If HasTak didn't think we "needed" new Prime figures, they wouldn't use the branding/character likenesses:
EG

I have to wonder if things would be any different if that had been imported to AmericaMy gut says no but would be fun to think about

First revealed in late-2021 at Hasbro Pulse Con 2021, Legacy is a 2022 toyline for the approaching 40th anniversary of the Transformers brand, featuring characters from across multiple series.
Each of the non-"Generation 1" characters are updated with a Generations aesthetic to fit with the rest of the toyline, most evident with the toys based on Prime.
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:No need for theories, it is in black and white.
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:"G1-ifying" these figures is the lazy part. This line is using moulds and assets from the last - WFC. So it is cheaper for them to incorporate other lines into those moulds.
Sentinel_Primal wrote:Honestly, the one idea that I would love as a figure, either fully accurate, or slightly G1-ified, is Samurai Prowl from Animated. The C.O.M.B.A.T. system would work extremely well to make it and I think it could work as a Deluxe+ Voyager. Plus, if they wanted, they could also repaint it into G1 Prowl's color scheme with maybe a red/orange sword instead of the blue for a Selects release
Alternately, Hasbro could cheapen out and just release Earthrise Prowl in black and gold and call it "Animated Universe Prowl".Razorbeast88 wrote:Sentinel_Primal wrote:Honestly, the one idea that I would love as a figure, either fully accurate, or slightly G1-ified, is Samurai Prowl from Animated. That'd be great

"Motor Drift"

... Oh my god, I hadn't realized that's why I like the idea of G1 Prowl's color scheme on Animated Prowl. It all makes sense now

Hasbro always has an anterior motive
For example:
What Hasbro says: We want to create 1-step changers so kids can experience the speed of transformation, as it happens onscreen
What Hasbro really means: We want to get cash off parents by creating cheap and lazy toys.

My son really enjoyed those 1 steps funnily enough, he enjoyed having toys he could transform easy. Plus it was good enough for kids in the 80sI'm all about expanding transformers so that all age groups have something to enjoy.

That'd be great
Which would still look nice, but wouldn't be Animated Prowl.

Me too. Especially if it looked like this:sol magnus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Alternately, Hasbro could cheapen out and just release Earthrise Prowl in black and gold and call it "Animated Universe Prowl".Razorbeast88 wrote:Sentinel_Primal wrote:Honestly, the one idea that I would love as a figure, either fully accurate, or slightly G1-ified, is Samurai Prowl from Animated. Sadly, I would still buy that.

Nemesis Primal wrote:I still maintain that both Animated Prowl (the non-armored version) and Cybertron Ransack could be made as retools/engineering-reuses of Legacy Prime Arcee as long as they actually put the effort in. The majority of the bike kibble ends up in the same places for the three of them, and Legacy Arcee even copies it's arm transformation from Animated Prowl already. They'd just have to pull a Universe-Lambros so the bike front would be the chest instead of the back, and then retool from there.
Really? I honestly think Prowl makes the most sense of the 2, the mold already comes with the right weapon and all the kibble goes in the right spots except the torso being flipped. What do you find lazy about it?RodimusPrimeUkraine1 wrote:I definetely see cybertron ransack, but prowl feels a little lazy.
I think they're sticking to only doing Action Master updates that work as repaints of existing figures right now, like Jackpot and Slicer. That would be a cool concept though, in a What-If G2 Laser Cycle kinda way.RodimusPrimeUkraine1 wrote:Still want a g1 prowl that turns into the action master motorcycle though.
