There's speculation that the exchange rate price will put Trailbreaker at £135. To which, upon hearing the potential pricing refers to MP Trailbreaker. My G1 collector friends reaction was:

I mean I'm laughing at the price because it's considerably lower than I thought it would be even with shipping from Japan he'll be under $150 and potentially continue to drop more. I think he's the perfect price compared to the smaller Skids and similarly sized Inferno and Ironhide molds. And he looks great as both a real world Toyota and a generic cartoon truck (from the front).

I think this might be a similar case to Raiden. With a price drop not too long after the preorder goes global.
As much as we all moan that they just re-release the most popular characters ad nauseum. The reality is, those non-top tier characters aren't guaranteed to sell. From my friend's reactions, they don't think Trailbreaker is worth that figure, regardless.

holy hell you look great buddy. It is great to see you looking this good.
I preordered this guy. Trailbreaker is my favorite G1 Transformer, and this toy nails him. Nails him good too. He looks so good! I am in love it how good it looks!
the only thing I want to nitpick is that he did not come with a shield piece in any capacity. He should have something so I can have him projecting a forcefield!
Otherwise, he is wonderful, I cannot WAIT to get him!!!

Our Japan correspondent Matt in Japan has a video review for Transformers MP-56 Masterpiece Trailbreaker. This item was released just before the end of the year in Japan and he got his from Amazon Japan for ¥18,800 yen. In the review, Matt shows the accessories, like the different faces, and shows how Trailbreaker looks at from different angles. The side view is quite impressive since he ends up not having much of a backpack, the alt mode parts compress very elegantly. We also see him compared to MP skids for size along with preview Trailbreaker toys. Enjoy!

Got my Trailbreaker in today, and I have been messing with him tonight.
God, he is wonderful.
The robot mode just makes me giggle with glee, he is slick and lovely. And he can throw some great shapes. He is pure joy! I love how awkward but still fully functional he is! He is fun!
Transformation isn't that bad, and his truck mode is pretty hefty, he has some density to him in truck mode. I will keep the shiny grill on him.
This is a dream come true. He is wonderful. I absolutely love him.
