Yeah, the reason they did that was because of the placement of the red lower legs in vehicle mode needed them to be red for the car carrier's bed. Otherwise, the car carrier would have been solid blue and white with no red.

As a cartoon fan, I utterly love the red bumper! My only disappointment is the red lower leg. The interior trailer bed does not need to be red because there won't be much visibility once you load the MP cars inside his trailer. Therefore, that whole rear trailer bed should've been blue which would give us a nice solid blue lower leg. However, the bottom folding panel side of the trailer, that should stay red.

The red bumper is cartoon accurate. Never realized that his bumper is red in transformers the movie. I think all masterpiece color schemes should be based on TFTM. I think UM looks great - only complaint would be the red on the legs. Would look better in both modes if it was blue.

How have I never noticed the show UM had a red bumper until now? I don't mind the legs being red. I love the design.

That's solved by a hinge between the legs in carrier mode that rotate round to make the leg blue in robot mode. It does mean more plastic of course.

I think vehicle mode is slightly mistransformed. It looks like that red flap in front of the rear wheels is supposed to pivot on that joint to make a long red stripe along the side of the trailer.

Looks like his chest is on the inside of the front of the cab. Transforming this is going to be sooo much fun

Looking at the final colours, the only thing I don't really like are the red lower legs, other than that this is awesome.

as for the bumper, i have a (sort of broken) spare MP10 i could trade bumpers with, but as its been said already, he'll be displayed in bot mode anyways. so i dont mind.

I am disliking this figure more and more. Stupid red legs. And a red bumper? Really? Some things don't translate well from cartoon to toy.

Yeah the chest looks like it does fold out of the cab alright, but the back of it, not the front. The rear wall of the cab contains the matrix chamber, judging by all Ive seen online, including the concept art. The cab looks like the wheels fold in under themselves, and allow the rear of the cab to fold roughly where the gas tanks are, which end up on Magnus' shoulders. Also it looks like the interior of the cab rotates head-over-heels forwards too once the back has folded down, and the front has done that double fold to become the coat-tails. I get the impression that the cab then kinda U-clamps down over the cab-end of the trailer to become the head, front chest and back.
And Magnus' upper-back seems to be the floor of the cab flipped and facing backwards.

Cannot wait for this to come out.

Is this the first we've seen of this Spike and Daniel? It seems likely that a domestic MP Magnus release would include them as well, like the Spike that came with the last MP Op, but I may have to spring for the Japanese release just to be certain. It's Season 3 overload!

Now, what potential MP would come with a matching Carly...

It looks pretty good. Cab mode is great. Bot mod still kinda chunky. This was never my fav ultra Magnus design anyway so probably wouldn't get it.

it looks nice, but the cab is probably just a hollow piece of plastic like citizen stack. Looks to just clip into the chest area and hang off the back.

same mold as MP10, without the transformation.
