The most plausible theory I've heard is that Arcee is a pretool for G2 Road Rocket. I can definitely see it with the way the front wheel splits and and can likely be placed over her shoulders and her non classic-feminine body.

That concept art definitely has more traditional Bulkhead proportions, yes. Shame it can't actually transform, since the legs completely change shape to become that truck bed/back half and the arms are entirely too thick to fit inside the chest like they do on the actual figure.

Hopefully we see the remaining Wave 1 Cores and some/all of Wave 2 sooner rather than later, considering how reveals were spaced for Kingdom.

I can see 3rd parties creating some add-on pieces for Bulkhead to get the proportions people want. Thigh pieces, and couple shin pieces and foot parts, and some shoulder covers with larger wheels.

The only real difference between the concept art and the final product is the proportions, honestly, and that comes down to physics and translating 2D artwork into a 3D functioning transforming toy. I'm going to go against popular opinion and say that the finalized figure looks better proportioned and less like a huge brick. The "bulk" is still there, just mostly in the chest and gut, which some guys are built like. It definitely fits in better with G1 than more stylized Transformers franchises like Animated or Prime.

Just saw Friday's news.

IMO Blitzwing should probably have been a Voyager while Legacy Armada Starscream should have been a Leader. I get SIEGE Astrotrain being a Leader, I would understand a new Octane being a Leader, but I don't know what Blitzwing has or needs that would require that. The Armada Seeker design, on the other hand, absolutely has things that would likely take the extra mass to deal with properly. Although at least a Voyager recreation won't be as pathetic as the Deluxe recreation.

Also wish Elita was a Voyager... She had better be a new freaking mold with her actual altmode.

EDIT: Forgot to say, definitely looking forward to Sludge tho. And will be interested to see how Junkheap looks, even if purchase will probably be low priority there.

I think the arms are supposed to go behind the back, not into the chest. And I don't really think the legs change shape; I think the feet fold down and the toes tuck in.

I'm okay with Blitzwing being labeled a leader, because it means he'd be a voyager under older size classes. He'll be fine next to my TR Astrotrain and Octane. If he's actually a good figure, that is.

Otherwise, Sludge and Jhiaxus are the only ones I'm really looking forward to. We already know what we're getting with Sludge (assuming they stay with the quality of the SS86 figures), and hopefully we get a Jhiaxus in proper colors, even though he should have been a leader as well.

Now if they ever get around to leader class Thunderwing and Straxus, I'll be set. But I know, only so many leader spots to go around.

Man, how I wish Bulkhead had the proportions of that concept art. The new figure just doesn't do the proportions on him justice.

The art is 100% cheating. If the arms are supposed to go back like Animated Bulk's transformation, then the spare tires behind the cab can't be where they are shown to be (and where we know they did end up on the actual product), and if the arms transform like they do on the figure we've seen, then they're supposed to fold inside the chest, but they don't have the clearance at this size to do so. As for the legs, the feet definitely do what you said since we've seen they fold up to form the truck bed's tailgate on the actual figure, but when I said they change shape I'm talking about the fact that the truck bed (and possibly both the legs the truck bed parts are attached to, it's hard to tell) is longer in the alt mode concept than it's parts are shown to be in bot mode with no visible mechanism to account for that change.
