Um, I got the toy in that very box when I was young. It was a silver/black car and bot. So, Hasbro even back then was OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL sending mixed messages at best.

It's funny because Budiansky was apparently bamboozled too, he claims he gave the guy that name and personality as wordplay because the toy they gave him was blue. Probably a Diaclone one. That and the boxart confirm they changed the deco at the last minute, after the production of the marketing material and right before starting production on the toy. Funny coincidences.

Honestly, I find the silliness of having the silver guy be Bluestreak and the blue guy be Silverstreak very charming. I love it.

I'm just waiting for Hasbro to troll everyone by re-releasing SS86 core Rumble as a mainline core Frenzy a year later.

If Hastak gives us a solid SS86 Soundwave first, people won’t care as much.
I know there hasn’t been any word even in the form of a leak yet…
But to get Rumble & not have a Soundwave?
With the NF version being an exclusive, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this happens.
SS86 is the best place for any popular character that was seen in the movie.
*Not saying it’s the only place… But Legacy is trying to open-up spots for other series…
Which it should.

At this point I don't blame you. >:oP

When it comes to Studio Series, I would like to see the cast for Beast Wars II: Lio Convoy in Imminent Danger! be added. But only if it means the film (with its add-ons) will finally get a BD release. But even then I wonder if they could include Majin Zarak to the line, regardless if they end up keeping the Titan class scale. But until that day comes, I'll just hope that movie gets an international BD release.

But when it comes to the Legacy series... I am not holding any real interest right now. The hope that HasTak will do a G1 remake of the Stunticons is appealing to me. But so did the British adaptation of Professor T. (before I started to watch it). (All I can say is that nobody can play the character like Koen De Bouw did.) In all cases, I am fine having my grail at this time and can only see any new add-ons being gravy.

As for any hopes... I guess them doing a Marvel/IDW G1 scale versions of both Fortress Maximus and Scorponok are the only things I hope to see come out of that line.
I'm on break. PM me when there is official news involving a TakaraTomy update on Super Convoy. Or if you have news on the upcoming Transformers RPG.

And screw the cartoon. That thing is loaded with mistakes.

Except the toy that was in the box that all the kids played with after throwing away that box looked like the character on the show that all the kids watched so that's a pretty weak argument.

Um... Magnaboss and Tripredacus are my all time favorite BW characters. Also, one of the main reasons why I like BWII as an animated series is because it gave representation to many BW toys that didn't appear in the Mainframe show.

Yeah, and Cybershark is my favorite Beast Wars character. Most of my favorite characters aren't in the shows. But majority of the fandom only cares about the shows. Whenever I mention G1 Ransack, Barrage, Venom or Chop Shop I get told that they are irrelevant because they didn't appear in the show.

So even though some of us love the non-show characters we are the minority. That's why we keep getting Kickback, Bombshell & Shrapnel over & over & over again but never the other 4 Insecticons. I wish the fans weren't like that but they are so what can we do?

Part of the issue with the Deluxe Insecticons is also liscensing I believe because the designs are now owned by Bandai. So unfortunately, I think those Insecticons have gone the way of the Gobots in terms of Hasbro owning just enough of the copyright to have the names and ideas behind them, but not enough that they think they could get away with making proper updates without possible legal issues/legal headaches (not saying they can't, but just saying this might be their thought process)

We keep telling him this and he keeps going with his personal narrative of "HASBRO AND FANS HATE THEM FOR NOT BEING ON THE SHOW AND THEY'RE WRONG FOR THINKING THAT" even though nobody has said anything about the show.

Yeah, and honestly I never wanted a transforming Ark either because I think it's dumb that everything has to transform. But I own one so I don't know exactly what kind of point I'm making. ;) What would another Nemesis even turn into if not Trypticon? I don't really need another Trypticon.

If anything, the all silver toy & the version in the cartoon were mistakes and are "SILVERstreak". The official GI box of Bluestreak shows the original blue Diaclone art. Why are people refusing to accept this truth? I don't understand why everybody is trying to act like the official G1 box that Hasbro did in fact release in stores is not Bluestreak. What exactly is going on here? I'm the only one saying "THAT IS THE REAL BLUESTREAK" the way he was originally supposed to be. People are calling the blue figure "silver" & the silver figure "blue" and it doesn't make any sense at all.

Bluestreak was BLUE on the official G1 box officially released by Hasbro. And in the original G1 instruction booklet. Why can't anybody accept this? :???:

STOP calling it SILVERstreak! :-x BLUEstreak is BLUE! The official Hasbro box says so. Nobody can argue with that. It's a done deal whether you like it or not.

OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL straight from Hasbro. This is what BLUEstreak looks like:
Image
1. Was the figure in that box blue? Because if not, it doesn't matter since box art & renders still get figure's appearances wrong to this day, and this was just the earliest example.
2. If the OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL stance from Hasbro is that Bluestreak is blue like you're claiming, why is this new leaked one the first ever Generations figure of "Bluestreak" that's an actual blue one, and why did they have the figure be called Silverstreak in the listing? Surely if they were really of the opinion that Bluestreak should be/is blue, they would have fixed that "mistake" years ago, and the Siege and ER Bluestreaks we just got would be the ones called Silverstreak.

There's no one stopping you from switching the names in your personal collection if it bothers you that much, but the rest of us are calling them what we are because that's what Hasbro has established they're called, "acceptance" has nothing to do with it.

Sadly yes, the leaker confirmed that that was legit info as far as they know, and that they only initially posted it on April Fool's Day to lessen the blow of the bizarre decision by letting the fans receiving the leaked info think it was a bad prank at first, since they knew everyone would be baffled by that choice.

...although, with that said, apparently more listings have been found and they are...too non-specific and confusing for me to try to decipher this late at night, but COULD be throwing a wrench in the accuracy of that info, so I'm going to bed and hoping someone else sorts that mess out before I'm up.

Not by much.
But no Siege greebling, and added forearm panels. Gray colored areas may be switched to a lighter gray or even white.
Most importantly, he wouldn't be an exclusive.
So it would only be a slight re-tool/repaint, however, with how many new molds are in SS86, this Soundwave joins Blurr, Sweeps, and the Junkion in helping to balance that out.
Then, if they want to bump him up to leader class, throw in Frenzy, Ratbat, and a couple blast effects.

To make Rumble core class, they could include articulated pile-driver arm attachments and both of his little blasters. I think it would be funny if they added Megatron's cannon as an accessory, but not sure that would actually happen.

SS86 Rumble cannot be the same mold as the Siege version. These figures are not the same class.

Is this what you had in mind? Guys, this mold is *tiny*, not to mention that it's not very screen-accurate.

I know that Hasbro hasn't said anything about new "Micromasters", but one would think that would be the attempt with any SS86 cassettes; that they would come in 2 packs and fit what has been established with the WFC Soundwave. Still as big a fan of combiners I am, it has to be even more frustrating for fans of Soundwave. I have TR Soundwave and Blaster and all the Legends (or core class now) cassettes that were released for them. Every time a new Soundwave is introduced, the minions have to be redone as well. It seems like the same most popular 4 or 5 always get redone while the rest never do.

The cassettes being done at "Core Class" (basically Legends Class) would pretty much require a Leader Class Soundwave right ? Just like we had in TR. Even if they came out with a super screen Accurate looking Leader Soundwave, didn't many fans also complain that soundwave and Blaster were too big in TR?

Which would make sense if the listings didn't specify just Rumble and just BB Ravage. Personally, I kind of hope we get slightly larger ones that don't necessarily have to fit inside Soundwave (we have the Siege and ER ones for that) so they can be better individual figures.

Perhaps the labels are incomplete? Who knows at this point? Fulfilling the mandate of being screen accurate would I think require that they fit into Soundwave? Who knows. Still as I said above if they are goign to do it all over yet again, I feel sorry for SW fans. Also if B laster indeed got bumped from Legacy to late Kingdom (presumbaly will scale with WFC Soundwave), then again, making a whole new scale for soundwave and minions makes even less sense.

More New Transformers Listings for 2022 with lots of Soundwave

Voltrace, the same person who found many listings in the Target database, took the time to check for some more. They searched for characters this time around and found a new Optimus Prime and a Galvatron, the later of which is most probably a repack of Kingdom. They did find not one but 2 Soundwaves. We are not certain of the exact line for each.

• Soundwave ($29.99)
• Soundwave ($26.99)
• Starscream ($29.99)
• Galvatron ($49.99)
• Optimus Prime ($49.99)
• Optimus Prime (9.99)
• Arcee ($22.99)

I disagree with a bunch of these contentions. Battle Masters scale isn't to scale with the animation size charts. He can't be screen-accurate and fit WfC Soundwave's chest. But that's because of the size changing with those figures: Just as Soundwave and the tapes aren't to scale with their human-sized alt modes, the robots aren't to scale with each other.

Does that mean they'll make a Soundwave that's oversized? Will they make tapes that aren't compatible with his chest, maybe with a faux robot chest but functional alt-mode tray? Who knows, but I can't imagine that they'll use the WfC tapes for all the reasons discussed earlier.

Personally, I'm currently solving for this in my collection by using Legends-scale TR Rumble and Frenzy with the WfC lineup and WfC Frenzy and Rumble with the Core class figures. I'm generally forgiving on scale anyway, though, so it's not a big deal to me one way or another.
