Her combiner head is extremely similar to her regular head, so much so that you almost have to look at them side by side to tell. IMO, that's the one thing Starscream's torso mode does better is the gestalt head.

Both look fantastic in full on combiner mode. I really hope these make it to UK retail.

Good shots, Cobo! Reaffirms my decision on both figures. Hun-grr is a must have, Elita-1 is a pass.

I'll get her, not for torso mode that's for sure, because that looks like total bollocks, but because it'll be the first figure I have of her.

Plus I don't want her mold mate.

I know this is a bit late, as it was like revealed almost a week ago, but I am just getting around to seeing it.
I am so loving Snarl, , those "in hand" pics of him do him some justice, it could just be that he has always been my favorite Dinobot , but I think he is the best of the newer (updated) group as well.
And I am also glad that we are getting more "classic" female Autobots for the line, combiners or not, I just think it is awesome.

I want to comment on Elita 1's gestalt physique, but I'm worried I'll get into trouble for "Titan Shaming" her...

Ah, ever the wordsmith, Sir. It does, indeed, look like fecal matter.

However, I actually think her regular mode looks pretty good. I actually like the stickers. It's just that the placement of them is sloppy.

I really do like her individual modes (won't comment on the stickers, haven't paid close enough attention), but that torso ... it just looks like a big block of red plastic.

Tack some limbs on and it just doesn't blend. That may be the choice of the bots Cobes used though.

But that's irrelevant to me. I only keep the "traditional" combiners combined. Any additional limbs and torsos stay in their individual modes.

That reminds me, I need to cancel my preorder for Starscream, Optimus Prime, Jazz, etc. I'm waiting on them to get remolds and recolours to get my attention.

We got the definitive Ultra Magnus in Combiner Wars, so just take the easy route Hasbro, paint Optimus black, or better yet, paint him orange. We need a decent modern day Fire Guts!

I'm curious if Elita-1 would look good as an alternate torso for Victorion. Or for that matter Megatronia.

I think fire guts would work well especially since the transformation of pax to chest is reminiscent of ginrai to super ginrai, they probably should of kept the power master prime name for this. Ah well, what can you do...we need a shrugging emoji.

@primalxconvoy wouldn't you be waiting a long time to get those then since takara will only be doing exclusives for this next line at least?

My Elita will be remaining in Robot Mode, just like Starscream. I think that torso is terrible.

I like Elita-1's stickers too, which are numerous....but the application is sloppy, for sure. I have yet to combine her, but Cobbes satisfied that itch for me with dem pics.

I just like her the way she is.

Elita-1 looks great there posed with PotP Leader Optimus Prime. Too bad she towers over the Classics Optimus Prime mold, though. That's the version I use in my display for scale purposes. Keeps Combiner Wars Leader Jetfire appropriately much bigger than Prime. Of course, some other Voyager Autobots also tower over poor Classics Optimus, like Inferno and Grapple. We really need a new good Voyager Optimus Prime figure in the Classics/Generations style. The CW version isn't bad, except for that head sculpt. It's too small, and I really don't like the stylized linework on the mouth plate.

OK, comparing Elita-1's regular and Combiner head, they're similar, but the differences are major once you get a closer look:





Same type of differences as Optimus Prime, although not as severe:

My main beef is not that I cant tell they are different, I cant tell which is the powered up version. Clearly, Optimus' combined mode shows a head that has elements exagerated, like the crest and the antennas. And I dont need to look up close to notice it. With Elita, both are just variant versions of her cartoon head. And from far, not only can you not tell which is which but it isnt at all obvious that one is for her combined form.

I dunno if that's fair, elita's head has quite a few more limitations on what can fit into her body than o/p's who just tucked his head into a cavernous backpack...

Being "modest" in a sense does made her... alone? I can tell you that the regular head with the circles on the side of the helmet and the circular horns is more accurate to the cartoon design.

Again, anyone compare Starscream's and Elita-1's Enigmas?
