Don't worry, you're not completely alone. I like 'em too!...could be because I don't have any variations of the Aerialbots. But still, I like them and I'll probably be adding them to my shelf.

Starscream has packed a lot of muscle!

Perhaps to get around the limitation of there only being 12 Primes some of the Prime-Masters will have engine blocks on them instead of icons and be actual Powermasters. or they might do something with them like turn a mini-fig into a vaguely Turbine shape (for the top part) and use them as part of Turbomasters.

Also speaking of Turbomasters Thunderclash might fit the leader gimmick too - perhaps as some sort of Optimus remould.

He's a combiner wars torso. It's not even a secret. (it could have been if they didn't show these 30th repaint of aerialbot limbs).

Not likely. Given the massive arms and legs, and the large quantity of backpack, it looks like, if he is a torso, he'll transform very differently to Silverbolt and his repaints/remoulds.

The Silverbolt transformation is very specific with the legs becoming the combined mode Torso. I don't see any Toros panels on the legs, and lots of backpack kibble beyond the wings to deal with, which Silverbolt kept to a minimum.

I love the "I don't display my figures facing the wall" line. It is the absolute truth, but people still go nuts over backpacks.

And in some pictures, Starscream doesn't look that bad. Not really that good still, but slightly better.

And I'm with Kurona on Dreadwind and Darkwing. They do look good. I think they're the best reveals so far.

I like them a lot too. It's weird, usually I don't bother with the characters I don't know unless they are excellent molds. But these guys just look really sharp and their colors will look great on my Con shelf. Unfortunately Beachcomber and those two are the only ones that interest me.

Starscream is growing on me, even if he does have hulk hands. I don't mind the bulkiness in robot mode, but in jet mode it'd be hard to hide all the bulk from robot mode.

Also, I'm pretty sure we'll be getting a legends Cliffjumper at some point during this line. I don't know if they'll use the Bumblebee mold again though since we have a red retool of it already with Chase/Roadburn

To be honest, Dreadwind and Darkwing Blackwing are the two figures out of all these reveals that I feel the most positive about.

Of course, most of that positivity is based in the prospect of Takara being able to make a new Buster and Hydra out of them, rather than based in the two as they are.

His robot mode (especially the shoulders) looks to be a heavily inspired by the robot mode design of his Leader class toy from 2015.

And the leader class mold was heavily inspired by the nulegend class toy from 2013. What's after the voyager? A titan class version?

That's gotta be mistransformed. His head should at least be able to go somewhere out of sight. Otherwise that's more of a hang-glider than a jet. . .

Boy, that Rodimus Prime got way less appealing with that underside shot. I still like the idea, but he's pretty....Star Convoy-ish.

I for one actually love how beefy Starscream is here.

He will fit in my collection with TR Megatron and Soundwave who are both a bit chunky themselves and as a second in command to me Starscream should have an actual realistic reason for being second in command of the Decepticon empire or Soundwave or Shockwave since if he is a pathetic character it would either mean Megatron is an idiot or there were other second in commands before Starscream that all died.

Also that Jazz is absolutely top.
