Don't give us false hopes, lol.
He's probably a voyager because they can retool him into something else.
I wish you were right, though.

I think the only way we're getting real Pretenders, shell and all, is if Takara Tomy is fully all in on supporting them, not Hasbro. Maybe as an MP offshoot similar to MPG and MPM, MPP.

Hard to say since Override didn't happen the way they expected her to (we've all heard the story) and Metroplex likely only happened out of necessity, but thankfully they did a great job on him. I think they've definitely reevaluated any previous plans considering how popular the first two have been. I would personally love to see them take another stab at Evac because his arm propeller really gets in the way and legs and feet are weird. Can't imagine them doing Scourge better, he's even better now that the scale and shrunk and he's such a big figure.

No. looing at pictures of scourge he definitely could use some improvement. Easy retool if we get a new Predaking mold or vice versa.
I really like the look of armada shockwave, And think I worked well for a Cybertronian cryotek. Hope we get them too, even though they are not planet leaders.

How did I not think of that? Yes. If he has no shell, Cyclonus is the PERFECT mold for him!

Hasbro initially pitched and planned for Override to be a heavy retool of Hot Rod, Takara instead countered that by figuring out a way to make an entirely new mold for her with the budget of a retool (she only uses 4 mold-sprues instead of the 12 or so other Voyagers do).Tracytron54321 wrote:Emerje wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:I wonder if we'll get the other 2 planet leaders from Cybertron.

I think it's only a matter of time. But honestly, I can wait, the OG toys of those are some of my favourites and while lacking in articulation compared to other toys today they are both still phenomenal.

I unpacked and played with Elita-1. Much more impressive than what I initially thought. She looks beautiful in bot mode with a very compressed backpack. Her clown car mode is hilarious and cute. Plus I find clever that her vehicle "hat" is a peg-in accessory so that they can do the same with Minerva's "light bar".
But what impressed me more is how her arms works in her transformation. There's "secret peg holes" in her forearms for things to tab in just by using the space when her forearm is folded a little, and her wrist swivel slot. That's some intelligent design right here.
Despite Minerva not being a headmaster, I look forward having her.

Right now, POTP Optimal Optimus goes for around $100 on the aftermarket. We'll see just how much that price rises with this new image showing that Transmetal II Dragon Megatron scales perfectly with him. We have the show scale chart below that you can compare to. We have other images of Dragon Megatron from Sam Smith's Instagram page and you can find those below. In other Transformers Legacy news, there's now a review for Legacy Pointblank and Peacemaker. Yeah, it's a little strange how they specifically said they were aiming for Iron-Man red and gold, but somehow ended up with a lot of purple. I would have preferred a darker red instead of purple that fades into the rest of the red.

That actually scales really well! Certainly better than the original toy, where bot mode Megatron ended up a LOT shorter than Optimal Optimus. Gotta keep him in dragon form to still look intimidating on the shelf, haha.

Not sure why everyone is so upset about the purple, seems pretty accurate to the show.

Re: Transformers Legacy Line Discussion

As you may recall, Siege Crosshairs was releaed with no Targetmaster and one of Hasbro's main designers, Mark Maher, did not want that to repeat for Pointblank. At the same time, they wanted to also give fans a deluxe class figure of similar standards, so that's why below you will see a bunch of notes related tocost when designing a figure. It's interesting to see that the designer wanted to ensure a strong hinge for the clear plastic cockpit, so wrist articulation was removed in favour of that. Hasbro is sparing nosecrets from us here and you can see how everything was decided to bring you the toy you'll get.
One very interesting note is that the person who designed the transformation is Shogo Hasui, the same legendary designer who gave us MP-10, MP Sideswipe, CW Devastator, HFTD Starscream, Prime Starscream and even the classics seeker mold. It was his idea to give Pointblank his comic head rather than his Headmasters head. So if you don't like the final resulting headsculpt, you can blame Takara. The full post is after these images.

"Deluxe Legacy Pointblank and his Targetmaster Peacemaker are finally here to hop into your collection! . Had to break out my mint Crosshairs to showcase how both of these bots looked together.
I had the pleasure of doing the deco for Crosshairs and I was kinda bummed I wasn’t able to get Pinpointer in there. This time around since I lead the design of this guy I thought it was essential to add in Peacemaker. I soon realized how cost challenging it was to include a target master at a Deluxe scale and pricepoint. . The first image is my own redraw concept art of Pointblank and Peacemaker. Ive been really using alot of reference art that everyone already knows and loves, especially with tight schedules, they seem to be great for kicking off the project. You can see the reuse of the comics art alt mode here was perfect to use. I absolutely love this rendition of his cybertronian race car alt mode.
Hasui san took the reigns and made the great suggestion of doing the fin styled head that was never made in toyform. Anything that is in the g1 cartoon is a go for me even if its from the later seasons. . You can see an additional weapon engine accessory was costed out along with a bunch of other comments made to fine tune this guy. Hasui really had so many tweaks in order to fix up this guy, I just couldn’t find a way to showcase them all here. I added my comments to ensure we were aligned on trying to make this the best version of Pointblank ever.
You can see the targetmaster is blast effect compatible. There is elbow swivel on Pointblank for those that have been asking, but the articulation range on this guy really gives you a plethora of posing options and is really fun to tinker with. The arm transformation was a treat and I can’t wait for yall to get these guys!
Have a great weekend and thank you all for bringing your passion and support to the Transformers universe!"
