Although I cannot guarantee it, this probably will end up like the last render and become a third-party figure.
Totally agree. How would they even get their hands on this render? Just doesn't add up.

But isnt this the same guy who put up pics of the Movie Voyager Megatron prototype before it was revealed? Those toys are made in Vietnam too but it was a leak from China.
No, the guy who first posted the prototypes was "Vector Sigma" on Facebook. The one that posted these CG images is the same person that posted the the ones above for the unofficial AOE/TLK Optimus Prime, Alucard Lee. Even his post for this one is just speculating, not confirming. I just don't find the guy reliable.

Agreed. Even at the base Hasbro figure it was amazing.
Also, how will it stand up to the M01 Commander? I mean aside from a nightmare of a transformation that thing's on par with the ROTF/DOTM Prime.

I really dont think it is. I like the mold as a low cost voyager but beyond that it makes for a really low effort leader Prime.
Firstly, the alt mode is all wrong. He never had that alt mode in those colours, so right off the bat you lose in terms of screen accuracy if you are looking for something to represent Prime in the movies. Second, he has terrible elbows. That was the main area where WeiJang should have improved and they left it pretty much like on the voyager. And thirdly, that toy cheats more than Bill Clinton with having a fake chest, and you can totally make out his feet in the back since they clash with the rest of the cab colours.
So sure its a cool toy, but on par with ROTF, not in your wildest dreams. It's even priced higher than the ROTF toy and it's a KO.

What about the elbows?
And of course you can get better proportions when you cheat the transformation and give it fake parts. But then is that what we want, a transformers to cheat its way through the transformation? Is that what you want from a masterpiece toy?
Dr Lockdown wrote:Also so what if it cheats? Don't all AOE toys do that?
william-james88 wrote:Dr Lockdown wrote:Also so what if it cheats? Don't all AOE toys do that?
I dont have them all. I have Drift and he doesnt cheat.
And the point was not to compare him with the rest of AOE but to compare him with the ROTF mold.
In that comparison we definitely care because you are comparing a toy that cheats to one that doesnt. A fake chest to a real one.
So, tell me, when it comes to chests, do you preffer them fake or real?

He does seem movie accurate in many parts of his body, but based on these photos, I still view the Leader Class Optimus Prime mold to be more superior in regards to his physical appearance. To me, he seems a little bit of a disappointment.
