Emerje wrote:Man, these both look fantastic! I can't wait to buy Starscream four or five times! Really love the update, I want to see him with his shoulder canons deployed (looks possible). Not sure about the wing sword not just being removable wings, but I guess they didn't want to do the folding gimmick. Wish they would have painted it red and white instead of the whole thing red, feels like a wasted paint asset when it looks better in white on the back of the box. Star Saber is pretty cool, too. So far the Unicron Trilogy remakes are killing it.
I actually like the way they changed up Inferno's transformation. Always thought the arms and legs looked weird as ant limbs being so big. We actually got a preview of this on the Cybertron Metroplex box art so we should have all seen this coming. The articulated head reminds me of Ramhorn. Should be a really fun figure. Looks like the ant mandibles are still articulated.TulioDude wrote:Inferno looks pretty menacing. Can someone say which kind of ant this is based on?
It's in the name, he's a fire ant.

Inferno looks great. Something cute about the Ants features. I don't like the idea of a gun stuck on top of a Beast Mode. I'm used to weapons being hidden in BW figures. But apart from that he looks like one of the most faithful BW updates yet.

Starscream got a deluxe around 2012 or so. Hardly recent, and different class. It was 2014 to be exact.
Nemesis Reformatted wrote:Transformers is nothing but disappointment lately. Inferno is my favorite Predacon & I couldn't wait to see him. Robot mode looks good but that ant mode sucks! I might just save my money because I have the original it's far superior. I see no reason to blow $30 for a downgrade.

It's all a bit timey wimey. I recall seeing Armada Screamer around the same time as Generations Sky Byte. Which it was - both in 2014. Just didn't realise that was eight years ago now

Rtron wrote:Inferno I'm liking very much, specially like the articulated jaw to showcase his madness. Although I'm disappointed that he doesn't actually have his gun, but rather rips off his own ass to use it as a gun. I may end up designing and 3D printing a custom gun.
Rtron wrote: However, I'm a bit worried they'll extend this aesthetic to Dragon Megatron. I mean, dragons don't exist so there's no "realistic" way to do him, but I'm afraid they might remove the Transmetal details from the alt mode to make him blend in more with the season 1 cast. I really hope they don't.

Making the ant eyes that much smaller just creates this wide sea of red between them on his chest when the blue eyes were such a prominent part of Inferno's chest on both the original toy and the cartoon model. They've gone from being main aspects of the front of his chest to inconsequential aspects hidden on the sides of his chest.
Still doesn't make it look "good".AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I really really don't like what they have done to Inferno's torso. Closer to the biology of a Fire Ant.
