I'm getting confused myself. TFwiki just made me more confused.
It doesn't really matter. Refer to them however you want. They're toys.

I'm also a big fan of the Hauler/Inferno mold. I was just thinking, with some modifications, would it make a good Hotspot for the next set of Protectobots, if we get them? It would be different than Menasor, because the actual Hotspot figure would have to become the torso, but would we have to get an entirely new mold? And even if we do, can Hasbro make the vehicle mode still look like a blue Inferno? CW Hotspot's truck mode didn't really work.

Hotspot was a different style fire truck (and one I definitely saw more in 'real life'). I have the CW Protectobots, and they aren't the best, but they aren't the worst either. I probably would want Hotspot to just be Hotspot. Although the other combiners didn't have the 'frame' aspect of Menasor, I could see them still creatively implementing the same kind of transformation for all those guys.

I think when it comes to the turn of the other combiners, they'll approach each one as its own thing and design the combining system around that (while Menasor had lucky accident compatibility with CW, I bet the others won't even have that.)
However, if rumours are to be believed we might not be looking at another combiner till the line after next if they were to follow the stunticon pattern.

Yeah. I held up my plans for Unite Warriors Superion for the possibility, but he's back on the menu because I can enjoy a good two years before I need to think about replacing it.

Just buy the KO combiner wars, it's a lot cheaper and worth the money you pay!

That's exactly what I do. I always Refer to them by name because they are just toys. But whenever someone accidentally refers to one as he or she, and it happens to be wrong fictionally, Sabre is usually there with a quick correction.

I'm almost aghast to admit it, but I have the KO combiner wars Constructicons that are 'deluxe' sized and I can tell you they are just as good quality as the Hasbro ones, only smaller.

I know. I will buy them eventually. I have a budget rule that I can only buy combiners if they are underpriced kos, and I was very impressed with the ko g2 bruticus I got for my birthday.

As a rule of thumb, ko talk should be restricted to the 3rd party Transformers forum. It's nestled in the non-tf part.

I love my CW Defensor, favorite combiner from the whole of prime wars. I am content with that one and hope it's a while before we worry about a new attempt.

Honestly, they NEED to do Monstructor before we get another CW/PotP re-do.

In this house, we like to Dino-truck

2. If we get a monstructor, it will probably be "updated" (i actually like the shell gimmick) like the new pretenders :(

I don't mind, as much as I love the original pretenders, I also would not mind a Monstructor using the shell/robot fusion

Dino trucks, I remember those.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Where did you get that Battle Cat truck, I can't find it anywhere.

Those with Metroplex, did you buy it at Target and if so was the box damaged by those security straps?

Didn't purchase Metroplex but I've seen it a few times. None of them had anti theft devices attached. In fact I e never seen one on a Titan at Target. Only the MPM Blackout recently which is ironic.

Smyths in UK, it's numbered 61/75 compared to skeletors number 46/75 but I'm sure it was released ages (internet is saying 2021) before Skeletor which seems newly out. It's something completely different to what I usually buy toy wise.

I'm guessing the security spiders are less about people opening the boxes or trying to sneak them out in their pockets and more about pretending to scan them at the self checkout. I'm sure it's up to the individual stores.

BTW, I got my Metroplex on Amazon.

Re-arranging the collection (pitiful attempt to make more room. HA!) and it came time to move CW Menasor.

Honestly, Legacy Stunticons/Menasor cannot be finished soon enough. Yeah, it has it's faults but you know what has faults? Windows ME. But you know what has more faults than Legacy Menasor and Windows ME? Combiner Wars Menasor.

CW Menasor can only be described in a way that Frenzal Rhomb describes Russell Crowe's band*.

I don't know how they got it so wrong when all the other combiners were pretty bloody solid. (More so when you give them decent feet)

I can take a good guess: Motormaster suffered from being the afterthought to Prime. Hasbro designed the MM mold with Optimus in mind, and Prime had to have the correct truck mode, so they decided to try to shoehorn the torso mode into it. And it simply just wasn't enough real estate. Hence why he's so floppy.

What should have been done in Prime Wars was what ended up happening in Legacy: we should've gotten a Motormaster with a trailer, and that could have been redecoed into Powermaster Prime in CW. Then that figure could have been the central part of Optimus Maximus. And in TR instead of getting that sorry excuse for a PM Prime (also a retool of another figure), we could have gotten a properly designed voyager Prime.

And that gives me an idea: could Legacy Motormaster be somehow retooled into PM Prime?
