I'd say a better looking Motormaster and Menasor would be great. the CW version had its issues.
However, having recently found PotP starscrean, gridlock, swoop and Stepper for a decent price I jumped on them. So I think the Cw system still has potential to continue.
And yes, I agree, Bruticus is still one of the better CW combiners out there.

Tidalwave- He is a Large Decepticon. It's not what I would want, I think he is much better served as a CC, but I know a lot of fans do want it, so it makes sense.
Also historically, the ratio of Good/Evil Titan class toys has been even, and I'm sure that will continue

Also at the moment, the Titans are perfectly balanced with 5 a piece (by years end when Black Zarak drops)
Autobot:
Metroplex
Fortress Maximus
Grand Maximus
Omega Supreme
Ark
Decepticon:
Devastator
Trypticon
Predaking
Scropoknok
Black Zarak
Decepticons even benefit from having more original molds in their line up with only one retool/repaint to the Autobots two.
There is also a problem that who would the Nemesis transform into given that the Ark was the perfect opportunity to pull a last Autobot reference out of the hat.

Some people don't count Devastator and Predaking as "titans" and reserve that for ships and citybots. By that measure, the cons are outnumbered.
To me they count, big is big, but others look at it differently.

Same. In the original series Omega Supreme was in the same "size class" as other combiners, was not a City-Bot. By that standard all 6 City-Formers have been/will be released. The Ark is a new concept. I'm sure a Nemesis will come eventually. Each Titan's rival was produced an average of 4 years apart.

I guess ratchets the most dissapointing (unless it's an error) followed by the non titan sized insecticon :p
Hopefully the others will be better than the original figures but it's doubtful. Blasters probably my only definite with tm2 megatron being my most anticipated but likely to be meh.
Skids and dragstrip are going to depend on their alts being good which is touch and go with past wfc car bots.

I absolutely adore Cybershark! The hammerhead not the transmetal version that was repainted into Sky Byte. The torpedoes that shoot out of his chest, the switchblade tail, the hammer that can double as a projectile as well, his jack o Lantern looking head. And the hammerhead alt mode is awesome! I still have my Cybershark but an update would be so awesome
Those are all good points, fair enough
I'd probably just keep both because more cybershark is better than less cybershark haha

If they do make Cybershark, it would probably be the Transmetal 2 version, so they can repurpose it as R.I.D Sky-Byte.

I know this is just rumor but...If someone is going to be paying roughly $170, for a highly detailed Armada Prime, they already have a term for that -Masterpiece. CC RP starts to blur the lines as it is, but a rumored Armada Prime as a "Titan" would be even worse. It's almost like they are trying to appeal to both MP, and CHUG fans, but doing a disservice to both.

Skids, Blaster, Silverstreak, Tarantulus, Kickback and 86 Rumble are a must. Dragstrip is a must, too, if he combines with something. TM2 Megatron is a maybe, as is Voyager Class Starscream.
I like the variety, though. I have to say. A lot of my purchases going forward are going to be headcanon purchases.

Maybe, maybe not, it all depends on how they define super mode. Just a super detailed prime would basically be a masterpiece as you said and doesn't make any sense to me.
The trio of Prime, Jetfire and Overload seems like it would be too much for the price point, unless all 3 were pretty basic leader class figures.
If they define it as being Armada Prime and Overload now we are in the ballpark with room for details and engineering, and that should be enough beef/height for Titan Class. Added bonus would be Jetfire as a possible separate Leader release.

Could you clarify on why you think that? I've been following JT's comments since the listings started dropping and I don't think he's said anything that'd imply Armada Prime specifically.

The only way Armada Prime classifies as a titan is if they give him his self transforming trailer again. That's the only way the price point makes sense, even if the toy's actual size is not in that scale.
Self transforming and rolling trailer is screaming "large chunk of budget goes here".

I myself have always enjoyed the CW system,, flaws and all, and I've been pretty vocal about it. Those that know me, know that CW is the reason I got back into collecting. What I am absolutely bewildered by is the idea (and I'm sure I'm not the only one), of those who spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars building a rather robust combiner collection, want to toss it all out and start over again, just a few years later? I mean I understand there will be a few Icons that will get a new figure each year, (Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Starscream etc...) and a dozen or so legacy characters that will get new characters every 2-3 years, (Datsuns, Seekers, Jazz, Ironhide, Grimlock etc...) but reasonably speaking...do we really wan to do ALL the combiners over again??? (this as arguably one of their biggest fans). I would rather see classic combiners that haven't been released yet, as well as classic characters that haven't had a modern update since the original series. Many fans want more representation from other era's as well. As arguably one of the biggest supporters of classic combiners, I'd rather have all of this than another Devastator, Superion, Menasor etc....
I also really enjoyed CW/UW, even though sure there were some flaws... But that's been the case for any line.
I don't think all of the combiners need to be re-done, at least not yet. Imo that says something considering those started coming out 5+ years ago.
Honestly, other than UW Blast-off, they're all relatively stable and solid considering everything that's involved.
It makes a lot of sense for Hastak to use the CW combining system. For its own sake as a company, not just to earn favor from collectors.
But I'm betting Motormaster (and Menasor) will break new ground.
I said a while back after Motormaster was leaked that Hastak will take cues from 3P's and use his trailer for the combining system. This will no doubt justify Commander Class.
I think this will not only allow for a great design as an individual bot, but a major improvement with combined appearance will be possible, as well as the stability that's expected.
Hastak is getting to do a few things with this release:
-Test the consumer market and see how combiner-related figures will sell after so many combiners have already been released
-Fill a Commander Class slot as well as 4 deluxe slots
-Add a handful of Decepticons into the line
-Re-make what a lot of people agree was the most off (in appearance) combiner to improve it
Points of interest (for me, anyway):
-Assuming the Stunticons are all-new molds (with a new combining system), it will be interesting to see if Hastak will make a G2 version. Seems like a lot of work and $$$ for molds that only get one use
-How will Menasor scale with the previously released combiners
-A CC figure is $85... 4 deluxes will be almost $100...
I really like the Stunticons and Menasor, and I'm not opposed to buying another set of these characters.
But these all better be legitimately good!! Too many "mehhh" aspects will make it tough to justify $185 for characters I already have.

I'm kind of hoping they only do one release of the Stunticons because I'll probably buy both G1 and G2, and if they do an SG version. I'd buy that too
I just really enjoy the Stunticon designs

Here's wacky theory...
What if the only new mold is Motormaster? Commander Class would be warranted to give him his full trailer and his full Menasor torso mode and accessories, but the rest of the stunticons are just rereleases of CW, with maybe minor improvements?
Would that be enough?
I'd spend the money on a Motormaster that looks like his G1 self more than CW did.

Nemesis Primal wrote:So for those who would rather read it here than follow the TFW link and scroll through multiple pages (and so I can get it all together & concise to send it to news), now we're up to having:
Legacy:
-Leader Dragon/TM2 Megatron
-Voyager Bulkhead
-Voyager Armada Starscream (UT IS BACK ON THE MENU)
-Voyager Blaster (has a separate Kingdom listing that was reported before, so repack)
-Voyager Inferno (presumably BW Inferno considering the leaks/rumors, but the listing doesn't specify)
-Deluxe Tarantulas
-Deluxe Skids
-Deluxe Dragstrip
-Deluxe Kickback
-Deluxe Silverstreak (different numbering than other Deluxes, likely an exclusive)
-Core Soundwave (Kingdom repack)
-Core Energon Monster (the presence of Armada Screamer strengthens my theory that this is some kind of Energon Terrorcon if it isn't something completely new like the Fossilizers)
Studio Series:
-Core 86 Ratchet
-Core 86 Rumble
-Core DotM Laserbeak
-Core TF7 Wheelie (???)
-Core Bumblebee movie Ravage
So, HasTak continues to, essentially, release the same characters they always do. Answer me the following question:
Since 2000, how many times have they released "new": G1 Skids (was in Generations, why a new release needed)? G1 Bumblebee (a dead horse, to be sure)? G1 Silver/Bluestreak/Prowl/Smokescreen (at least 2 of the three WFC trilogy lines had these, not even looking back further)? G1 Soundwave (fifteen versions since 2000)? Kickback (once in FOC Generations line)? G1 Ratchet? Blaster? Cassettes/minibots?
The studio series makes sense (though I'm convinced that Core Ratchet is a typo and it's really Ratbat); SS is a "completist" line. But this new one is a Legacy line and it's the same damned characters we've gotten over and over! Prime Arcee is awesome...guessing Bulkhead is the Prime version as well- excellent toys and, in both cases, new characters (Arcee was a name recycle and that's it...every thing about her was completely different). The Dragon Megatron...dramatically underrated ORIGINAL figure so hopefully they can do it more justice than they did the purple dinosaur Paneltron figure. Why are we getting another Armada Starscream when we just got one in Generations (hint: repaints are coming...)? But I'm really growing weary of the same damned thing over and over. On the upside I'm saving buttloads of money not buying these things, but it's just taking the FUN out of it! I remember the days of character leaks and "OMG what's the next new design going to be?" The little thrills from seeing them pull off something brand new, original. I MISS that. That was the beset part of this hobby...what are they going to do next? We've reached the point where WE ALREADY KNOW because nothing is new! For the love of bacon and pie, can somebody PLEASE grow a freaking imagination?
End of rant.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

I do as well... It's icing that they're Decepticons... But at that price, I'll get one set. Depending on how good they look!
I really don't have any stability issues with any of my combiners. Again, relatively speaking...
For the general size, they're good.
I have figured out that UW Superion and UW Computron have the tightest joints.
It's surprising that Perceptor didn't make this list... Which I know doesn't mean a ton. Just thought he'd be a given.

I don't think this is a crazy idea...
Since Motormaster is obviously going to be a new mold, and repainting the trailer for a Prime figure doesn't seem likely, maybe they're justifying his new mold by using slightly re-tooled/repainted molds of the limb figures.
What's going to be interesting imo, is the functionality of Motormaster's trailer as a trailer.
I understand, its main purpose will be for the combining gimmick.
But you'd think Hastak would also want it to have some use outside of combining, just for those who don't care about Menasor (or don't have the $90-ish for the other Stunticons).
Going back to your thought, if this Motormaster is substantially better and creates a much different look from the CW version, there will be quite a few people willing to buy him, rather than all 5 figures again.
This really is going to be a big reveal, whenever it happens!
