Or just let the eyes be bigger, realism be darned.

Inferno and Waspinator both have eye boobs. Waspy got his, but Inferno got gypped. Gimme eye boobs, darn it.

I think it could also lead to a better looking Antagony figure too.

Indeed, the colours should look really nice on that mold.

Though how many years till we get transmetal redos (or even netter, reissues)

Loving both.
Recently got vintage Inferno. Can’t wait to put them together.
Love Armada Starscream having a mini starsaber.

Inferno is an instabuy, even if the robot mode kibble seems off. Is he mistransformed?

Starscream, I'm split on. I love the Armada figure, but the fact his back can't fold down always bothered me. If this fixes that (which it seems to) then I'll get this as well.

That's subjective. Less stylised and more "realistic" is what they are going for nowadays though.

Regardless, it was never going to work out very well trying to make a robot from a animal or insect, insects more so because of hoe some of them are. On screen in TV magic land you can do almost anything but when it comes to making a toy of it becomes a lot more complicated. This is why I was never a fan of the BW toys in general.

The issue is a lot of this is based on Season One/initial wave designs and figures.
The more creative and intricate designs didn't make it into the show. By the same token, they got better at it with subsequent waves. Much like comparing the 84 G1 figures to say, the post-Movie characters. Development and crafting skills improved over time.

IMO, the BW Scorponok toy was a far better design than the show model, and he looked good in both modes.

I think they've done a good job here and with many other beast formers, never doubt what the designers can do when push comes to shove.

Why did you thought those were deluxes? Description error?

It's written "voyager" on the boxes in 5 languages.

Anyway, those, I look forward to.

Description error on the posting. Tho tbf the posting could have said made of marshmallows after I found out a relative is ill.

Because they aren't mini con ports. They're just pegs with holes that aren't compatible. I tried.

I do agree with what people are saying about Inferno's blender butt engine gun and his chest. I think the chest could have been done better. al they would have had to do was to make the sides with the eyes be separate panels with either a double hinge or a slider to move them to overlap the center of the head. not only would it look better, it would also make it a bit more show accurate. something like the rough sketch I attached here.

Is there any chance Inferno's chest is just mis-transformed? He's got a split down the middle of his chest.

They're not going for show accurate Beast Modes. As far as modern Beast Wars figures go, that's what the Masterpiece line is for.

When it is prehistoric fictional bugs tho they shouldn't really be modernised bugs. The new live action film will likely butcher them enough that way as is.

Some Beast Modes didn't even exist during the Prehistoric era. Authenticity to the period was never a serious consideration.

Good to see indemand got the size class wrong :) think I'd have preferred a non transforming swindle over the starsqbre if hasbro has to be that tight. Looks good enough tho so he is a potential buy along with his likely repaints/retool.

Sadly inferno looks off like the other beast wars stuff. I'll likely get him for the royalty but if I still had the original I'd be passing. Unlike tigertron he doesn't have a better mp option or even a Red substitute yet.

It looks to me like that hinge allows the ant head to split open so you can pull his robot head out and store the ant mandibles, then closes back up. Nothing more.

I did too when I got my Bulkhead. But with the square base around the peg that has the divots in the corners, added to the hole in the middle, it still LOOKS like a minicon port.

Indeed. Meanwhile, MP Tigatron was out nearly two years ago now. There's only fourteen characters in Season One. Takara are so close to actually finishing one MP line. If they decided to pull their finger out >:oP
