The 360 hddvd player connects via usb to the 360. Guess what happens if you just connect it via usb to your computer instead? Yes, it works.

All you'll then need is a recent copy of Powerdvd, and you'll be able to watch hddvds on the pc.

Ok. I watched almost all of the feature commentary. (I could not stand listening to that man talk about himself for more than an hour.)

Did anyone else get the impression that Bay seems to be A LOT like the character of Michael Scott from NBC's The Office? The man CANNOT stop talking about himself, his style, his ideas, his opinions, his history, how everyone loves him... my wife and I both started laughing at his commentary after a while.

If I'm the only one that thinks this, fine. I'll shut up. I just CANNOT stand this man and I still think the action was the ONLY saving grace of the film.

You also need a Driver as well. All of the info is laid out in this article: http://uneasysilence.com/archive/2006/11/8303/

I should have skipped the Walmart bonus disk. It wasn't worth $5 bucks.

In Canada, FutureShop has two metal case 2-DVD sets. One with the Autobot symbol and one with the Decepticon symbol. Both are embossed

I got the walmart exclusive and wasn't too impressed with the "prequel". Transformer Beginings looks like a flash trailer for a comic book that you would see at marvel.com. Peter Cullen narrates only a fraction of it, the rest is narrated by Bumblebee. Pretty weak if you ask me.

I enjoyed the prequel.

It is a narrated comic book from the IDW prequel comics, but I thought they did a great job with it.

It sux that it came with the single disk edition of the movie though. I picked up the target transforming case with the 2 disk SE, so I'll just give the single disk to my nephew.

I was talking about the animated prequel comic DVD that was the Walmart exclusive.
There was a prequel comic booklet that came with the transforming Target case, but it was a different story.
That story was also posted as PDFs earlier in the week on this site somewhere.

For a person who's seen the movie in theaters 7 times I'm sad to say I'm disappointed in the 2 disk set. There are no outtakes or real deleted scenes. The eater eggs aren't worth searching for. The only "cool" thing was the easter egg of the deleted Xbox scene with the woman in her underwear. 90% of all the stuff on the disk is Bay talking about himself, or trying to put himself in the movie. And yes he had the I don't care about the fans attitude. You get your money's worth getting the Walmart 2-pack. For those of us who grew up in the 80s it will remind you of the old Golden Books videos, like He-Man. Plus it has Cullen AND Welker.

I agree with Skowl; there's just too many exclusives. Besides, I'm happy with the DVD I got from Walgreens last night.

Did see the Wal-Mart on West Hunt Highway has new figures though, if you happen to live in the Queen Creek area here in AZ. New to me anyway, as I bet 08 Bumblebee and Longarm should have been out a while now. I only mean that this was the first I'd seen them.

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

I do like thou how I can see the errors I thought I saw but no one else did. Watch the scene where Prime scans the truck. The Prime truck is the one driving and the regular Peterbuilt is the one on the hill. Check the emblem on the grill and you'll see what I'm talking about. Some dumbass director screwed up, and shockingly  he forgot to mention that in his commentary.

And, BTW, the "Devastator" "typo" is still in the film.

I got the Decepticon version because they were out of the Autobot version. The disc 2 menu has the Decepticon symbol and Megatron. Does the Autobot version have the Autobot symbol and Optimus? I wonder if it's two different discs or if there's some way to unlock each version.

"Albertsons, part of the Supervalu company, will have an exclusive Mousepad. No Price or pictures have been confirmed."

I bought a copy of the TF DVD from Jewel Osco and it is selling for $19.95. The mouse pad features Megatron and Optimus head shot facing each other like one of the wallpapers that was made to promote the movie.

He should. He made transformers fans out of people who didnt give a rats ass about TF. HE made TF cool again. And for better or worse, he is directing the next set of movies.

Peter Jackson is overrated just like Tarentino. You sound worse then the Star Wars fans who bitch about Lucas.

He did TF right. The title is Transformers. Not "TRANSFORMERS THE G1 LIVE ACTION MOVIE".

Lucas's prequels were crap -everyone can agree on that. Tarentino is not overrated - he is a strong director. Jackson's 11 oscars speak for themselves. He deserves everyone and fans give respect because he had genuine love for the material - MB doesn't. Michael Bay is good at live action and mixing effects, practical stunts, and action, but not much else. I give ILM most of the credit for making the Tfs kick ass. Story was weak. Too much human element in this movie not enough development/background on all the TFs, especially the decepticons. They just came out of nowhere. I'm not giving him that much credit, you Bay fans act like no one could've done it better. Not true. And just b/c TF was a success -doesn't give him free reign to be an egotistical DB, "I own the TF." attitude.

I'm not Bay's biggest fan but things like the story being weak and there being a lack of character development are probably more to do with the script than the direction.
