The best ever was when I had scored a TR Leader PMOP for $20 and it was missing a wheel so I sent it to Hasbro and they sent me back a G2 Menasor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However, they did say that 1: the whole slow website problem and the failure to actually get the figure was their fault. They take full credit. 2 and most importantly: they asked me to send an email for my product code to see my validation for purchasing the figure. Now I don't know what they plan to do with this, as my card wasn't charged with any form of payment, maybe some compansation? Who knows, if they really do plan to restock tomorrow they'll hold on to one of the box sets for me?
Probably not though, I don't even expect compensation at this point, only a half-hearted 'sowwy we didn't get you your figure.'
Well... in the end, the answer is always takara anyway.
Really? Whenever I have a problem like this Hasbro always gives me some kind of compensation. Once I emailed customer service about a bad defect on a Leader Class figure, and they told me to send me the toy and they would send me another Leader figure. They sent me a Primitive Skateboarding Optimus Prime.
But yeah, the Throne of the Primes is coming back in stock tomorrow anyway.
THEY SENT YOU NOT ONLY THE LEADER FIGURE YOU WANTED, BUT THE SKATEBOARDING POWERMASTER PRIME?!
Maybe this isn't so bad afterall.

OHOHOH THIS IS GOING TO BE EXCELLENT!!!
For anyone who got japed like we did, just contact and hope for your compensation. It might not be the Throne, but it could be something else really good.

Oh no, I may have been misunderstood, we were all discussing about how we were conpensated in the case of defective toys, like the missing wheel I described. In both cases, we had to send Hasbr our actual toys in the mail for them to give us something back.
With these throne transactions, the whole point is that nothing happened. They will not be compensating us with free toys since we didnt buy anything after all. Aside from probably getting nothing, the only other thing we might get it a coupon for a small discount on a standard non sale and non exclusive item.

I second this. Don't give in to the same people that bought up the figure, thus preventing you from purchasing it.
On the subject of Decoy Armors, which Pretenders do you think the set-exclusive Prime Masters would have been matched to for their Decoy Armors if they'd had a regular releaswe?
I can pin down at least who Amalgamous Prime would have been matched to based on mold: Waverider/Diver. Amalgamous uses the same mold as Micronus Ptime, and we know from the promotion for Legends Grand Maximus that the Waverider/Diver Decoy Armor exists as a retool of Micronus' Cloudburst/Phoenix armor.
Yeah, that would just validate their methods. I already see some of the figures on eBay going for double the price. Hopefully no one will be dumb/desperate enough to buy them.Lore Keeper wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:I just hope the frustration of this experience doesn't cause some of you to turn to scumbag scalpers.

Besides, I think this figure, much like Nemesis Prime, is way overhyped.
I used my laptop, and I had little to no issues.Ultra Markus wrote:Just out of curiosity what was the device used to attempt to purchase the figure and what success you had

They seem to have a flat rate of shipping. It was ¥1200 to ship to me in the US. Total came out to ¥8380($75) total for me. That is the least expensive I have seen it anywhere. Sure, it will take a lot longer to come here than most everywhere else, but it is going to be $10 cheaper than HTS and $20 cheaper than BigBadToyStore for me.
And...as I am typing this, it declined my credit card.

Using that estimate, it would be about £59.28, without tax I should have as that goes over the custom's limit, so I think I'll be charged VAT on top of that...maybe a bit more. Actually, assuming that the shipping is a flat fee to the UK, I'll be looking at just under £72...
