I'm sorry, but I don't get it. I feel like there's a chunck of story missing here. It's a single page, not a storybook. Keep it simple.

mirage funding ratbat? its....not something I could see mirage doing. I mean yeah,he's rich and all, but he aways seemed like a bit of a pacifist. like he probably didn't join the war till after it stared. But then again, if you had more pages you might be able to play the whole feeling worthless thing out better. oh and by the way LOVE THAT ART!

Now this is one of the better Mosaics in my opinion - took me a moment to connect Ratbat's humanoid design to the cassetticon, but that's all. It also provides a good bridge between 'Weathy playboy who'd rather be out turbofox-hunting' and 'near-fanatic to the Autobot cause' by making it that Mirage (likely behind the scenes) discovers that his funding Ratbat's arena was actually used to fund the Decepticons and so his primary reason for being an Autobot is to make up for it.

I like it, it adds a bit of depth to a character normally overlooked in favor of guys like Bumblebee or Ironhide, Prowl, Jazz or Bluestreak. Usually Mirage just gets 'wealthy playboy' or 'Decepticon-sympathiser' and that's that, but this actually gives him a reason for fighting the war instead of simply being a neutral.

pretty good if you ask me, adds some much needed background to Mirage. This shows why a pacifist would join the autobots to fight the Decepticons.

Makes total sense. Spoiled elitist type with few real friends doesn't want to get alienated so he throws in to prove he's just like everyone else only to find out later that who he threw in WITH was totally the wrong crowd.
This probably does make more sense for those of us who have followed Mirage since the very beginning and could have used a bit more clarification for the sake of some of the folks newer to the G1 stories but still I thought this was a really good Mosaic.

Thank you again (and the others who left similar comments), this simply is the greatest goal for a comic: making readers think about possibilities, connections, consequences.
The idea of reaching it with my simple fan-writing is wonderful.
