AllNewSuperRobot wrote:But that's just Ransack. In truth they already have pre-existing Transformers moulds that are perfectly fine to reappropriate as the Deluxe Insecticons. They are old and in need of modernising. But some of the Beast Wars designs - Ramhorn, TM2 Scourge, Cicadacon - Basically are the Deluxe Insecticons in all but name.

HasTak barely does anything with the standard Insecticon trio anymore. If there were seven of them. They might be more inclined to raise their profile once more. Pairing them off against a rival team IE The Dinobots ala the High Moon games.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.
Does this year's new Kickback toy somehow not count?M. Spector wrote:That may be so, but we really haven't gotten any new Insecticons since PotP I think? At least in physical toy form, disregarding video games obviously.

Not bad. Smaller and simpler than a voyager should be, but the transformation is faithful to the original. Could have had the wingsword, though, instead of a cheap imitation.Nemesis Destron wrote:It looks like PrimeVSPrime has a video review for upcoming voyager Starscream.

There hasn't really been a need for any, what with Thrilling 30 Skrapnel, Combiner Wars Bombshell, Titans Return Kickback, and the re-release of Skrapnel in Power of the Primes having already completed the trio. Siege, Earthrise, and Kingdom would have been too soon to redo the trio all over again.M. Spector wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Does this year's new Kickback toy somehow not count?M. Of course he does? Im saying between the expected Legacy stuff and PoTP there hasnt been a storm of Insecticon toys across all the different lines

Never underestimate Hasbro's power of fake parts.william-james88 wrote:chuckdawg1999 wrote:SpaceEagle wrote:I'm still shocked they haven't even put a single Pretender or even an Action Master in the R.E.D. line as is. I've got nothing against Ultimates! and I'm glad they're at least giving some interesting offerings (such as Pretenders/AMs) but it still baffles me that Hasbro hasn't even put figures known for not being able to transfo- convert in their line all about...figures that don't convert.
Wait, I heard something about Hasbro having issues with the term Transform vs. Convert, what did I miss?
Their legal team forbids them from using the verb transform, so they use convert.
More specifically they fear that if they use the word transform too casually as a common word it'll jeopardize their ability to trademark "Transformers" as you can't (normally) trademark common words. Original packaging in the 80s did say "transforms", but they've long since replaced that with "converts".
