really need to buy Mastermade Omega for my Mastermades.

The Ark, I kinda want just for mainframe and shuttle mode (with a third party fifth booster!).

Metroplex has to be the first Titan I haven't even got a thought to justify buying or not buying, it's not for me in any shape, form or price. I had and sold the original toy which was good in bot mode but that's about it. Just hope if it doesnt sell well it doesnt effect other TFs that would be great as Titans.

Not bad. A very nice update. And the Legacy logo looks pretty cool, too.

That looks like a huge waste of money. I will just stick with my Megalo Convoy.

Okay, I have to second the suspicion that we care getting Evac and (dragon) Scourge. We already know Override is coming and Metroplex makes two of the four Convoys from TF: Cybertron. And we already got an Optimus Prime remake.

The hard thing about these figures is that the toys were so completely show accurate, there's very little that can be done to upgrade them without compromising the cartoon accuracy. Armada was really the last series that the animation deviated significantly from the toys themselves. Energon and Cybertron both had computer-imaging and toy accurate models, even down to the transformations.

A fistful of Scourges. Interestingly enough they are ell entirely different characters.

We already got one Scourge, we know we are getting a second Scourge.

The third Scourge can totally be a retool of something else, and the remaining Scourge may not ever see the light of day again.

I'm a bit late to the party on this, but I still wanted to comment on it. While Metroplex does look accurate enough to the original, it doesn't look as if they've actually improved upon the original toy in any way, they've just scaled it up. The vehicle mode still looks like a big lump of parts, and if he doesn't have Drill Bit or a Cyber Key, then that would mean this new toy actually has fewer features than the original toy did. I'm not attached enough to Transformers: Cybertron to bother getting this, even though I watched the show when I was a kid.

That's my main fear for this version.

Although I am also excited for RID Scourge. I'll understand if they want to wait until the following year to try Flame Convoy Scourge (Like how Inferno and Inferno are being released in different years). We could get a different Scourge every year until 2026!

With the engineering of the WFC Trilogy essentially being the transformation scheme of the original with a few new steps and tricks while still remaining incredibly accurate to their on-screen appearance, I imagine future figures based off of UT characters will continue that trend. I won't mind if transformation schemes are altered so long as the figure in question still looks the part. Look at what they did with the Beast Wars characters, for instance - Megatron transforms completely differently from the original, but nevertheless perfectly resembles the on-screen design. If Metroplex is any precedent, I'm not worried about the level of care the UT figures will receive.

The only big change from the original is the flipped torso, the rest is more or less the same
