So the Junkions. Looks like a motorcycle that can be paired up and stuck to the front of Scraphook replacing the front end, that's interesting. And part of the missing front end is attached to the motorcycle as a sidecar. Really cool that they were able to work a bunch of modulating in both modes!

And to Scraphooks other side appears to be Lockdown? Pretty sure he hasn't been listed at all so it's probably "Deluxe Junkion 3". I'm starting to think Detritus will be a Scraphook retool if all the Junkions are going to be modular.

It's not just the Nemesis being shown but also a Quintesson Cruiser even though they haven't been part of this line so far. Wonder what that could mean?

Would love a Lockdown. Even a modular one.

Crosscut (skids repaint) by the looks of it to me.

*also the lockdown looking bot could be cybertron* downshift or a possibility of them using it for five uses just to be thrifty.

Yes to everything, I wanted to skip the dinos but the Combiner is fun. Here's hoping for Monstructor even if smol

The poster really makes Tarn feel like The Fallen from RotF. Dunno why, but I like that and we need a good G1 Fallen. But I would also love to army build a few of this guy a la Cyberverseand the DJD version of him was so good as well, I just wish we had more of the DJD. In a pinch I could toss in Barricade I guess?

Why does Hot Shot have an obvious spot for a Minocon and no minion? Is there a Monicon somewhere? Needlenose got two comparable figures

Needle one I wish he was a Voyager so he fit with my 11 Seekers, and or wasn't so simple, but it's nice to see him. Reminds me more than a little of the TFCC version for some reason, maybe its just the generic jetformer transformation doing it.

Weaponizers? Eh. Weaponizer JUNKIONS? HELL YEAH. It just makes sense. Hope we get a Detritus.

Lio looks amazing. I didn't pick up every random Beastformer in Legacy and Kingdom, but I Can't wait to get him added.

These reveals are all lovely. Well, one's only "alright" but still.

Hot Shot: Pity he's not a Voyager but otherwise great. Tops the Universe Deluxe by actually having the axelzooka. Not bothered by lack of Jolt, because trying to force Jolt on top of everything they successfully wrung out of the budget would have had bad results.

Scraphook: Brilliant new Junkion, love the design, clever idea.

Needlenose: A tad overdue, but better late than never, and nice to see that they pulled off a Scoop with him. Now we just need Landfill, Quickmix, & ideally a new-mold Quake

Core-class Dinobots: Smol Dinobots are overdue if you ask me, and these look good. I'd be more excited for core-class Galvatron, but these are neat.

Core Soundblaster: Well, that was inevitable. Pity that like the MP he repeats the animation model's coloring frak-up, but then again I doubt they would be doing the gimmick with him so... *shrug* Also, another for the list of Hasbro reps screwing up transformations at toy shows.
I swear, these people could mess up a One-step lol

Breakdown: Ohey, the spoiler becomes an axe blade. Clever.

Tarn: Good showing. Not super-interested in the character, but he'd still make a cool-looking addition to my CHUG Decepticons.

Lio Convoy: Well-executed update. And unlike Kingdom Primal, the realistic beast mode face doesn't hurt him. (On Primal, it's a detriment IMO because it undercuts the effort taken to let him assume human posture a la the cartoon)
WANT:
* Cyb. Galvatron key, missiles
* Omega Lock
* Primus Cyber Key, coattail panel
* Powerlinx Comettor
* Leader Sentinel Prime sword, shield
* RiD Galvy dragon head, beast arms
* Leader Ironhide windshield, R hood assy.
* Cyb. Wing Saber left chestplate (argh)

I haven't been getting any of the "popular character but smol" Core figures, so I'll be skipping these, but I'd absolutely be down for Monstructor and/or Dinoking in the future (and also Dinobot Number 6, since I doubt we'll be getting a big version of them). Also hey look they finally made a new Buzzsaw

Breakdown has been discussed to death already. Pass.

Scraphook looks fantastic, I am very excited to see how the rest of these Junkions turn out. I love basically every design decision that was made for this guy. Can't wait to pick him up.

Needlenose looks a little...plain, I guess, in terms of paint, but that is accurate to what he looks like, so whatever. I'm glad to see him finally made, and I am pleasantly surprised that they seem to have included his Targetmasters without screwing him over like Pointblank. He'll be a purchase for me.

Hot Shot looks like the best iteration of the Armada design yet except for the questionable knee situation (and lack of Jolt, but I think we all expected that at this point). I won't be getting him and will just be sticking with the Selects though, since Cybertron was the point in the UT at which I actually liked Hot Shot and the inaccuracies of the Selects figure don't bother me. That being said, I will be curious to see pics of this Hot Shot with the Star Saber from Wave 3's Screamer, as now I suspect the reason that Star Saber is the size it is is because it's actually scaled to Hot Shot instead of the figure it comes with.

Tarn is legitimately perfect and purchased on sight, the only thing that could possibly make him better is a removable mask and that's practically asking for a miracle in the mainline. If Bludgeon ends up being a retool of this mold I will not be mad in the slightest.

Leo Prime also looks really good, although his derpy lion face is hilarious. This'll be the the first time I can think of where I'll be buying both Voyagers from a single wave (not counting Blaster and Bulkhead since I got Blaster during Kingdom).

Rtron wrote:Just saw a tweet where someone clocked the Animated Space bridge on the Evolution poster, just behind and above Lio Convoy. So maybe I'm not seeing things with that Lockdown Junkion.

The tweet in question: https://twitter.com/ChromeTyranno/statu ... 1941851136
I personally am not expecting any of these modular Junkions to get retooled into characters that haven't had that gimmick unless those characters were nobodies before, based on the reuses the WFC modular guys got (although I suppose Lockdown's mod-thievery might be enough to count), but that space bridge could also easily be a clue as to the identity of our Wave 2 mystery Prowl....

Other thing on this poster of note that I don't think I've seen anyone mention here yet: ALL SEVEN G1 Insecticons, Deluxes included.

Flashwave wrote:Why does Hot Shot have an obvious spot for a Minocon and no minion? Is there a Monicon somewhere? Needlenose got two comparable figures
I don't think two slabs with no joints that transform by lying down are exactly comparable to a Mini-Con.

My thoughts on the event today. First, we finally got a brand new character! Second, I am very happy with the way Tarn looks and can't wait to get him. I really like the way SG Soundwave turned out and I'm now considering getting him. Finally, I'm sad Legacy Magnificus wasn't revealed.

I think I am most amused by Needlenose having soo much back kibble that he is packaged behind the cardboard insert looking through it.

I couldn't tell because of the blurry pictures I've seen, I was only able to make out Kickback, Shrapnel, and Bombshell, but the fact there's all 7 makes me excited. I'm glad the rest of the "Deluxe Insecticons" are getting new figures along with the main 3.

They did that to Scraphook and Hot Shot too, I don't think that was specifically because of Needlenose's kibble so much as that's what they're doing for Deluxes next year.

I'm guessing whoever assembled the boxes for the photos did it backwards because normally that "window" is what the kibble goes through. As packaging goes it doesn't really make sense to do two layers like this, they'd normally just make the window even smaller. Until we see more packaging shots I'm going to say this is an error.

Also Needlenose appears to have a mid jet hinge so it may be possible to flip the front of the jet up so it isn't just hanging off his back unaltered.

Hey... complaining seems to work too. Blitzwing keeps getting remade because the fans don't like the previous one. I expect another in 2 years :roll: I'm just trying to nip this Dinoking thing in the bud. They gotta do it right. I put off getting 3P FT versions because I figured Hasbro would get to them eventually....and they would do it right this time....right? ( crickets)
