One for each year of the Movieverse's decade strong tenure. Here's to a few more explosive years!
The easiest solution is to simply skip that opening Cybertron scene when watching the movie.TulioDude wrote:D-Maximal_Primal wrote:How the fandom treats that first 3 minutes is why Bee is my 2nd least favorite movie. I get it. The movie is cool, but they way its praised online, can be off putting. I take a break from the online communities when I feel like this.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.
This is something I've seen a lot of people mention many times in many places. Why is humor considered "for kids"? Don't adult like to laugh too? All adult cartoons are bad sitcoms full of alleged "humor", so it would seem to be the case.First-Aid wrote:and it's humorous enough to entertain the kids.
Transformation cogs go back to G1 season 3.First-Aid wrote:IF I'm not mistaken this is the first time we actually hear them referred to as "cogs", taking a page from TF: Prime's book.

Just wait. The movie will come out we'll find out he's voicing Starscream, Hot Rod, Shockwave, Soundwave, Grimlock, and about seven other side characters.twitchybristles wrote:Definitely looking forward to this. (Also thanking the Allspark that so far no one is voiced by Chris Pratt, lol.)

But we are geeks. We're not normal adults because we refused to grow up, refused to conform to what society has deemed appropriate for adults. We like fun, dagnabbit.First-Aid wrote:Adults...well, we can laugh at something but it isn't necessarily going to be fun. We also have a better ability to focus and tend to look for things more than just fun. There are thousands of pages here in this very forum about what is supposed to be fun and enjoyable- collecting something we love- yet there is whining, wailing, gnashing of teeth, and name calling. Adults look for things to be more complex.

kurthy wrote:It also helps that the next most interesting movie out right now is Thelma. A couple of weeks ago when my wife and I were having date night, we looked to see if there was a movie worth seeing and it was just inside out 2 (we wanted to watch that with the kids not on date night). Does the fall have such a dearth of movies?

Ugh, I wanna watch it again already. What a movie. Straight in as my fave of the 21st century TF movies. Brings the backstory and deep lore to life, has fun with it and puts on a show with real stakes, big emotions, and easter eggs galore. I need it on Blu-ray immediately cheers
Shadow25 wrote:Guys... it was fantastic. You're all gonna love it. This movie is a love letter to Transformers. It embraces and does right by its characters and all iterations of the franchise while carving its own path.
I can't wait for everyone to see it. I really think and hope this can be something that unites all fans of this franchise.

The trailers don’t do this justice. Rich in character & emotion with a deep reverence for the lore, it tells the origins of Optimus Prime and Megatron, tragically transforming once from brothers to enemies. Josh Cooley directed this animated film to perfection, down to the last comedic and action beat, all backed by an epic score & an excellent voice cast. One of the genuine surprises of the year for me

I can't spoil anything, but it's really really good! You can feel that it was made by fans, with love. Had a fantastic time!

Engaging story, stunning visuals, legit laughs, AND some tear-jerking gravity? Come on. The best Transformers theatrical experience I’ve had. Massive W. I’ve long thought the Transformers lore was goofy - this movie slapped me in the face and told me to sit down and listen. was locked in on everything regarding the Primes, Cybertron, and exactly how this world works. made me want to become a diehard fan. Keegan-Michael Key steals the show as Bumblebee. multiple legitimate laugh out loud moments from him. ScarJo and Hemsworth are welcomed surges of charisma as well, and Jon Hamm crushed as Sentinel Prime
