I personally don't think it they should be redone, except for combiners we have yet to have modern takes on, of which there are still a few. I guess of all the CW sets, the Motormaster voyager draws the most criticism from fans. I hope it is just a rumor, but we shall see.

I should have added the Unicron trilogy to my predictions post. Especially since they did a nice job remaking Galaxy Prime. Plus, I would love to add a "Powermaster" Super Ginrai to my collection! But from the way it sounds, and the fact that Armada turns 20 next year, we may see Armada Prime be made first.

I would love a new Menasor...
And I still like both my CW and UW versions. A couple upgrade kits helped tremendously, but still.

For me I think CW (& UW) Menasor missed the mark more than the others.
I know that they all probably could've been better in different ways and specifics, but Menasor looks the most off.
Anyway, I have a feeling that Hastak has taken some notes from various 3P versions, and that Motormaster could be Commander Class; his trailer most likely is complex to help create a more G1-looking Menasor from the trailer.
And if none of the other combiners are going to be made anytime soon, this also helps add both G1 and 4 Decepticon characters into the deluxe class mix for the new line.

Wouldn't Star Convoy make more sense as a heavily retooled Motormaster since they're both transforming truck AND trailer? Truck portion becomes the wrong appendage, but I think it's a better fit. Doing Star Convoy out of Armada Prime doesn't feel much better than the Selects version.

I did not mean he's overdue for an update over someone else, It was more in relation to transforming his trailer. I'm scared to try to get than engine to work again after so long, it's likely to break.

I doubt it. Star Convoy was a halftrack tractor trailer, much like Armada Optimus Prime. both also came with small sports car companion. Sparkplug in Armada and Hot Rod for Star Convoy.

Both turn into bases, and don't need to combine with anyone else.

The only thing Motormaster and Star Convoy share is a connected cab, but as you point out it turns into very different things on the robot.

While I can see a connected cab to the trailer being an important feature, I don't think many would mind if the cab transformed into its own smaller robot.

I agree. The original Star Convoy figure doubled as a Micromaster base. Where as this figure has more of a "Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon" vibe going for it.

I will say that his leaks were very very early in comparison to a few other leakers who talk about figures further down the line. Compare Legacy 1 to Kingdom for instance, leakers were careful not to mention Polar Claw or Gears when saying the character rosters because they were recently knocked off the list right before leaks began. While it's nice to have an idea on the current plans for many figures, these can and will change suddenly (Blaster went from SS86 to Legacy 1 to Kingdom over the course of the leaks, while DotM Devcon has gone from first SS Commander to Cancelled to Never Happening to Being Considered)
Most leakers would talk about upcoming figures once they reach CaD file status (which is the last easy place for them to be canned) or when listings are made (when it's incredibly rare for a figure to get cancelled).

The only leak that benefits from this is Hasbro's planned "risky" figures in SS with the supposed testing of non-movie figures with Breakaway. So if you see Breakaway, you better buy it because that could lead to DotM Warpath (and if the stars-align 07 Drones with my homeboy Payload )

Personally speaking, I prefer early leakers over ones that claim they work for either Hasbro or TakaraTomy.

I mean for all we know HasTak might have chosen to put both Polar Claw and Gears into their Legacy line. Which is something I expect them to do with their "Bayverse" comic book characters. But that is because their G.I. Joe Classified series is said to not be limited to their "A Real American Hero" line-up. Atop of the fact that if Black Zarak is indeed Legacy's first Generations Selects figure, there is a good chance any characters they do make are tied to their non-movie related media.

Le sigh... This now has me wonder if/when they will do a HasLab project that is tied to Majin Zarak. Or if they will consider adding the Beast Wars II movie cast to Studio Series, with him being the same scale as "Bayverse" Devastator.

...um, so I glanced at the TFW Silverstreak thread, and a user named Voltrace is posting what appear to be listings for Legacy figures already in there that they've found in Target systems, which seems...disturbingly similar to how the Kingdom leaks started last year. Specifically, they've found:
-Leader Dragon Megatron (aligns with leaks/rumors)
-Deluxe Silverstreak (which...only brings up more questions regarding that figure being in-hand already)
-Core Soundwave (sounds like a Kingdom repack)
-Core "Energon Monster" (anyone have any idea what this is? The only thing I can think is maybe a renamed/code-named version of one of the Terrorcons from Energon?)



EDIT: They found some more, which are missing the Legacy specification in the listing but are from the leaks/rumors we've had before this point:

Really want to see what Taratulas looks like, Skipped Skorponok so my Megs still needs someone to command.

Inferno & Cybershark are my favorite Beast Wars characters. I hope they make Inferno & I have no hope of anybody even remembering Cybershark exists.

This is where the listings I was posting came from/got moved to when some thread shuffling happened, I just came back inside from breaking down some boxes and I see the number of listings has now practically doubled.

If I remember right, the current speculation is Prime Beast Hunters Optimus, since the leakers said "Prime Optimus/Bulkhead share a mold" and the Beast Hunters design is the only version of that character that could possibly make sense to share a mold with a Bulkhead.

Inferno is rumored for Legacy already (as were a good amount of those listings we're seeing, so that's even more credibility), and I think Cybershark may be more likely at some point than you think since A. Polar Claw, himself a toy-only character, was originally on the table for Kingdom, and B. Cybershark shares a mold with Sky-Byte, who WAS a show character (just not during Beast Wars), so if they make a new Sky-Byte anytime soon Cybershark is practically a shoe-in as a Gen Selects or something (unless you specifically mean the non-Transmetal Cybershark, in which case this point is moot).

Yup! The original hammerhead Cybershark is my favorite. The Transmetal is cool but I love the original. I wish I could get a better toy of him.
