It is easy to forget how big MP Megs was
I'd like to see a comparison image between him and Siege Jetfire. But it doesn't look like anyone has taken those images.

If you remove the insect-legs from Megabolt's tank mode, he fits almost perfectly into the neck-socket of the Fortress Maximus mold.
Sabrblade wrote:TFormers doesn't permit hotlinking.
Yeah, TFormers (and TFU.info) doesn't like people posting their pics offsite, making them show up as broken pics for others. The way to get around this is to upload their image URLs to someplace like Imgur.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:TFormers doesn't permit hotlinking.
I had to actually look up what that was. Just as a FYI, I copy image address links. Never even click on the sites. Why this seems ok with some and hotlinks for others, I don't know.

Incidentally, does anyone know the size difference between MP BW Megs and Siege Jetfire?

So that would be ten potential MP releases this year (obviously some of them are dubious for 2021). That seems like a lot more than normal?

I can't find all 10, what ones am I missing?
Skids
Skids redeco
Starscream
Skywarp
Thundercracker
Raiden
Jetfire

One thing is sure. That's one MP set I'll never buy. Appart the obvious too expensive, I have no attachment to the characters. And if I'd get the MP, I'd want the original G1 to go with it and we all know that the original is NOPE'd priced.

Is Raiden that much more popular than I realize? I admit my knowledge is very narrow - G1, Prime, the Bayverse and the netflix series, but it seems if they were to do a combiner they would go with either a bigger name - Devastator etc. or one that they can use some pre-existing molds to save cash, like Menasor.
But if Raiden ends up be the size of a normal CW Combiner, then each of his components may end up smaller than almost every MP toy released so far. Unlike the similarly small Blackarachnia, the Trainbots aren't so complex in their design, so we could be looking at six Deluxe-sized MPs that could easily be sold as a giftset for anywhere between Titan price and MP-44 price. Certainly not more than Unicron price.Emerje wrote:I doubt Raiden will be sold as a single box set, it would cost twice as much as Unicron if that were the case. They'd still be all new molds. Selects is for redecos and retools only. And a Deluxe-sized MP is still a MP, like the aforementioned MP Blackarachnia.Emerje wrote:Sabrblade wrote:But if Raiden ends up be the size of a normal CW Combiner, then each of his components may end up smaller than almost every MP toy released so far. Highly doubt this will be the case. If it's simple, Deluxe sized bots then why bother calling them MPs in the first place? They'd just be Takara Tomy Selects or something, no different from any other Generations combiner. I have no doubt Raiden will be 19" tall or so, otherwise there's no point in trying.

I'm saying that if Raiden turns out to be scaled to match the size of the other CW Combiners, then he and his components will be out of scale with the rest of the Masterpiece line to instead fit the scale of the Unite Warriors line, even though he'll be sold as MP with all the requisite MP-level engineering. The Trainbots will be tiny MPs if that turns out to be the case. It's the darn ambiguity of "Unite Warriors size" that leaves us so uncertain about his size.Emerje wrote:Sabrblade wrote:They'd still be all new molds. Selects is for redecos and retools only. But Blackarachnia is only Deluxe sized because of scale, are the trains also smaller than most Autobots? I thought they were only a little shorter than the Headmasters or about the same size as Hot Rod who are all supposed to be taller than the original Diaclone based cars? Seems like anything less than Voyager height would be wrong. Scale is supposed to be a important to Masterpiece, why would they abandon that for a combiner of all things?
