I would be willing to bet that the neck actually can sit properly flush and was just transformed incompetently. And I would also bet that the neck working like that at all is the price paid for some of the magic disappearing kibble.

There is nothing wrong with his neck, you just have to transform it properly. Like with any other figure.

This. What's wrong with his neck is that the schmuck who posed him for the display either didn't push it down properly or moved it out of place without noticing.

Anyone have any personal favorite MPs that you felt were better in their newer/older versions? How were they improved or detracted from?

There is no snark intended, i just want to see what you see. The image you provided is indeed not transformed properly. Stick to official images or wait till someone who transforms it correctly takes better pics.

Problem is, for a select few, mp 21 had the wrong alt mode. They wanted the chibi beetle just like the toon... Well, you know what they say about being careful what you wish for.
Personally, I much preferred the approach of the Masterpiece range back then, realistic alts to toon bots. Guess that wasn't where the money was though

This was found at a Toys R Us in Drummondsville, Canada. I'm boggled as to how they would carry an expensive figure like this

I had my suspicions at first. That glow effect on the headlights was particularly a sign of photoshop for me. But then I saw the articulated hands and figured it was real. Whoops

TRU carries Hasbro MPMs in canada, nomatter the price. The MP10 reissue was the same prixe and they carried it too so no surprise.

The big giveaway would be the manufacturer logo. GMC was for Ironhide, but Ratchet's was Hummer.
