The main flaw that was found in Kingdom Galvatron was or is fixed in the Legacy figure? My thanks in advance! :VEHI:

The shoulders have been fixed, might be a bit more of a wait for them to do a color matched upgrade kit unless the first DNA upgrade kit is a good enough match for the Legacy figure (theyve just done the reformatting version upgrade).

Either way its still pretty flawed figure with out the upgrade to make it look good/passable as Galvatron.
That's a matter of opinion, I think he's fine just the way he is after the shoulder fix. He's out of scale with that kit added on.

Agreed. I'm already annoyed that he's taller than Megatron, I'm not really sure why anyone would want him to be even taller. I prefer the look of the molded plastic chain that isn't going to move all over the place when I move the figure (and I have no idea why those pictures show the Matrix so far up his chest). Articulated hands I think are overrated, they're rarely done well and are only something Hasbro can point at to say they've added value to a figure (See: Earthrise Optimus Prime, SS86 Starscream), they don't do anyting for me. The rest is just stuff. As far as I'm concerned He's the best Galvatron we've ever gotten and the upgrade kit does nothing to actually make him better.

I like the Matrix on a chain and the gun, but the rest is stuff I don't need.

If they had included his sandcastle head I'd have gotten the toy colors version. Even having grey horns woulda made it VERY tempting.

Me shrugging, I don't get why anyone wouldn't want a proportionate and more accurate looking figure. Size is just a recent casualty of Tf toys suffering shrinkage over the past sets. Other upgrade matrix chains look better in all fairness but easier to avoid buying a bad figure in the first place. Even cw/tl ultra magnus had an upgrade to make him have all his modes so maybe legacy galvatron will get there one day - after replacing a high percentage of the original toy that can be discarded.

More preferable for me to give RED galv a few more head options at this point tho.

Oil Slick and Lockdown in particular are due for an update, and it's not hard to imagine a Prowl release a la Prime Arcee. I wouldn't hold out too much hope for Animated versions of existing characters, though, with the possible exception of Prime or Bee.
I feel like Helicopter Megs has a greater shot than either Prime OR Bee, honestly, since it's an entirely different alt mode as opposed to Prime just being a different truck or Bee just being a different car.

Possibly, but the Prime robot mode is iconic, and while that version of Bee has a lot in common with other takes, it's a really solid package that also has good mold reuse potential. I didn't watch that much of the series, but I didn't think that helicopter mode was very important in the context of the series.

The thing I like most about the Animated and Prime toy lines are their unique design and engineering approaches, but I don't think they would translate to Generations, and they didn't try to keep that with the Prime Legacy toys. After you strip that away from Animated, I don't think you have a compelling cause left, just a handful of underrepresented characters.
I mean I wouldn't say that it has much importance in the series, it mainly just hammers in the Decepticon's aerial advantage, which combined with signal dampeners gives them a whole season of basically being undetectable and later gives reason for the development of Optimus's jetpack upgrade. If you look outside the context of the series though, that Megatron design is the only one to ever have had that alt mode, which means if you remove the Animated artstyle to G1-ify new Animated updates (as we all suspect HasTak would do) you still have to give him a new mold. Optimus, on the other hand, has the same transformation as G1 and basically the same alt mode (especially if one leaves out the trailer, which they may do since Animated Prime's trailer serves no function until the finale/previously mentioned jetpack), which means I think they would just blurt him out as a repaint at that point, and in the contest between new new-mold Megatron figure with a unique alt mode and "new" Optimus figure that's just a repaint to emulate a different version of the character, I firmly believe Megatron would sell better since people who already have WFC tank Megatrons may double-dip for the new mold.

...unless they did Optimus with the Wingblade upgrade right out the gate instead of doing just regular Optimus, then there would be reason to do him in addition to Megatron and it would render this whole discussion moot.

I'll give you Bee because I wasn't thinking about the repaints, you're right, and seeing pre-Blackarachnia Wasp finally get a figure would be nice after the original one got cancelled.

I have no horse in this race since I don't buy upgrade kits and I have no interest in that Galvatron, but I fail to see how giving that figure calves longer than his torso is supposed to be "proportionate", it just looks bad.

That long-barreled Ultra Magnus gun on Red Cog is crooked in the picture. That won't stop me getting it, but the fact remains. I'll prbably get Terrorsaur too.

I wish I could get a couple of those backgrounds on clean plates.

So the Cog looks to be packing:
-at least one of that mold's gun (presumably 2 like Cog and Aragon, but who knows)
-WFC Magnus's main gun
-WFC Chromia's gun and extended barrel
-a bunch of interchangeable barrels, including one based off of CW Streetwise's shotgun?
-a flat boxy gun that I swear I've seen before but cannot place
-Prime Wheeljack's grenade?
Anyone else recognize anything in that arsenal?

If this is all they come with, I guess the Jetfire arm blade from the leaks got axed.

Still no interest in that Terrorsaur or raw chicken Dinobot.

Good eye, that's totally Chromia's gun and barrel. I wish they were in an even more neutral color, but I think it's worth picking up as an accessory pack. I can't place the triple-barreled rifle extension, but I think I've seen it before. (Edit: pretty sure you're right on that too, matches the barrel but not the stock for Streetwise.)

It looks like it's Kludged onto another gun, maybe the one from the previous accesory pack, but the triple barrel is the Prowl/Streetwise one, I believe.

I know Hasbro said that some "non G1" characters sell more than some "G1" characters, but looking at the facts, the only mainline Legacy figures that are selling out are the full on G1 characters. Went to look at Pulse today to see if there was more info on yesterday's reveal of Target exclusives and I saw nothing. but I took note of which mainline non exclusives were sold out and it was: Kickback, Wild Rider, Dragstrip and Menasor. Pretty cool that the high ticket item is sold out as a preorder, shows a lot of goodwill towards the brand.

I wasn't going to say anything, but since you brought it up. I did comment on what I observed on Pulse initially right after the comments from the fan event came out, same observation as you WJ. This is actually the 2nd time Dragstrip and Kickback have sold out on Pulse. They were restocked on Pulse last Friday 4/29 before selling out again in a relatively short amount of time. Skids sold out once, and is still in stock for the moment.

Core Class wave 1 is all OG, nothing to compare to yet

Deluxe Wave 1 3 og to Prime Arcee, which has yet to sell out on Pulse.

Voyager Wave 1- 2 Bulkheads ( new toy) to 1 Blaster ( Kingdom repack). I've only seen Blaster in store once, but it would only be logical since Bulkhead is new and there are presumably 2 times many of him shipping, it SHOULD sell more, or else there's a serious issue.

Leader Wave 1- 1 G2 Laser Prime and 1 OG Galvatron ( see Voyager scenario, except the distribution is even instead of 2 to 1).

Also it's still way too early to talk about wave 2 IMHO, but it seems natural that the Stunticons components would sell well, and sell out pre orders the quickest.

No problem with bringing it up, none of us are trying to start a flame war or anything, we are just reporting facts. And unlike other observations, this isn't anecdotal. Hasbro Pulse gives us the best look ever at what sells more than the rest. Now granted, Hasbro can easily still be right in their statement. If G2 Optimus sells more than Galvatron, or if there are more preorders for Tarantulas than Blitzwing, then sure some non G1 sell more than some G1. So it doesnt really mean anything. In the end, what we see speaks for itself. Though I do think for the stunticons selling out is not just due to "G1" and but more out of not wanting to roll the dice on retail. We've had it happen with other combining sets before, I myself fell victim to waiting too long for something to be the price I wanted and ended up with incomplete sets (Siege seekers and Orthea). I remember an analysis was done on which characters end up selling for most on the aftermarket and there was a consistency in the idea of a character which completed a set/team. Of course, the stunticons are very much part of G1, but that set factor really gives it that extra edge of demand over other characters, like Skids. And now that I think of it, Kickback is also the beginning of a set as well. By that logic, Tarantulas should sell out before the rest of wave 2 since that toy is needed to complete the Season 1 BW set. We'll see.
