Prologue: Legend

They say every legend has a beginning and an end. But this legend will go on forever in the hearts of those who believe in such a myth. Although the story is told in many different ways, it always begins and ends the same way without a fault. You’re probably wondering what I’m going on about in such a talk.

There is a legend about a new race called Gestaltcons, if you’ve heard about Minicons, Autobots and Decepticons, you’ll know they are a race of alien robots that can shift to a form and back. They are called Transformers, robots that can think and feel for themselves.

The legend of the Gestaltcons is similar to the Minicon legend, they can combine with a certain Transformer and increase their power to a full maximum, much more powerful than the Minicons themselves.

Gestaltcons can transform into vehicles, but they mainly transform into animals and mythical creatures. There is also tales of three powerful weapons that combine into the most powerful thing in the Universe. It’s not known as to what it is, but some say it has the power to destroy a planet in a single blast.

Gestaltcons are named because only three robots can combine to form a gestalt, in this form they can wield their combiners’ powers and can combine with a certain Autobot or Decepticon to unlock hidden abilities and new weapons.

They say if a faction finds them all and put together in a certain place at a certain time, an amazing thing will happen. It’s not clear what will happen, but it is very amazing and very special. But, if the Decepticons find them all first, terrible things will occur and the Autobots much get them first before things go from bad to worse.

This is the story of a new generation of Transformers. The ones we all know and love are dead, all they’ve left behind are their children that will walk in their footsteps. The Autobots are lead by Optimus Prime’s daughter, Spiritimus Prime, a young femme who is slightly struggling with this whole leadership, but with the help and support of her Autobots, she might just be as great as her father.

The Decepticons are lead by a Triple Changer named Stormcutter, Dark Nemesis’ whereabouts are unknown and it’s a guess that she was killed by the hands of Stormcutter while battling for leadership of the Decepticons. Her body still hasn’t been found by the Autobots, but it’s a possibility that she is long dead.

Let the story unfold and the legend be retold from the beginning.

Chapter 2: Beginning

It is the year 2140, human technology had increased greatly over the years and many years since the Autobots had won the battle for the Cyber Keys. Earth had heard about the death of Optimus Prime and many Autobots they’d come to love so much. Until then, Cybertron had been forgotten over the last 110 years and the human allies had died of old age.

But there were things they’d left behind. They had children, and then they had children until only their great grandchildren lived on with little knowing of the Transformers that become a myth to all human beings. Even Earth had been forgotten by the Transformers, only those had heard about it in their myths remembered that it was a special planet. But Earth is, once again, about to play a role that will change everyone’s lives forever.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

It was the end of the summer holidays for Gropler Town and a girl was walking to school. She was short with long dark brown hair that reached down to touch the bottom of her neck. Her eyes were emerald in colour and her skin was light brown due to her Spanish heritage, she wore a red shirt with black jeans, white socks and grey sneakers.

“Hey Esmeralda Lopez!”

The girl, who’d been addressed as Esmeralda Lopez, looked up and saw a girl with blonde hair, blue eyes and white coloured skin. The girl was three centimetres taller than Esmeralda; she wore a blue shirt with a grey skirt. She wore black school shoes with white socks. Her hair was long that reached down to her shoulder blades and it was up in a pony tail.

“Hey Clarabelle,” Esmeralda greeted back to her friend. Clarabelle caught up with Esmeralda and she stopped to take a breather. As soon as she caught her breath, she pushed her hair back with her right hand and giggled. “You were pretty far ahead,” she joked. “I got up early,” Esmeralda answered. “Guess I shouldn’t have slept in,” Clarabelle laughed.

Esmeralda laughed too before she and her best friend continued on their way to school. They’d decided to walk because of hoping to bump into each other along the way since it was their first day back at school after the summer holidays.

Gropler Town had turned into a city since the day human technology had increased in just a matter of a hundred years. Now that it was a city, it still had the remanding bits of the town long ago. It was only 8:00am and the girls only had half an hour before school started.

They were only half way to the school when something caused them to stop. They turned and saw a boy with reddish brown hair, a black shirt that read: Nasty Man, on the front. He wore grey shorts, red and white sneakers and black socks.

The boy was riding a BMX with a Pegasus on the side with flames behind its head. The boy put his foot on the ground, pulling his BMX to a halt at Esmeralda’s right. The two girls stopped and looked at the boy with slight curiosity in their eyes. The boy took his helmet off and he looked back at the girls. “Hey, been a long time,” he greeted. “Hey Ajax,” Clarabelle responded.

The boy she’d addressed was also the descendant of Alexis, another ally of the Autobots from long ago. His eyes were the same colour as his great grandmother’s but more of a light brown colour. He hopped off his BMX and gave a light wave. “How was your summer?” he asked.

“Fine,” Clarabelle answered. “Been fine as well,” Esmeralda replied. “I was on my way down here when I found this cave not too far from Gropler Town, you girls are welcome to join me after school if you want too,” Ajax said.

Clarabelle and Esmeralda looked at each other. They were a bit unsure if they wanted to explore a cave that was probably unstable, but Ajax was never wrong. Because of his computer-nut side, he was able to hack into systems with ease and check out things happening around the world in a matter of seconds.

Esmeralda had a sense of adventure, she loved to explore places, especially when it involved caves, and this cave should be no different. She turned to Clarabelle. “I think it’s a good idea, it beats better than doing homework,” she whispered. Clarabelle looked worried for a moment, but she nodded in agreement. Esmeralda turned to look back at Ajax. “Okay, we’ll come. We’ll meet each other at the front of the school and we’ll go to this cave you found,” she said. “Cool!” Ajax exclaimed. “Can I walk with you?” he asked before he hopped onto his bike.

“Sure, we’re not far anyway,” Esmeralda answered as Ajax gave a smile and he began to walk his BMX next to Esmeralda on her right, while Clarabelle walked on her left. The three friends reached the school and headed inside.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The end of the day finally arrived and Esmeralda wiped her forehead to clear it of sweat. It had been a long day and it was hot, she opened up her water bottle and drank the clear water that satisfied her parched throat. Wiping her mouth and putting the lid back on, Esmeralda looked up from putting her bottle back into the bag to see Clarabelle walking over to her. “Ready, Belle?” Esmeralda asked, using her friend’s nickname. “Whenever you are Mera,” Clarabelle countered.

Esmeralda looked around and spotted Ajax heading towards them. They smiled at each other before they set off for the cave that Ajax had talked about before school had started.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The trio each had transportations of their own. Ajax had his motor BMX, Esmeralda had a hoverboard and Clarabelle had a hoverscooter. Although they were different, they still had a love for vehicles, despite the changes that had happened during those 110 years since the Transformers arrived long ago. None of them even noticed how the humans got such high-tech gear, but some reckoned it was from an alien race while others believed people just kept on inventing.

Ajax had lead the girls to a huge mountain, it was far from Gropler City and that was fine with them, as long as they got to enjoy themselves and were not disturbed by adults and where no rules applied to them during this little trip.

They soon arrived at the mouth of the cave and they hopped off their transportations. Ajax folded his motor BMX until it was his bag size, he placed it in the bag and brought out a flash light while Esmeralda and Clarabelle also folded their vehicles and placed them in their bags.

Esmeralda pulled out a thick rope and Clarabelle took out her flash-light. “This is exciting!” Ajax almost girl squealed. Esmeralda smiled as she tied the rope to a rock. Clarabelle stood at the mouth of the cave as she and Ajax waited for Esmeralda.

When the elder child was finished tying the rope up, she turned and took her place in the middle of her friends. With an excited grin, they walked inside the dark cave, hardly noticing that this cave will change their lives forever.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

They’d been walking for only fifteen minutes when they came to a crossroad. Esmeralda realised they’d run out of rope. “Looks like we’ll have to go back, we’re out of rope,” she said. Clarabelle looked a little worried. “Not to worry!” Ajax exclaimed as he picked up some rocks and made a flame shape out of it. “What are you doing?” Esmeralda asked.

“Making a mark, that way we’ll know our way back,” Ajax answered. “Clever of you,” Clarabelle muttered sarcastically. Esmeralda elbowed her in the ribs. “Be glad he’s our friend, Belle,” she hissed. Clarabelle rolled her eyes in the darkness when her flash-light was not near her face.

Ajax shrugged and he motioned them to go to the left and the girls followed him once again.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ten minutes later and they stopped to take a break. Esmeralda took out her water and sipped it, she then handed it to Clarabelle and she handed it to Ajax. “No thanks, I’ve got strawberry coke,” he said as he took his backpack off and pulled out a coke that contained a teaspoon of strawberry. “Up to you, A.J,” Esmeralda said as she took another gulp of her water when Clarabelle handed it back to her.

“Is anyone hungry?” Clarabelle asked as she took out some biscuits that were covered in sugar. “Sure am,” Ajax happily answered as Clarabelle opened the packet and handed him two biscuits. Esmeralda shook her hand. “Nah, I’m on a diet,” she answered. Clarabelle shrugged and took out two biscuits for herself.

Esmeralda took out a banana and peeled the skin. She put the skin back in her lunch box and happily ate it. Fruit and Vegetables had become medicine during the years, not only did they stop you from getting cancer, but they also stopped other diseases (not in real life).

As soon as the trio had finished their snacks, they continued on their way until they stopped once more when Clarabelle stopped and bent down to examine her foot. “You okay?” Esmeralda asked. “Just a rock that got caught in my shoe,” Clarabelle answered as she pulled a small rock out that was the size of her pinkie fingernail.

As soon as she stood back up, the ground beneath them began to shake and it tilted from the heavy weight of Esmeralda and Ajax because they were standing on one end. Clarabelle gave a scream and she slid down towards them. The rock was tilted so far back, that the kids all fell down the hole and the rock was back where it belonged, like as if nothing had happened.

Esmeralda fell on her stomach, Ajax landed on top of her and Clarabelle fell on his back and a slight crack was heard. Clarabelle gave a squeal of pain and Esmeralda reacted immediately, she stood up and pulled out a knife that was hidden under her wrist and Ajax gasped when the knife popped out from under wrist.

Seeing no danger, Esmeralda turned and saw Clarabelle clutching her ankle that was twisted in an odd way. She rushed over and kneeled down beside her young friend. “Are you okay?” she asked. Clarabelle looked up at Esmeralda and the elder child saw the pain in her dark blue eyes.

Getting the message that Clarabelle’s ankle might be broken or twisted; Esmeralda pulled out her backpack and took out a First Aid kit. Ajax held onto Clarabelle’s hand and she squeezed his extremely tightly.

Esmeralda took out a knife that could cut through leather or any other material that applied to a shoe. Gently, she started cutting the shoe up, Clarabelle winced when the knife gently touched her skin. Esmeralda stopped and gently rubbed Clarabelle’s leg, she then returned to cutting while Ajax continued to reassure the young girl by gently rubbing her hair.

Finally, Esmeralda removed the knife and slowly took the shoe off. Clarabelle bit back a whimper but she couldn’t help it and Esmeralda heard her. She stopped and cut the shoe all around until it was wide enough for her to remove it without causing any discomfort to Clarabelle.

Clarabelle sighed in relief when the shoe was finally removed, Esmeralda also took the sock off to reveal Clarabelle’s swollen ankle. It was purple and about the size of a tennis ball. Esmeralda searched through the kit until she pulled out a small bottle that read: Vinegar: Quick Healing for Sprained or Broken Bones.

Putting the bottle to her mouth, her teeth clenched around the top and she pulled it off with force. She then put a few drops on the swelled ankle and Clarabelle screamed in pain. Ajax allowed her to squeeze his hand as tears poured from Belle’s eyes. The swelling went down to half of its tennis ball size, but the horrible purple colour remained there.

Esmeralda took out a bandage that was covered in gel, she wrapped it tightly around the ankle and Clarabelle winced again. As soon as the bandage was on, it hardened and Clarabelle relaxed. “Guess those gelled bandages came in handy after all,” Esmeralda joked. Ajax and Clarabelle laughed at her joke and they knew she was just keeping their spirits up.

“I reckon we should go back,” Ajax said, his confidence had slipped since their fall and Esmeralda knew it was time for her to take charge. “Can you stand?” she asked Clarabelle. The younger child shook her head. “I thought not,” Esmeralda said and she kneeled in front of Clarabelle.

Getting the message, Clarabelle slowly moved forward and wrapped her arms around Esmeralda’s neck and her legs around the elder child’s hips. Standing up slowly, Esmeralda gave a little shake to make herself more comfortable with the extra weight on her back and hips. At least Clarabelle didn’t weigh very much.

Ajax looked up towards the rock that had caused them to fall down to the next level of underground. He turned and packed the First Aid kit into Esmeralda’s backpack and he placed it in his backpack that was big enough to hold two in one. He looked around as Esmeralda turned her head to look behind her to ensure that Clarabelle was comfortable.

“We should go this way, we might be able to find a way back up,” Ajax said. Esmeralda looked over Clarabelle’s head and saw a dead end behind her. “Yeah,” she agreed and Ajax lead the way, it was best if he walked ahead because he was holding a flash-light and Esmeralda didn’t have any hands at this moment because they were holding Clarabelle’s legs to ensure they stayed wrapped around her hips.

With a sigh, Esmeralda followed Ajax and they began their walk, back to the entrance.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

They’d been walking for several minutes when they came to a chamber that was the size of a basketball court. The walls of the chamber were not rock, but having hints of ancient machinery and computers. This was not a chamber, but a room that must be part of something.

Esmeralda slowly set Clarabelle on the ground and she gave Ajax a hard stare. “Stay here, I’m going to scope it out,” she said and she placed a hand on Clarabelle. “I’ll be right back,” she whispered gently and Clarabelle nodded as she handed Esmeralda her flash-light.

Cautiously, Esmeralda walked through the room until she spotted a glowing pale yellow object. Slowly, she jogged over towards the object and she saw it was diamond shaped panel with a dragon head in the middle. It looked almost radioactive and she felt something jolt inside her, the need to pick it up was extremely strong. Gently, her fingers touched the glowing panel and the glowing increased as she plucked the panel from the ancient ground.

Suddenly everything around her glowed as the ancient machines and computers flared into life. The scream of Clarabelle and the shout of Ajax caused Esmeralda to jump and, clutching the diamond panel close to her chest, she rushed towards them. “Let’s get out of here!” she cried when she neared them.

The ground began to shake and Esmeralda stuffed the panel into her backpack that was safely in Ajax’s and, swiftly, she picked Clarabelle up and the trio rushed out of the room. The machines and computers were beeping at an incredible speed and a huge white light engulfed them for two minutes.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Outside, three lights shot out of the area where the room was located and was shot into the sky. The left one was a royal red, the right one was an ugly purple and the middle was pale blue.

The red and purple lights shot into space while the blue one sailed to the moon, causing an aged object to also glow the same colour as the blue light that had caused it to ‘reactivate’.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The royal red and the ugly purple colours travelled at incredible speed until they reached a metal planet. Red and purple energy blasts shot at their owners as two gigantic robotic armies fought with deadly force.

In the sky, the red light shot into a tall building that stood tall and proud with golden features and a red robotic faction symbol stood on the top. Underneath the symbol were three simple words that meant everything to the faction: Truth Justice Freedom.

The alarms from within the building flared into life and a pale blue, dark blue and silver robot rushed into the room, its body features were female and it had bat wings that were folded neatly against each other, the claws in the middle of the wings were met together, holding the wings in place while not in use. Her face was grey with golden eyes and bits of pale blue covered her nose and chin and it looked like a mask would pop out from the chin bit to cover her mouth and meet up with the nose covering. A reptilian head was located on her chest and the same red symbol was located on its forehead, her hands and feet were armed with dark blue claws that were lifted off the ground to keep them sharp for combat.

“What is it, Razorwind?” she asked in a light voice. A female with bird wings, a horse head on her chest, hooves underneath her wrists and hooves as her feet, turned and looked at the dark blue robot. “It’s the Gestaltcons, they’ve been reactivated, ma’am,” she answered. “I’ll dispatch a team ASAP. Rápido, I and you will head there at once, I’ll be leaving Starblaze in charge,” the dark blue robot answered.

Razorwind nodded as a flamed and black mech appeared and the trio headed off to the Space Bridge. The flamed mech leapt in first and Razorwind followed behind him. The dark blue female was about to leap in when a taloned hand stopped her, she turned and looked at the one who’d touched her. “Come back soon, old friend,” the taloned hand’s owner said. “We will, old friend,” the dark blue female said and she leapt into the Space Bridge.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The ugly purple light had also struck a rusted building. It was completely ugly, old and rusted from its age; it had been there a long time, much longer than the ones who’d seen it after its glorious days. The place also lit up with alarms and four robots were instantly dispatched through the Space Bridge that was also an ugly purple with little life in it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Back on Earth, the lights had died down and Esmeralda and her two friends had reached the area they’d fallen down. To their surprise, the rock, that had caused them to down, was tilted down again, but it barely slid down, allowing the kids to climb up it safely without hurting themselves.

Esmeralda turned to Ajax. “Climb up that rock, once you reach the top, I’ll hand you Belle,” she ordered. Ajax nodded and he slowly climbed up the rock. When he reached the top, he offered his hand to Clarabelle as Esmeralda gently pushed her towards the boy.

Ajax took Clarabelle’s outstretched hand and pulled her up. Esmeralda climbed up behind her and Ajax helped her up. He helped put Clarabelle back on her back and he put the backpack back on. The three then raced off back towards the entrance until they returned to the crossroad in a matter of five minutes instead of fifteen. It took them another five minutes to reach the entrance and they gasped for a breath.

Esmeralda gently placed Clarabelle down on the ground and checked her ankle. The bandage had come off once the vinegar had taken care of the injury. “Can you walk?” she asked Clarabelle. The young girl nodded and stood up in an instant, she stumbled a little before she was able to walk normally.

Esmeralda nodded as Ajax handed her backpack to her and she too the diamond panel out of it. “We should get out of here, that tremor could start again,” she said. They nodded in agreement and rushed off to get back to the city when a purple glow caused them to stop them in their tracks. “Now what is it?” Clarabelle asked sombrely.

“I have no idea, but we better run for it,” Esmeralda said as she turned but she bumped into a gigantic metal object. The panel fell from her hands and she rubbed her jaw. “Are you okay?” Ajax asked as he rushed up to her side. “Yeah,” Esmeralda answered and she picked the panel up, she felt her spine tingle and she looked up, only to see a horrifying looking robot with a purple symbol on its chest.

The robot was black and purple; it had plane wings on its shoulders with hints of a car form. Its head had a black crest on its forehead that was shaped like a ‘V’. Its eyes were blood red that glinted with evilness.

Esmeralda took a nervous step back, clutching the panel close to her chest. She felt a great desire to protect it from this evil creature and an even greater desire to make a run for it. She took another step back when a rock made a cluttering sound and the robot turned to look down at her. Its red eyes gleaming into her very soul and striking it with its evilness.

Suddenly, the panel glowed even brighter and it was pulled out of Esmeralda’s arms, it hovered in mid-air and started to take shape, forming a smaller robot that was brown and yellow. Its eyes were pale blue and it had wings that sat behind its shoulders. On its left shoulder was the same dragon head symbol that was on the panel. The robot turned and looked at Esmeralda and it spoke in pure English. “You’re partner?” it asked in a male voice.

“Your partner?” Esmeralda asked in confusion as she pointed to herself. The robot nodded and an orange beam of light shot out of its forehead and it touched a griffon on Esmeralda’s shirt.

The robot’s features changed. His hands became equipped with talons and the wings changed to bird wings, the eagle head appeared behind his head and it looked like it folded over the original head like a hood. His backside was fitted with a lion tail, the tuff was shaped like a rudder to help steer the robot during flight and its feet became paws. In an instant, it changed into a griffon.

Esmeralda and the other kids gasped. The larger robot looked a little disappointed, but a smirk then followed. The mechanical griffon turned his bird head to Esmeralda and motioned her to his back. “Um… okay,” she said and climbed onto his back. “Come on,” she said as she helped Clarabelle and Ajax on.

The griffon spread his wings and took off at a run, because of having three passengers on his back, he couldn’t fly, but he could still run very fast. As he ran, Esmeralda looked back and saw the robot was after them, its hand was clutched into a fist and she gasped when saw a human size rock. In a swift movement, the robot flung its arm and the rock smashed right in front of them, causing all four of them to fall down and gasp at the gigantic robot. “Give me that robot,” the large robot said in a deep male voice.

“What are you talking about?” Esmeralda asked, her tone was getting low with anger. She stood up tall and faced the robot, her emerald eyes showed her protectiveness and her determination to protect her friends and the robot. “Give me that robot,” the giant repeated. Esmeralda growled and the knife, which was hidden in her wrist, reappeared as the robot’s black hand reached down towards her. She prepared to slash it when a shadow blocked out the sun.

“Back off, Stormcutter!” a light female voice growled.

The robot, which’d been addressed as Stormcutter, looked up and growled in anger. Esmeralda, Clarabelle and Ajax looked up and saw a tall pale, dark blue, and silver robot with bat wings, a reptilian head on its chest with a red symbol on its forehead, clawed hands and feet, with a thin tail with an arrow shaped head on its tip. The robot’s face was grey with golden eyes, a pale blue face-plate that covered its chin and nose, and a pale blue crest on its forehead with two dark blue sharp points poking on each side of the pale blue crest.

“Spiritimus Prime!” Stormcutter snarled. “Spiritimus who?” the kids asked at the same time. The two robots stared at each other for a moment before the blue robot made her move by moving to the right with incredible grace and agility.

Stormcutter followed in the opposite direction and then charged straight towards ‘Spiritimus Prime’. Spiritimus lunged forward as well and their hands collided as spark flew as they met. Each robot putting massive force by digging their feet into the ground, Spiritimus Prime was smaller than Stormcutter, they were evenly matched and it looked like this might end in a draw.

The children looked onwards in fear, hoping that this ‘Spiritimus Prime’ would win. “I guess this is my entire fault,” Ajax mumbled.

Chapter 3: Hostility

The two giant robots clashed with such force, Spiritimus Prime tackled Stormcutter and she leapt into the air, just barely being grabbed as Stormcutter reached for her delicate wings. In a swift movement and with incredible grace, she transformed into a creature that all humans thought were nothing but myths, legends and stories. She’d become a dragon!

Swinging her graceful neck, her jaws clamped down on Stormcutter’s arm that had just missed her wing. Stormcutter gave a cry of pain as the pearly teeth dug into his arm and pulled a chunk of metal out with little force. Sparks danced from his injury and his hand lunged for her neck, Spiritimus screamed and her talons flailed as they scratched at his armour with lightning speed.

Esmeralda, Ajax and Clarabelle, looked onwards while the two giants clashed. Panic finally seized them and Esmeralda felt it. She turned and looked at them. “Let’s make a run for it, now!” she ordered over the banging. Clarabelle and Ajax nodded as Esmeralda turned to the little robot. “Come on!” she yelled at him. He nodded as he and the other kids followed after her until they saw the same purple glow that brought Stormcutter.

They halted and watched horrified as a red and silver mech appeared, its eyes were orange and its head was black, it also had red and silver wings. It landed with a hard thud on the ground and looked down at them with a direct coldness that sent chills down their spines.

Another glow appeared next to the mech and another robot appeared. This one was the same height and design as the red and silver mech, but it was black and silver, its eyes were blood red, his face was light grey, making it look silver in the sunlight. His head was dark grey while his neck was silver, but its wings were completely black with the purple symbol on each one, including its forearms.

The red and silver mech was about to bend down and pick up Esmeralda when a red warm light stopped it and it looked up in surprise. Appearing from the light was a black mech with flames on its arms and back. Its face was dark grey and its eyes were dark blue, its head was black that had red stripes on the sides. Its forearms, shoulders, hips, lower legs and the doors that were on the outside of his forearms, were jet black. The thighs and upper arms were light blue with red stripes. The tyres on its forearms and lower legs were also jet black with golden insides.

The black and silver robot was about to lunge forward when another light appeared next to the black mech with the flames. Another robot appeared with bird wings behind its shoulders, a horse head on its chest with a red symbol on its forehead, the front legs of the horse were folded behind its shoulders. The mane was behind its neck, a sign that the head would fold up inside while the head and neck of the horse would fold up, sealing the original head inside while in its strange form. Its legs were the legs of the horse and it walked on normal feet, the hooves were behind the ankles, a sign that they folded over the feet. A flowing aluminium tail was attached to its behind.

The four robots stared at each other, two had the desire to protect the children, the other two held the need to crush the humans and get what they desired the most. Taking this opportunity while the four robots were distracted, Esmeralda grabbed the little robotic griffon’s wing and began to pull him away from the battle.

Ajax and Clarabelle followed behind her but the black and silver robot had seen the movement. He lifted an arm and it flew towards Esmeralda. She was about to use her knife on him when the black mech grabbed his arm and flung him over his shoulder with lightning speed.

Esmeralda shielded the griffon robot and she looked up to see her saviour, the black mech looked down at her with his blue eyes and he rushed towards the black and silver mech, shoving him even further from her and the robotic griffon. Esmeralda got the message and she turned to her friends. “Head back to the cave!” she cried.

They nodded and followed her towards the cave that might provide shelter and protection from this strange showdown that Earth had seen long ago.

The red and silver mech had seen them move and was about to go for the kill when the silver and pale blue robot lunged forward and elbowed him in the head, almost winding him, the robot kicked him in the left hip and he stumbled from the attack.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spiritimus Prime and Stormcutter were still at each other’s necks when Stormcutter looked back at his men, he’d heard the grunting of the red and silver mech and he shook his head in annoyance. “Idiot,” he grumbled. He’d taken his blood red optics off his opponent and this gave her the opportunity to put all her weight into this tackle.

Lunging forward, her talons forced Stormcutter to look at her as he landed, back first, on the ground and her golden eyes glowed with hatred. “Give up!” she snarled. “For now, Prime,” he growled and he warped out from underneath her.

When he’d vanished, the black and silver mech and the red and silver mech, followed right behind him, leaving their opponents standing there in confusion. The black mech with the flames on him turned and looked around. He turned back to his partner. “Where are they?” he asked. The pale blue and silver one shrugged and they turned as they saw Spiritimus standing up. “Autobots! Front and centre!” she ordered.

The black mech and the pale blue and silver one rushed over to their commander. “You alright, ma’am?” the black mech asked in a Spanish accent. Spiritimus nodded as she turned to face her soldiers. “Where’d the humans go?” she asked.

“I think they went back inside the cave,” the pale blue and silver mech answered in a feminie voice. “It’s possible,” the black mech answered. “Maybe,” Spiritimus said. “What about the Decepticons?” the black mech asked. “We’ll worry about them later. We’ll need to get to the Gestaltcons first before they do,” Spiritimus answered. “Rápido, go find an alt mode to your liking, but don’t be gone long. Razorwind and I will be around looking for the children or the Decepticons,” she ordered.

The black mech, who she’d addressed as Rápido, nodded and rushed off while the femme, whom she’d addressed as Razorwind, transformed into her Pegasus form and they split up in search of the Gestaltcons, the humans or the Decepticons.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Esmeralda, Ajax and Clarabelle looked around as they sat down on the cold floor of the cave. Esmeralda looked around as she stood up. She let out a sigh when she heard the sounds of the battle die down and she turned to the robot, who was watching her with his pale blue eyes. “Okay, you know something that we don’t. Who are you?” she asked.

The griffon seemed to smile with his beak and tilted his head to the side. “I have no name and I cannot tell you what’s going on, but I can show you,” he answered. She nodded and turned to look at her friends. “You guys got your breath back?” she asked. They nodded and stood up. She turned back to the robot. “Show us the way,” she said. The robot nodded and he held out his tail rudder. “Hold this, you don’t want to get lost in here,” he said.

Esmeralda nodded and she gently gripped his tail while Ajax and Clarabelle grip her shirt, keeping close to the griffon robot. They finally come to a dead end with hints of metal. Behind them, metal doors close behind them and the kids give a look of shock, but the look on the griffon’s face was cool, calm, and collected.

Ajax looked at the robot. “It’s a ship, isn’t?” he asked. “Now you’re catching on,” the griffon answered with a smile as they felt the lift go downwards. “How’d you know?” Clarabelle asked Ajax. “Computer geek, remember?” he answered as he tapped his head. Esmeralda laughed and the doors opened to reveal a clean room with high-tech gear, machines and computers.

They stepped through the doors of the lift and looked around the large room. “I think I get it now,” Esmeralda said as she took a step forward. “This little robot came from out of space, maybe to escape those bigger ones.” “Are you sure?” Clarabelle answered. “That’s my only guess,” Esmeralda answered.

The elder child walked towards the middle of the room and pressed a button. “Maybe we can find info on what we saw today,” she said and a hologram of the black and purple robot appeared. Clarabelle winced when she saw him. “It’s just a hologram,” Ajax said gently. Clarabelle caught her breath and nodded. “So who is that?” she asked.

“That’s… Stormcutter, it says here that he’s the leader of the Decepticons,” Esmeralda answered. She pressed another button and the same pale blue, dark blue and silver robot appeared. “That Stormcutter guy called that one Spiritimus Prime,” Ajax said. Esmeralda nodded. “It says that she’s the daughter of Optimus Prime and is the leader of the Autobots,” she said. “Autobots? Optimus Prime?” Clarabelle answered. Esmeralda looked surprised and typed in Optimus Prime.

A hologram of a red, blue and silver mech appeared. He was almost identical to Spiritimus Prime, but he had no signs of a dragon as his alt form. Just hints of a fire truck with the windows on his chest to prove that. His eyes were golden like Spiritimus’ and he had the same face-plate design as her. Although the head design was a little different, it was clear that they were really related.

“It says that he was KIA (killed in action) during a battle when Spiritimus was very young, he handed down the Matrix of Leadership to her when she was a teenager and she’s been the leader for the past one hundred and ten years,” Esmeralda explained. “What about the Autobots,” Ajax reminded her.

Esmeralda nodded and looked at the profile on the Autobots. “It says that the Autobots are a peaceful faction, fighting for freedom and peace as they go along, bringing harmony to everyone,” she explained. Ajax looked at the red symbol on Spiritimus’ chest and on Optimus’ shoulder. “I get the feeling that Spiritimus and Optimus were extremely close,” he said as he looked at his friends.

“Extremely close,” Esmeralda answered and she shook her head sadly. Clarabelle looked at Esmeralda closely and saw the sadness on her face, but didn’t press it. Suddenly, the griffon robot looked about frantically and started running around, screeching and giving little roars.

“What’s with him?!” Ajax exclaimed. “No idea,” Esmeralda answered as the griffon sighed and turned to look at them, he then pointed with a talon and the wall behind them opened to reveal two diamond panels. One was brown, while the other was red. They also had the robotic dragon symbols on them. Clarabelle and Ajax looked at each other. “Of course,” Clarabelle whispered as she gently touched the brown panel and it glowed to reveal another robot that was brown, grey and silver.

Ajax then touched the red panel and it also revealed a red and yellow robot. Clarabelle took out a picture of a hippogriff and the brown, grey, and silver robot scanned the image, growing bird wings, and taloned feet, folded up hoofs (legs) on its shoulders, horse tail on its back and the bird head under its belly.

Ajax revealed the Pegasus on is BMX, the red and yellow robot scanned it and it became the same design as the pale blue and silver robot, but the wings were flamed, along with the mane and tail. “Let’s go outside and give these guys fresh air, I’m sure they’d want to see what Earth looks like,” Esmeralda suggested.

Clarabelle and Ajax nodded in agreement with smiles on their faces. “I’ll name my partner Icarus,” Ajax said as he gently petted the Pegasus’ flamed head. “I’ll name mine Seidenfuss,” Clarabelle exclaimed and hugged the hippogriff’s neck, who gave a puzzled look. “Then I’ll name mine Leogriff,” Esmeralda whispered and she petted the griffon’s neck.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

When the friends and the little robots poked their heads from the cave’s entrance, they saw no sign of the Autobots or Decepticons. “Maybe they couldn’t find us and went home,” Ajax lightly joked. “I hardly doubt that, they were looking for our partners and they’re determined to get them,” Esmeralda hissed. “But what if the Autobots are trying to protect them and us?” Clarabelle asked in a whisper. “Maybe, but we’ll never know. Come on, let’s go for a fly,” Esmeralda said as she climbed onto Leogriff’s back, placing her legs behind his wing joints to allow free movement.

Ajax shrugged and he climbed onto Icarus’ back, careful of its flaming mane, but when he touched it, he didn’t get burnt. “Sweet!” he exclaimed. Icarus gave a snort and pawed the ground impatiently, its flaming fetlocks releasing bits of tiny flames.

Clarabelle climbed on Seidenfuss’, careful not make it uncomfortable. Esmeralda gave a light kick on the side of Leogriff’s mid-section. Spreading his wings, the griffon took off into the air with the other two following, trying to keep him in their sights.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

They flew in the mountains, whooping in joy as their partners back flipped and front flipped in the sky, doing acrobatic actions and roaring, neighing and screeching in joy. They’d only been at this game when two jets shot above their heads, breaking the sound barrier and flying incredibly close.

That’s no ordinary jet, Esmeralda thought and she spotted a SR-71 Blackbird, those types of jets were so fast, that no one was able to break their world record of reaching Mach 3, not a single flight craft could ever beat it. She looked closely and saw those two jets that had shot above their heads.

They were remodified Sukhoi Su-35s, capable of reaching Mach 2, but their colours is what frightened her the most. It was those mechs, the black and silver one, and the red and silver one as well. “Leogriff, if you could reach above Mach 3, now would be a good time,” she yelled above the wind. “Sorry, I can only go Mach 1,” Leogriff answered. “Doesn’t matter, dive, dive!” Esmeralda screamed.

Folding his wings close to his body, Leogriff dived with Icarus and Seidenfuss following behind his tail but the Blackbird and the two Su-35s followed in suit. “Mera, look out!” Clarabelle screamed.

Esmeralda turned her head and she gasped when she spotted another vehicle, only this one looked like a Missile Tank (think Cybertron Red Alert when he got his upgrade), it had a massive cannon on its back, its sides opened up to reveal hidden missiles and it fired with deadly accuracy.

Esmeralda leaned her weight to the right and Leogriff moved with her, just barely dodging the missiles as they missed her friends. The Blackbird and the Su-35s banked in different directions, just barely being hit by the missiles.

Esmeralda made a motion with her hand, Ajax and Clarabelle got the message and they flew into the forest with Esmeralda/Leogriff following right behind them to ensure they get in safely.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The three robots and humans peered through the leaves as the jets and missile tank thundered by. “Come on, while they’re gone,” Esmeralda said and they followed her out of the forest when the jets and tank returned. “Run for it!” she screamed.

They climbed onto their partners’ backs and they ran for their lives, but the tank veered to their right, blocking their escape. They turned to the left, but were blocked by the black and silver Su-35. Trying to go forwards, it was once again blocked by the red and silver one. Going backwards, they found it was blocked by a Bugatti Veyron, a guess that the Blackbird had shifted to that car form.

Esmeralda had no choice but to scream, and scream she did. For the first time in her life, she was afraid, afraid for her friends and her partner. She closed her eyes and prepared for the end. Suddenly a roar sounded around them and something bashed into the Veyron, causing it veer off course and it slammed into a huge rock.

The three vehicles shifted to their robot forms, wondering who it was that caused their leader to get hit like that.

Crouched head first into the Veyron’s side was the pale blue, dark blue and silver robotic dragon. She pulled her head free from the dent that she’d made in its side and she quickly trudged over to the children and the little robots. She lowered her body until it her body levelled with the children; she lowered her wings and turned her head to look at them, her fierce golden eyes looking into their souls. “Get on!”

The children looked confused, whether or not to trust her, but Clarabelle moved forward at once. “Come on!” she said as she climbed onto the dragon’s back by stepping carefully on its forearm. Seidenfuss climbed on after her after when it transformed to robot mode.

“Wait!” Esmeralda cried, but she stopped when she and Ajax heard a loud thud and they turned slowly and saw the missile tank Transformer, who was silver and black, its head had two identical pipes on the sides (think like Armada Super Optimus) and had a silver face with green eyes that glowed with a deep coldness and a hatred towards life. The cannon was located on its back that looked like, when in use, it switched onto its right shoulder to be used with incredible power.

When they saw the robot, they ran for it and climbed onto the dragon’s back, careful of the dark blue spikes on her shoulders. Turning swiftly, the dragon spread her wings and leapt into the skies. She hardly spoke a word as they flew for five minutes, she landed with a gentle thud and she lowered her body, a sign that the children are meant to hop off.

They obeyed and watched as the dragon stood on her back legs, the front legs formed arms and the dragon head shifted to the chest, the real head appeared and a pale blue mask covered her mouth, protecting her jaw and any other vulnerable spots on her face. She got her body into an open stance and her tail laid itself in front of the children and the little robots.

A flap of metal wing caused the children and the female to look up and they spotted a robotic Pegasus heading straight towards them. Landing on the right of the dark blue, pale blue and silver female, it transformed into the same form that the kids had seen before.

Esmeralda smiled and she heard an engine of a familiar car, she’d heard about a particular car, and this one was her top favourite. A Koenigsegg CCX. It was black with flames on its bonnet, side doors and underneath its head lights.

In a swift movement, the bonnet and doors split apart to reveal arms, the back of the car straightened to reveal legs and the nitros pulled out to reveal feet. They spread out to support the weight as the arms levelled themselves with the body and the hands balled into black fists. The head was facing backwards, so it swivelled around until it was facing forwards. Turning to look at the children, it gave the thumbs up with a smile.

Esmeralda felt relief pulsing through her body and she looked in the distance to see the four Decepticons heading straight towards them. “Ready brave warriors?” the female dragon (that Esmeralda guessed was Spiritimus) asked. “Ready ma’am!” the two robots replied as they prepared to fight their arch enemies.

Chapter 4: Conflict

The four Decepticons had stopped two hundred metres away from the Autobots. The Autobots maybe out-numbered, but they could still fight, depending on teamwork and friendship that they’d relied on for so many years since Optimus Prime had lead them.

The Veyron transformed to form Stormcutter, his blood red optics stared into the golden ones of his arch nemesis, Spiritimus Prime. The female leader lifted a taloned finger and she spoke in a clear voice that held strength and confidence. “Leave these humans out of this, Stormcutter! Or face my fiery breath!” she snarled.

Stormcutter waved a hand as the two jets and the missile tank transformed and landed on each side of him. “Don’t play petty with me, Spiritimus Prime. I’ll crush those humans and take what is rightfully mine!” Stormcutter hissed back as he took one of his wings off and it formed into a cannon, he pointed it down at the human children and fired.

As swift as an arrow, Spiritimus lifted a wing and shielded the humans and the little robots. She winced as she absorbed the blast and Esmeralda looked concerned at the female. Shaking the pain off, Spiritimus looked down at the children, her gaze was gentle, but firm. “Run for it now,” she whispered to them.

Nodding, Esmeralda pushed Clarabelle, Ajax and the little robots towards a pile of rocks and she followed in suit to ensure they got there first.

Spiritimus lifted her wing and she returned to her open stance. “I’ve warned you Stormcutter, this will be the last time that you ever harm these children,” she hissed as she spread her wings, like as if she was trying to form a shield around her Autobots and the children.

Stormcutter laughed evilly and he turned to the black and silver mech. “Blackfire, take to the skies,” he ordered. The mech, he’d addressed as Blackfire, nodded and transformed to his jet form. Stormcutter then motioned the red and silver mech, he nodded and he too transformed to his jet mode and followed behind Blackfire.

The two jets fired on Spiritimus and she, Razorwind and Rápido spread out, trying to keep the energy blasts away from the children. Rápido took out his plasma pistol out and fired at the red and silver jet. “Shoo, Starscream, don’t bother me!” he joked as the shot hit the jet and he was forced to transform back into robot mode, landing painfully on his back. “Cocky kid,” the jet, Rápido addressed as Starscream, hissed and he took out his wing saber and flung it like a boomerang (yup Armada Screamer is back).

The wing saber caused Rápido’s hand to fly upwards and he was forced to let go of his plasma pistol. It sailed above his head and landed with a thud on the ground. He tried to make a grab for it when a red and silver foot stamped down on his hand, causing him to wince in pain. He looked up into the cold orange optics of his opponent as his plasma pistol’s barrel was crushed by the seeker Decepticon. “You’re just as cocky as ever, Rápido,” Starscream rasped.

Rápido grinned as he used his free hand to punch Starscream in the ankle and the Decepticon was forced to lift his foot up and Rápido rolled away, taking out his grenade launcher and he pointed it at Starscream’s head.

Spiritimus had charged forward to meet Stormcutter, but Blackfire had dived down on her, she growled but ignored him. He swooped down on her again and her tail wrapped around his nose cone and flung him away, forcing him to crash into the back of his ally, Rapidfire.

Rapidfire, who’d been facing Razorwind, felt a huge force on his back and he collapsed on his hands and knees. Blackfire picked himself up and he growled down at Rapidfire. The missile tank Decepticon shoved him away and he returned to Razorwind, who’d taken to the skies and had taken her mane off, she dived down toward Rapidfire and prepared to slice him when he’d dodged the attack, much to her surprise.

Rapidfire pointed his cannon at her side and prepared to fire when a light, but strong body crashed into him with incredible force. Growling, he turned, only to come face to face with a dark blue and pale blue fist. He stumbled back from the force as Spiritimus lifted her tail and whacked him in the face with the blunt end of the arrow tip of her tail just hitting the side of his face.

Razorwind nodded her thanks as Spiritimus returned to face Stormcutter. She didn’t have much of a sense of humour, but she tried to crack a joke. “Take your toys back, Stormcutter,” she smirked. Stormcutter looked enraged and he charged towards the female commander with incredible speed, but it didn’t take her by surprise.

She charged forward and her hands met with her opponent’s. They were locked in a battle of strength, to see who would back off or start to weaken. Their eyes never lead astray from each other, they squinted with hints of anger and hatred directed right at each other until Stormcutter backed off and pointed his wing saber cannon at his enemy.

But instead of shooting it at her, he fired at the mountain and a landslide started. In quick thinking, Rápido rushed forward and picked the humans and the Gestaltcons in his arms, shielding them from the landslide, but he was also covered by the dirt.

Spiritimus shifted her concern to Rápido. “Rápido, are you alright?” she called. Razorwind had flown in and had uncovered the black racer. “He’s okay,” she replied to the concern Autobot leader. Rápido smiled and removed his arm that covered the humans and Gestaltcons. “There’s not a scratch on them, ma’am,” he said.

Spiritimus gave a sigh of relief and she returned to battling Stormcutter. Rápido placed the children back down when Clarabelle pointed to something that the blast had uncovered. Three glowing panels inside a small cave gave a sign that more Gestaltcons had been uncovered.

“Let’s check it out,” Rápido suggested and he and the children approached the cave. He placed the children in front of the cave’s entrance and he waited while they went inside to take a look. Esmeralda pulled a blue one out, Ajax uncovered a black one and Clarabelle removed a grey one from the wall. “We’ve got them,” Esmeralda called.

Rápido nodded and he was about to get them out when Blackfire appeared and shot him in the back. Rápido fell onto his stomach while the kids screamed and tried to make a run for it. Luckily for them, Blackfire had the one that Ajax had hold of. He’d hardly noticed the other two, much to the kids’ relief.

Rápido managed to get up just as Blackfire warped away. He was in a bowed position and he was rubbing his injured back. Familiar foot-steps echoed around him and he looked up to see Spiritimus and Razorwind. “I’m sorry,” he whispered. Spiritimus smiled as her face-plate retracted to reveal her face. “You didn’t fail, Rápido,” she said gently as she placed a taloned hand on his shoulder.

“Yeah, we’ve still got the other two,” Esmeralda encouraged as she held up the blue one, while Clarabelle held up the grey one. “You see? Not all were taken away,” Spiritimus said as she gently squeezed his shoulder. “But Blackfire got the other one,” Rápido said as he stood up. “Don’t worry, we’ll win it back. Somehow,” Razorwind said.

“Gee, aren’t you a ray of sunshine,” Rápido said sarcastically.

Spiritimus laughed and she turned to look down at the humans. “We should get back to the ship, you know the way, right?” she asked. Esmeralda smiled. “Yes,” she answered as she climbed onto Leogriff’s back, Clarabelle and Ajax also climbed onto their partners’ backs and, with Spiritimus in the lead, headed back to the ship where this whole little war had started.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

“They must have a base somewhere near here,” Razorwind said. “They must be on the moon, because we can’t find them anywhere on Earth,” Rápido said as he folded his arms across his chest.

“It’s a possibility, but we know that Stormcutter will be back,” Spiritimus said and she looked at the humans who stood on a balcony that was the same height as her. “We don’t mean to sound rude or anything, but what are these little robots and what are you?” Clarabelle asked.

“I apologise. Those little robots that are your partners, are called Gestaltcons,” Spiritimus explained. “Gestaltcons?” Ajax asked. “Gestaltcons are named because they are capable of forming into a bigger robot. Only three can form into a more powerful version,” Spiritimus explained.

“But why are you after them?” Esmeralda asked. “It’s mostly the Decepticons that want them, not us. They want them for a single purpose that will endanger the entire Universe. When all Gestaltcons are found, they are taken to a certain place at a certain time. When that happens, an amazing thing will happen, but we don’t know what will happen if the Decepticons get them first, but we have the feeling that it can’t be good,” Spiritimus answered.

Esmeralda then spoke up, “Don’t the Gestaltcons do something else?” she asked. “Unfortunately, they do,” Spiritimus answered. “When all three combine into their Gestalt form, they can combine with a certain Transformer and activate new abilities. A single one can only increase a weapon by making it stronger,” she explained.

“But if the Decepticons want them, don’t you want them too?” Ajax asked. “Yes, but we treat them as friends and equals. But the Decepticons treat them as slaves and tools, caring for nothing about them,” Spiritimus answered.

Esmeralda, Ajax and Clarabelle looked at each other, and then back at Spiritimus Prime. “This was all my fault,” Esmeralda sighed. “What do you mean?” Spiritimus asked. “I activated that panel and it brought you guys here. I guess Earth’s got involved in a war,” Esmeralda answered. Spiritimus shook her head. “You’re wrong.”

The kids looked up at her in surprise. “Don’t blame yourself. We’d been waiting for a long time for the Gestaltcons to be reactivated. The moment you picked up that panel, our battle had been renewed.”

“Well, I guess we should introduce ourselves. I’m Esmeralda, this is Ajax and Clarabelle,” Esmeralda began as she pointed to her two friends. “I’m Spiritimus Prime, leader of the Autobots and daughter of Optimus Prime,” Spiritimus introduced herself, she then pointed to her warriors. “Braves ones, introduce yourselves,” she said.

“My name’s Razorwind,” Razorwind began. “And my name’s Rápido, mostly because I have the need for speed,” Rápido slightly boasted in his Spanish accent. “Wait, that name means speed in Spanish,” Esmeralda cried, “you’ve also got a Spanish accent, how’s that possible?”

“It’s a little hard to explain, but we reckon Rápido spent too much time watching Spanish movies,” Razorwind joked. Rápido glared at her as the kids laughed and Spiritimus

When they’d calmed down, Esmeralda turned to Spiritimus. “We’ll help you look for the Gestaltcons. Please let us help,” she begged. Ajax and Clarabelle begged. Spiritimus shook her head. “Why, on Earth, not?” Ajax asked.

“We don’t want to get you involved. Too much is at stake,” Spiritimus answered. Esmeralda smiled. “Too bad for you that we’re already involved, not to mention you don’t know half a thing about Earth. Things have changed over the past one hundred and twenty years,” she said.

Spiritimus looked a little concerned, she hated to involve others in these wars, too much had happened while she’d been leader, and, because of her foolish decisions, people had gotten hurt. She will never be as great as her father. Never. But she remembered that her father had involved humans before, and they’d turned out to be the best allies that no other Autobot could ever imagine.

Maybe she should allow these humans like her father did. She just hoped she wasn’t going to regret this someday. She sighed. “Alright, you can help us. But you must do exactly as I say. I cannot afford to have anymore casualties due to my foolish thoughts. I’ve still got a lot to learn about this whole leadership thing,” she said.

The kids smiled at each other. Then, to the Autobots’ surprise, Esmeralda placed her hand in between them. “Let’s work together like no other human has ever witnessed,” she said. Ajax placed his hand on top of hers, while Clarabelle placed her hand on top of his. “All for one. And one for all,” she said. They did it again and they laughed.

“Is something wrong? You look confused,” Esmeralda asked Razorwind. “Yes, I guess I am. You placed your hands in the middle of each other and placed one hand after the other on top of each other,” Razorwind said. “We humans do that a lot on Earth, it’s a sign of a friendship that will last us a life time,” Clarabelle answered.

Rápido gave a smile and he moved his hand towards them. “Count me in!” he cried as he held his hand out to them. Clarabelle and Ajax winced, but Esmeralda didn’t even flinch. “I’m sorry. I just want to be accepted as your friend,” he said when he saw the two wince, but he was puzzled by Esmeralda when she didn’t move at all.

“Rápido.”

The flamed mech turned when he saw Spiritimus with her hand in the middle of the trio. Rápido got the message and he placed his hand on top of hers, Razorwind placed hers on top of his and the three Transformers smiled. “You know, I could really like this Earth tradition,” Spiritimus laughed.

Razorwind and Rápido laughed as well. “Friendship and teamwork till the end!” Spiritimus cried. The kids laughed as well when Leogriff, Icarus and Seidenfuss, and two new additions, Wildfire and Torchlight (an eagle and a phoenix), who were partners of Razorwind and Rápido, mirrored their partners and the humans.

Everyone laughed as they enjoyed their first time of friendship that could last more than just a life time.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The bell rang for the end of school, Esmeralda took out her hoverboard and she kicked it into gear. As she flew down the street to meet up with her friends, she began to think about the Transformers. It was amazing that there was such thing as aliens, what else could live out in the galaxy that was so far away from Earth?

She shook her head and she spotted Ajax on his motor BMX. She slowed the hoverboard down until her speed was matched with the BMX. “Hey, Ajax, you haven’t seen Belle haven’t you?” she asked. “Wasn’t she at school today?” he asked. “She was, but she didn’t meet me at the front of the school like we always do,” Esmeralda answered.

“Maybe she had homework for a test or something,” Ajax said as he pondered. Esmeralda looked concerned. It was not like Clarabelle to not meet at their usual meeting place after school, it was very rare that she was late. “Maybe she went ahead to go see the Autobots or something,” Ajax finally spoke up, interrupting her thoughts. “Possibly,” Esmeralda answered as they drew nearer to the Autobot HQ that had been set up on top of the ship.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

When they arrived at the Autobot HQ, they got quite a surprise. The whole place had been transformed. Instead of being old and rusty looking like yesterday, it was clean and fresh with hardly a dent in it. They were about to take a look around when they saw Icarus and Leogriff rushing towards them with smiles on their faces.

“Okay, what happened?” Esmeralda asked with a slight hint of concern on her face. “Clarabelle came round as soon as school finished. She gave the finishing touches to the base,” Icarus answered in a feminie tone. “Without us?” Ajax asked in annoyed tone. “Oh don’t be jealous, Ajax, she’d gotten out of school early anyway,” Esmeralda said as she elbowed him in the ribs.

“Sorry,” Ajax apologised. “Hey!”

Esmeralda turned and saw Clarabelle rushing towards them with Seidenfuss running by her side. They stopped to catch their breaths just as Spiritimus Prime walked in. “You have quite a friend, Esmeralda. She’s got talent with adding finishing touches,” she said kindly. “Thanks, Spiritimus,” Clarabelle said as she blushed a little.

“Can you please tell me where you’re going next time, Belle, you had me worried,” Esmeralda said as she slightly frowned. “Sorry, Mera,” Clarabelle apologised as she twiddled her thumbs and fingers. “It’s okay, just don’t do that again,” Esmeralda whispered as she hugged Clarabelle gently to reassure her.

Rápido and Razorwind walked in, they also had smiles on their faces, and Spiritimus looked back at them. “The Gestaltcon energy detector is complete ma’am,” Razorwind said. “Good work youse two,” Spiritimus praised.

Ajax continued to gawk at the machinery. “Wow! This is like a candy store for geeks like me,” he wolf-whistled. “No kidding,” Esmeralda agreed as she raced into a lift until she was back on the balcony from yesterday. “It’s amazing isn’t?” Rápido asked. “You bet my money it is,” Ajax said.

Razorwind whispered to Spiritimus. “They act like they’ve never seen this before, ma’am.” “That’s because they’ve never seen a base or a ship. Remember, we’re highly advanced species than they are, despite how their technology has increased over the past one hundred and twenty years,” Spiritimus whispered back.

Razorwind looked puzzled for a moment before the alarms were raised. Leogriff rushed around in excitement. “Another’s coming online!” he cried. Esmeralda got the message. “Um, Leogriff said that a Gestaltcon has come online,” she said loudly over the alarms.

“Alright! Let’s go to the Command Centre and see where it is!” Rápido cried. Spiritimus then turned and headed for the Command Centre with Rápido, Razorwind, the kids and their Gestaltcon partners following right behind her.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

When they arrived at the Command Centre, Esmeralda got quite a shock. The giant computer had a picture of the Earth on its monitor, on the far right where Australia was located and flashing like crazy, was a tiny dot that was flashing a dark blue colour.

They’re activating all over the world! Esmeralda thought. It was true, the Gestaltcons had crash-landed on Earth and they were all over the globe, waiting to be found and brought to that certain place that Spiritimus Prime had spoken of. The adventure had begun.

Chapter 5: Companion

The alarms blared around the Command Centre. Clarabelle was rubbing her ears, trying to get rid of the horrible ringing that made her head lightly spin. Esmeralda looked concerned for her friend, but she didn’t worry too much. It was common when loud noises like this occurred and caused Clarabelle’s ears to ache a bit.

“Slag, this thing needs more work on!” Razorwind hissed as she typed quickly. “Can you try and boost the signal?” Spiritimus asked. “Not now, the thing is jammed up, I’ll need to work more on this computer, ma’am,” Razorwind said as she looked at Spiritimus. “However, I do have the place.”

Rápido gave a look of impatience. “Come on already!” the cocky racer cried. A silver wing lifted in front of him. “We need to know where we’re going, Rápido,” Razorwind growled as she turned her visor covered optics to the dark blue ones of the young warrior. “Whatever,” Rápido grumbled and he looked away. Spiritimus sighed.

“I think I can help.”

The Autobots looked down at Ajax as he took a laptop out of his bag. He sat down and began typing furiously. “Agh! I’ve tried to boost the signal, but it isn’t working!” he grumbled. “Here, let me help,” Leogriff said as he approached Ajax.

Ajax nodded and held out his laptop so that the leader Gestaltcon could scan it. The blue optics glowed and stopped when he turned to the monitor. “The coordinates are here,” he said as the monitor came up with a huge valley with a lake in the middle and trees surrounding it with hardly a sign of a clearing at all.

“Nice work, Leogriff,” Spiritimus praised with a smile. “I’ve heard about that valley,” Esmeralda said. “You have?” Ajax asked. “Yeah, it’s called Hidden Valley because it’s well hidden from human eyes. Not even advanced tech could find it with ease. They say that something interferes with them, so they can never get a lock on,” Esmeralda explained. “I see,” Ajax said.

“Alright, let’s go get it, we’ve wasted enough time standing around,” Rápido spoke up as he turned and headed for the doors that were located on the right of the Command Centre. “Mechs,” Spiritimus and Razorwind mumbled at the same time.

------------------

When the group reached the lift, Razorwind turned and looked down at the humans. “You better suit up,” she said. The kids looked confused as Ajax stepped on a circle shaped button. A glow appeared from beneath his feet and a warm fuzzy feeling spread through his body. In just three seconds, he was dressed up in a suit that fitted him nicely.

The suit was blue and silver and the Autobot symbol was located in the middle of the chest. “Wow, it fits nicely,” he said as he looked down at his suit. He walked off the circle and Clarabelle stepped onto another circle.

The same thing happened and she too was in the same suit, but instead, it was yellow with hints of red and grey and the Autobot symbol was located on her left shoulder. “Amazing!” she cried. “Yeah, we really must be part of the team now,” Ajax laughed as he and Clarabelle rushed into the lift as Esmeralda trotted onto the circle on the far right.

The warm fuzzy feeling swept over her and her suit appeared. It was much different than Clarabelle’s or Ajax’s. It was mainly red with blue on the breast and silver on the mid-section. On the right shoulder was the Autobot symbol and she had the feeling the design was identical to Optimus Prime’s from long ago. Why was she given these colours? Surely there was a reason. She shrugged lightly and stood by the taloned feet of Spiritimus Prime, who smiled secretly at her.

------------------

When the lift halted and the doors opened up, it revealed a huge room that was the size of two basketball courts. It was pitch dark and everything lightened up within seconds, shocking the kids.

Spiritimus Prime, Razorwind and Rápido transformed to their alternate forms. Spiritimus turned her golden optics to the children. “Rápido will take you, the Gestaltcons will hitch a ride with me,” she said. Rápido gave a soft cough, the kids thought it was annoyance, but Spiritimus knew what it really meant. He didn’t want to take them and she gave him a glare that she meant it.

The Koenigsegg CCX gave a slight groan as the kids climbed inside him. I just hope they don’t ruin anything, he thought. I can’t afford to have grubby hands on my seats. Something flew into Esmeralda’s hands. It was shaped like an eagle with a camera poking out of its forehead and tiny guns underneath its wing joints. “What’s that?” Ajax asked as he leaned over the seat to get a better look.

“That’s Aquila, she’ll ensure your safety while we’re here,” Spiritimus explained as the little eagle transformed into a camera. “Wow,” Clarabelle gasped.

Spiritimus gave a light chuckle before her voice spoke up. “Rápido, prepare to send the coordinates into the Space Bridge,” she ordered. “Coordinates are in, ma’am,” Rápido answered as the Space Bridge glowed until the wall was lit up with trees. “Launch!”

Spiritimus went into tiny pieces before she was sucked into the vortex. “Wait for me!” Rápido cried as he followed after his leader with the kids screaming inside of him. “Right behind you, ma’am!” Razorwind called as she too vanished into the vortex.

------------------

It took only seconds before the three Autobots finally appeared. Rápido opened his doors and the kids staggered out, clutching their abdomens. “That hurt,” Ajax mumbled when he gave his stomach a rub. “Yeah, that really did,” Clarabelle agreed. “Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it,” Razorwind chuckled. Esmeralda was the first to recover in an instant. Aquila was perched on her shoulder, giving off little twitters.

“We should stick together, this place may have lots of hiding places and I’ll bet the Decepticons will spring out of nowhere,” Spiritimus Prime said when she transformed to her robot mode and gave her wings a stretch. Rápido gave a snort as he transformed to his robot mode, along with Razorwind.

Spiritimus looked down at Esmeralda. “Can you send Aquila to look for the Gestaltcon?” she asked. “No problem, go on Aquila,” Esmeralda said as the robotic eagle spread her wings and took off into the sky.

Aquila hovered in the air, doing a three hundred and sixty degree turn, using the camera on her forehead, she spotted something before she swooped down and landed on Esmeralda’s hands. Lifting her right wing, it folded inwards until it was shaped like a rectangle and a screen appeared, showing what she’d seen. To Esmeralda’s surprise, a glowing object had been seen in Aquila’s sight. “She’s spotted it in the north,” Esmeralda said, looking up at Spiritimus.

“Good work, we’ll move out now,” Spiritimus said with a hint of praise in her voice. “Erm, how do we do that?” Rápido asked, looking around. All the young mech could see was trees, trees, and even more trees. “There’s no room to move at all.” “We’ll have to walk, it isn’t a walk in the park, Rápido,” Spiritimus said. Rápido sighed as he looked at his commander with a slight hint of annoyance, he was about to protest when Spiritimus gave him a glare.

The femme commander tucked her wings together, the claws in the middle met, keeping the wings firmly closed until they were needed. She took a slow step with the kids and their Gestaltcon partners sticking close to her. Rápido and Razorwind followed her without a hesitation.

The group had been walking through the forest for almost half an hour when Spiritimus accidently flung a branch into Rápido’s face. The flamed mech growled in anger and he took out a dagger that was hidden beneath his wrist. “Stop!”

Rápido halted at the command of Spiritimus. The kids stopped and looked up when they saw the femme’s golden optics fixed on Rápido. “Why?” Rápido asked. “Do not ever cut the trees down, Rápido. You could do more harm than good,” Spiritimus said calmly but her tone was slightly strict. “But... they’re annoying me!” Rápido cried. “Just leave them alone. We are only guests and we must respect this planet, no matter how annoying the locals appear to be,” Razorwind said.

Rápido gave a silent snort and he looked away in disgust. “We should be almost there by now,” Esmeralda said. Spiritimus gave a nod and she turned and continued to walk onwards with the kids and her warriors following.

------------------

Within the hour, the group finally reached the lake, it was a beautiful sight and even Rápido couldn’t disagree. “It’s... stunning,” he breathed. “It’s more than just stunning, it’s beautiful,” Spiritimus whispered.

Esmeralda took a step forward and dipped her hand in the water. Taking it out, she gave her fingers a little suck. “The water tastes really pure and sweet,” she said, looking at her friends. “It is?” Razorwind asked. The pale blue and silver femme gently placed her hand in the water, she took a sample of it and a look of surprise crossed her face.

“What is it?” Spiritimus asked. “Esmeralda’s right, the water’s completely clean!” Razorwind said. The commander nodded. “No wonder it’s called Hidden Valley, I’ll bet this place has never been touched by pollution,” she said. “Yeah,” Ajax agreed.

Spiritimus looked down at Esmeralda. “Is this the place?” she asked. “Yeah, the Gestaltcon should be in the water somewhere,” Esmeralda answered. “Then I guess it’s time for a little fishing then,” Razorwind joked. “We’ll have to be careful, Razor. Take only what you really need and nothing more,” Spiritimus said wisely.

Razorwind nodded in agreement. The commander transformed to her dragon mode and was about to dip her head in the water, when a purple blast shot her in the side. She gave a cry of pain and the kids gave a scream.

“Decepticons!” Razorwind and Rápido hissed at the same time. Esmeralda and her friends quickly took cover amongst the trees. Razorwind took to the skies and flung out her feather daggers, hitting Rapidfire in the face.

Spiritimus had got up, but she staggered a little from her injury. A foot kicked her in the side and she rolled a couple of times before she was stopped by a giant tree that was probably two hundred years old. The tree gave a groan of protest from the great weight of the femme commander.

Spiritimus looked in the direction of whoever kicked her and she held her breath when Stormcutter appeared in front of her face. “Well, what do we have here?” he asked in a mock tone. Spiritimus hissed in anger as the insane mech made a grab for her throat, but was bitten by her fangs and whipped by her tail.

Stormcutter gave a snarl of anger as Spiritimus leapt to her feet and made a lunge towards her enemy. Unfortunately, the Decepticon commander was far too balanced and he neatly dodged her lunge. As she shot past him, Stormcutter made a grab for her tail and gave a fierce tug. The young femme commander gave a roar of pain and she pivoted on her back legs, twisting her neck and her teeth fastened onto his arm, forcing him to let go of his enemy.

------------------

Esmeralda, Ajax, Clarabelle and their Gestaltcon partners looked onwards. Their faces were pierced with worry. But what was even worse was that a fire had started. The kids gave a scream as a burning one hundred year old tree blocked their pathway of escape.

Spiritimus had picked up their screams for help and she kicked Stormcutter in the face, sending the young Decepticon commander into the old tree. The tree gave another groan of protest, but didn’t fall.

Spiritimus was about to reach the children when she was blasted in the face by Stormcutter. “Don’t you dare turn your back on your enemy!” Stormcutter hissed as Spiritimus’ battered body collapsed in a huddled heap, just inches away from helping the children. “Spirit!” Esmeralda cried. The flames were drawing closer and it was becoming difficult to stay conscious.

Spiritimus opened her golden optics and she tried to reach out towards the burning tree, but her taloned foot was stamped on by Starscream. She screamed in pain as the red SIC kicked her in the left side and she rolled onto her back, exposing her mildly armoured belly. “This will be the end of you, Prime!” Starscream hissed as he pointed his wing sword at Spiritimus’ chest where her spark was located.

Just before the kids lost consciousness, Esmeralda managed to scream out a single word that could change the tide of the battle. “LEOGRIFF!”

Leogriff, Icarus and Seidenfuss’ optics glowed a deep gold colour. Then, as if answering a silent pray, Seidenfuss’ body folded until only his legs showed, then Icarus formed a torso, with arms and the flaming wings, she connected to Seidenfuss’ legs, and Leogriff followed in suit by folding every ounce of his body until only his head was left. He connected to Icarus’ shoulders with a single glow.

The newly combined mech gave a punch to the air and he spread his flamed wings, in a swift movement, he picked up the kids in his arms and he charged towards the flaming tree, shielding the children with his flamed wings. A loud crash followed as the mech destroyed the tree.

The Autobots and Decepticons looked on in confusion as the mech placed the kids down away from the flames. He spread his wings, took to the skies and lifted his arms above his head. As if by magic, clouds formed with thunder and lightning cracking in the distance. Rain poured and the fire was quickly put out in seconds.

The mech then turned and flew straight towards Starscream, his body forming deadly flames around him as he slammed head first into the red SIC. The seeker yelped in pain as he was forced to let go of the femme Prime.

------------------

The kids had woken up and had seen everything. “They combined?” Ajax asked in confusion. Esmeralda wasn’t listening, a pale blue light starting to glow in the middle of the lake and Spiritimus was right next to it. “Spirit! Behind you!” she cried.

Spiritimus turned her head slowly and she saw the pale blue light. Dipping her hand into the clean water, she picked up the glowing object. Opening her palm, she realised that it was coming to life. With a familiar pillar of light, a pale blue and yellow Gestaltcon stood in her palm.

Spiritimus could tell that its alt mode was an A-10 Warthog, a slow, but powerful, plane that could deal incredible damage. The young Prime gave a small smile. “I had a feeling we’d meet again, Saberblast. Are you ready to kick some Decepti-tail?” she asked. “Ready Prime!” the Gestaltcon answered.

------------------

Stormcutter, who’d been so busy focusing his attention on the failure of his SIC, spotted the movement of Spiritimus and he realised that he’d been too late on capturing the Gestaltcon. “No!” he cried in anguish.

“Transform!” Spiritimus screamed as she transformed to her dragon form. Saberblast connected to the back of her neck, and she stood tall, preparing to attack. The pale blue, dark blue and silver dragon opened her mouth as a huge fireball formed at the back of her throat. “Fireblast!” she screamed as she shot her head forward and the fireball shot towards Stormcutter and Starscream, who screamed in shock and surprise.

The blast knocked them several metres away from the others, Spiritimus stamped up to them with her golden optics flaring with dangerous fury. “This is your entire fault, Starscream,” Stormcutter growled as he warped out with the, slightly, whimpering red seeker following in suit. Blackfire also warped out, but Rapidfire gave a snarl just when he was about to kill Rápido. He’d been so close. With another growl, the huge tank mech warped out.

------------------

Esmeralda, Ajax and Clarabelle walked towards their combined partners, with the Autobots looking on. The mech was one times bigger than Esmeralda, his optics were covered by a red visor, while his mouth was covered by a face-plate, so it was extremely difficult to read his face.

“How did you combine?” Esmeralda asked. “When you were in a desperate situation and you cried out, our powers were awakened once again,” the mech explained in a male voice. “What do you mean again?” Ajax asked. “All in good time, Ajax,” the mech answered with a little laugh.

“So, do you have a name? You sound like you have one mind, even though you have three to form you,” Clarabelle asked. “My name is Leicarfuss,” the mech answered. “That sounds like the combined names of our partners,” Esmeralda answered. “That’s because it is.”

The kids looked up at Spiritimus. “What do you mean?” Ajax asked. “It takes three Gestaltcons to form a single powerful thing. They mainly form animals or weapons, but your partners are the only ones to ever combine into a robot, thus making him the leader of the Gestaltcons. It’s extremely rare to see a trio form into a robot,” Razorwind explained.

Leicarfuss split into Leogriff, Icarus and Seidenfuss. The trio looked at their partners before Leogriff took a step forward. “We thought you were going to burn to death,” he said. “Its okay, thanks to Leicarfuss, we wouldn’t be here to tell the tale,” Esmeralda joked and everyone laughed.

Spiritimus looked around at the forest that surrounded them. “I’m glad Leicarfuss put out the fire, if it weren’t for him, this whole place would take years to grow back,” she said as she bent down and touched the two hundred year old tree with the kids looking on in amazement. “We need to be more careful in the future, otherwise life would never be able to thrive in peace if the Decepticons won this war. I swear upon my father’s grave that I will protect this planet from Stormcutter’s evil insaneness.”

Esmeralda, Ajax and Clarabelle smiled at each other. “As Columbus said long before our time, ‘Nature will forever be untamed.’”

The kids watched as Spiritimus picked an extremely tiny seed in her powerful talons. They were amazed that she could be so gentle with such fearsome claws. She made a tiny hole in the spot where the burnt down tree’s place had been, placed the seed in the hole, and covered it up with a gentle sweep of her arrow head tail.

I guess Spiritimus really did have a love for life. I first thought she might just be a robot with little feeling, but I’d proved myself wrong when Rápido tried to cut a tree down and Spiritimus took immediate action before any of us could tell him to stop. I had the feeling that she might be more than just a great leader, she will become a great hero just like her father.
