They so often forget to paint the cuffs around his biceps and the blue on the top of his foot I always notice that lack when it's not done. This time they have done the main cuff and not done the one on the tricep on the back of his arms.

There is some gold or copper missing on his legs too and some blue missing on the outer part of his elbows.

I would have really liked a more curved shoulder piece - a flip out piece there to fill in the front edge of his should panels and some hinged extensions for the chest doors lower edges would be nice too.

More separate metal wing mirrors would be nice too.

He looks nicer in the in hand shot on someone desk than he does in the official pics I feel.

Oh, I agree. MB-11 is fantastic. No regrets about it.

I do like the faceplated head on MB-11 more than the open face on this one.

And oftentimes it is cheaper or about the same price than getting it from a domestic Toys R Us.

Hmm. This does look pretty nice but I think I'm fine with my original RotF Leader. Some things look slightly off but it's not a big deal. I'm interested in seeing some in hand shots and opinions when this is released but I don't see my self spending the $100. Still looks great and between this and the Movie the Best Prime there are two almost perfect representations of Movie Prime.

They're both transformed correctly/the same way/the way the instructions for the toy say to do it. Photo in the site gallery has the gas tank thingies attached and the other doesn't. Additionally, it's a comparison of a straight on shot vs one at an angle.

In other news, I like everything about MPM-4 except for those elbows. Those are, I mean, what in the world? MP figure of the second most iconic Optimus Prime design and it gets shrimpy little hinges :'(

Ignoring the elbows, the rest looks great to me based on the few photos available. Takes the RotF design and tacks on the last 8 years (sheesh I'm getting old) of Movie Prime toy design improvements and distills them into a shockingly affordable package. I'm sure it probably isn't but here's hoping it's compatible with the DotM Jetwing pack!

I gotta be honest. I'm really hooked for this mold! I've never been so excited for a Masterpiece for a while! The other figures are great, but this feels special for me, and he will look great with Nightwatch Prime and ROTF Prime!

Ah actually I think the panels themselves are fine but it's the grey parts that make up the lower piece of the smokestacks should be tucked away under the panels not above like they are in that shot. Sorry I got the bit wrong but they shouldn't be there.

Well, I'm still very pumped for this figure. While I like the ROTF leader Prime mild,I certainly don't put it on the pedistal the rest of the fandom apparently does. To me, the MP looks far more accurate to the screen model for the 07 prime.

Everyone keeps comparing him to RotF Leader class... Correct me if I'm wrong... but he looks closer to a rebuild of the HftD/RtS Battle Hooks(?) Optimus Prime voyager than the leader. Especially those in-hand shots. Not to mention it would scale better with a large deluxe/small voyager MP Bumble Bee.

**Edit: Or was the voyager literally just a downscale of the leader? (it's been a while) ***

ROTF voyager prime is a downscale of the leader, yes.

Another cool thing about owning MB 11 and owning this guy is you would have a leader class prime representing him in he first movie and another one representing him in DOTM.

Do you want more images of the newly revealed MPM 04 Optimus Prime? Here are many more and what makes these extra special is that you finally see him properly transformed. These are all provided by Notrab on Weibo. We can finally see how different this is to the ROTF Leader mold, especially when looking at the backpack which is completely compressed for this figure to look like the CG model at all angles.

Yes!!!!! Ahhh man this pictures put all my problems with this toy to rest, can't wait now love this mold, I hope in the future they update to dotm!!! And I need scale now because I looks like is just a bit bigger than voyager evasion prime in robot mode from what I can tell in the on hand pics from yesterday. Love it!

I busted out ROTF Leader Prime, 2010 Leader Starscream and Battle Ops Bumblebee after some years in storage to see if they still held up and I was pleasantly surprised. If this is basically ROTF Prime but tweaked, I'd be delighted.

That said, I hope that the US release uses a warm gray or metallic gray plastic for the appropriate parts, rather than the ugly cheap gray plastic they've been using recently.
