She's got one hell of a backpack but other than that she looks really good.

Well you can balance out the backpack by using the hand/armor as a pregnant belly. Actually, you can do that, and put a prime master in there as the baby. [sigh] I have 4 daughters, I know this will become a reality for me at some point...

I hadn't seen the stock photo yet, so it's great to see what her face sculpt is like! Looks fantastic.

And her backpack is definitely big, but I like the rest. I have Victorion (very cool) and would've loved the Takara Con variant....but I'd also prefer to see more G1 femmebots to combine with Elita-1.

Yeah, I'm banking on a five-member combiner team for the femmebots ... or I will be very, very disappointed. (Also, same for a nice Takara release of the same.)

It is very odd that we don't have any official name for the intended combiners using Starscream as core or Elita One. Come on Hasbro. Get our collective imaginations going here! It's bad enough we don't get a full bio or tech-spec anymore... the LEAST we could ask for is a name! (ha)

Starscream is a spare torso like CW Cyclonus it looks like, so Hasbro may not have bothered considering a name for him. I'm going with King Starscream because of the crown

Elita-1 however... If PotP goes past 4 waves, we may get two more femmebots, but the Combiner art shows Jazz and Sludge as part of the combo.

Yeah, the CW instructions have always shown a rando combination of whatever bots were in the wave. But here's hoping to heaven they actually have a plan.

Only one Deluxe has been leaked for wave 4. We could get one or two more new ones for that wave, and if we get a 5th/6th wave, that could be plenty enough to finish new limbs for Starscream and Elita-1. Inferno however...? Getting 3 more deluxes other than Jazz, and separated so far from the others, does raise a lot of questions. Plus releasing him solely seems if anything Jazz may be an extra limb, and Inferno may be the extra Torso of this series, but I truly hope not.

The leaked Wave 4 showed nothing else but repacks outside of Novastar.

Its a damn shame that beside the Dinobots and Terrocon that, from the looks of it, they're just randomly throwing around spare torsos and limbs. This may be neat for those with an already extensive CW collection but I was kinda hoping we'd see at least one more complete combiner set.

Actually, not quite for CW.
The only 2 misplaced team members were Drag Strip and Air Raid, so it doesn't really set much of a precednt for PotP. If I remember correctly Superion was shown with Dragstrip, but Menasor was shown complete since Dragstrip was already out. Every other limb bot was released with their combiner torso and shown complete. The non-combiner, or extra torsos usually had a mis-mash of figures that were released to that point, but not necessarily the current wave. Red Prime had the wave 1 limbs because he was also in wave 1 and nothing else was released yet, but I thought Cyclonus and Scattorshot had a mix of previous waves. They did however at least have combiner names (Ultra Prime, Galvatronus and Betatron).

^ nah, there was a lot of mish-mash with CW instructions, based mostly on when something came out. Deluxe Groove was said to be part of Sky Reign on his instructions due to being a late May madness release. That's why I stick with official combinations, and make up my own for the rest. Fortunately when combining all Con and Club exclusives, there are enough extra limbs to make totally unique Combiners for all the Torso's from CW & UW.

As for total conjecture on what they could do to round out an Inferno/Jazz combiner... they haven't released Ratchet to the USA mainstream audience. They could also easily squeeze out a Jazz repaint (or two) for Stepper and/or Ricochet (like the dark red/white Botcon figure).

Besides that We are still missing a Sideswipe toy from G1 'season one'. Hoping they'll get around to that (with Red Alert and maybe eventual G2 repaint for a store exclusive somewhere. Solid repaint potential there, too.).... all coming together in a nice assortment of red, white, and black limbs. Would be a nice looking bot assembled.

Hoping they realize we know when they leave someone out of the lineup.

Oh. Regarding Starscream, I'd love to see Skywarp and TC limbs...

Heck, I'd PREFER to see a couple of store three packs with ALL the original three (including a gratuitous Starscream so we can have the trio in same size) and another with Thrust, Dirge, Ramjet... which it seems like they have the pre-tooling for looking at the mold changes to Dreadw-guy.

Well it all has to be taken in perspective. Most people here know I'm a Combiner fanatic. I've always been fascinated with the idea, and its my absolutely favorite thing about the entire Transformers mythology. Most people like the idea ok, but get burned out seeing all the reuse etc...

I jumped in a little late myself. Seeing Superion & Menasor revealed at BC 2014 was "neat", but I figured they'd never go full blown. I figured *maybe* like TF Energon, there'd be around 4 combiners, and that's it...but went above and beyond, and sealed the deal with their own unique variants on some characters. I also took a gamble trusting the word of a couple fine folks here that believed the system used to create the combiners would return at some point in the future to represent characters we never got in CW. It seems, the future has arrived


Now I will say, the Club and Con exclusives can brake your wallet....However, if you are patient, you can see some people start to unload their CW (and even in some cases UW) loose collections' on eBay, it's a fairly inexpensive way to build a Combiner Army.

And I'm right along with you. I've been having a blast growing my own combiner collection... and really had my imagination piqued at the notion of new mixes like Galvatronus and the other guys (Ultra Prime, Scattershot V1, Grand Galvatron...).

Just recently caught wind of Botcon's "Modulus" and other old-school G1 random mix-and-match guys like Comperian, Abomenaticus, Scramble 7, and Destron/Cybertron Super Scramble. While these old ones are a bit shrug-worthy, it still can be a fun afternoon of swapping limbs... since some are already possible with CW... and the remaining ones unlocked by the end of the year when the new Abominus is released.

Oh. I also forgot Bluestreak hasn't seen a main line release either. I'd still love a non-Botcon-diaclone version.

Don't make me paint these myself, Hasbro. That's just sad! Get some deals going with BBTS, Walgreens, Target and crank these out!!

At the very least I'm tempted to get the remaining 'G2' Combiner sets when it come to CW stock once I can afford them, as I know these guys aren't anywhere as popular as the G1 deco, meaning they can still be found.

Plus I need two more limbs to attach to 'Nova Prime' (aka Battle Core Optimus), as I intended to assign Dreadwind and Darkwing to him once I've got them. Unfortunately, it seem the other spare limbs in PotP are all Autobots.

All I got are Onslaught and Motormaster *sob* That leaves me with the personal obligation to get Hun-Gurrr, and with him the Terrorcons, but the Stunticons and Combaticons are out of reach for now. O well, that's what you get for being scared of possible QC problems.

CW: Victorion, Computron, Liokaiser, and Predacus giftsets ( Computron is *my* Betatron while UW-08 is my official Computron ) I also have the TFCC 4.0 and 5.0 sets that make up Thunder Mayhem & Wreckage

Self made Combiners from extra Torsos & Limbs

"Optimus Maximus" Composed of Battle Core Optimus Prime, Alpha Bravo, Rook, Smokescreen, and SG Starscream

"Grand Scourge" Composed of Grand Scourge, Offroad, CW Blastoff, CW Vortex, and BC2016 Terrorsaur

"Magnaboss"Composed of CW Silverbolt, CW Ironhide, CW Prowl (with special stickers) BC 2016 Tigatron & Unit-3

That gives me an army of 20.

Now...as for Modulus that is quite problematic, but in my "dream" scenario it would require me to:

1. Obtain a single release CW Scattorshot (fairly easy)
2. Replace the Rook I have on Op Max with Marvel Comics Ratchet
3. Replace the SG Starscream I have on Op Max with G2 Ratchet
4. Obtain Medix
5. Obtain SG Ratchet and convince him to switch sides to be a Hero (since my Original Ratchet is dedicated to Lynx Master)...

If I were to ever get Modulus (not holding my breath...) Along with the 3 G2 sets that gives me a total Army of 24 unique Combiners (12 good and 12 bad)...

Prowl, Bluestreak and Smokescreen are called the Datsun triplets, after their G1 vehicle mode, the Datsun Z by Nissan. It's known in Japan as the Fairlady Z.

I kind of wish Pounce, Wingspan, Fastlane, and Cloudraker had been made as CW deluxes, and released in both Autobot and Decepticon colors, as troop-builder combiner limbs.
