I mean, just think of the price point MP-10 is/was at... And all the stuff he came with. He better come with EVERY accessory ever seen in BW

they did this because they can. they got away with mp 36, and thought "the fools actually buy this stuff for $200+". if people blindly except it and pay the prices, takara will keep doing this.

If he were a real Velociraptor, yes. But Dinobot is based on those from Jurassic Park, who are more similar to the taller Deinonychus. The real animal was still only about half human sized however. Coincidentally, Utahraptor was unveiled a few years prior, and was roughly the height of a standard human. Food for thought

Pages of people tapping out over the price...but how much you wanna bet this thing sells out upon arrival? Then the restock sells for $270 and everybody on here bites the bullet. Thats what happened to me for MP-36. Good thing im not a hardcore BW fan. Im done with MP unless they come out with Blitzwing, Astrotrain, Reflector, or the Insecticons. (Or more Yes Model seekers lol)

So I got cheetor for $70 and Primal for $70... How can that price be justified? I can understand that a lot of engineering has gone into the toy, but charging 3 times the price of the other two figures in the line seems wrong. Even $140 is reaching the high end of what I was expecting.

I hope it's wrong. I really do. I buy so few transformers any more so not at least having all the BW MP would be a bummer.

So the price is clearly because Takara Tomy included a crossover with Hirohiko Araki, You're able to use MP Dinobot to turn yourself into a Utahraptor much like the Stand {Scary Monsters}. Duh

Dinobot should only be a little taller than Primal which isn't enough to explain the price jump. I doubt complexity would be much different from Cheetor either. That means they probably did something entirely unnecessary with this figure like stick a motor in his tail to make it spin. He'll probably also have light up eyes like Primal to imitate his lasers. I also wouldn't be surprised if he came with some protohumans as well. Not sure if all of that is enough to explain the price, but it's a start.

Damn so much for getting Dinobot. At that price I think I will wait and see if a 3rd party company makes one for half that.

It's gotta be a mistake or Takara is really underestimating the knock-off market. They'd have the thing produced in two months for under $100 and most people would settle before paying $245 for an MP of his scale. It would be a bad strategy on Takara's part.

Wouldn't count on it, that's far too cheap, Cheetor cost more than that and Dinobot will most certainly be more expensive. It clearly says at the top retail(pcs) as in price per piece and then CT (count) 4 pieces in a case. I doubt all of the retailers would have made that same mistake.

The full reveal for the upcoming Transformers Masterpiece Beast Wars Dinobot is right around the corner. While waiting, we have been privy to a possible price point and now we have information regarding all the features he will come with, such as accessories and electronics. What you will find below is an interpretation of a Chinese language post written on TFND's Facebook page.

• Fully poseable raptor mode
• Beast mode eyes can be changed
• Sculpted scales under a layer of printed texture all through the beast mode body
• Robot mode is bigger and broader than Optimus Primal
• Hand can hold both weapons in his hands
• The tail shield spins
• Has two extra faces, where one is smiling and one is roaring (probably angry)
• Will have two different coloured eye pieces, to be used with a light up feature (to replicate the lazer beams)
• He will also come with a gold disk accessory and a base that can be used in both modes
