Yes.
Why?

Because they are all as threathening. One isnt more powerful than the rest. They are a team you dont want to **** with. Its kinda like with the Ninja Turtles, sure Leo's theleader but he isn't better than the rest. They are all equally bad ass and are all the same height and build.
Er, Raph's bigger than the others (and, this time, the leader) in the new upcoming series.

Does it look like i keep up with the turtles?
Twas your example. ;) :PEACE:

To answer Sabsie's question. I could see that it would matter to some. Wouldn't matter to me. They are robotic animals. They can be any size they want/need to be. Also, Voltron. They are all the same animal. One is bigger than the rest. That's never mattered to anyone me.

Honestly, I wouldn't have been particularly bothered if Razorclaw was a bit bigger than his limbs. Not monstrously so but just big enough that he had enough mass to make a better torso. And honestly, from my experience, 5-man combiner teams that don't rely on partsforming really, really need the torso member to be bigger than the limb-bots. You can futz with it a bit (Feral Rex looks decent in combined mode with a fairly small torso, and hits that "anime super robot" look) but in general, the torso needs more mass than the limbs in order to fucntion well and look good.

I fear Titan Predaking tried to have his cake and eat it with scale. They could have had them all the same size and give Predaking himself a relatively small but solid torso, again like late 80s/early 90s anime robots. But they wanted to have them all be the same size and yet have a more "regularly" proportioned combined mode, and the result was...disappointing.

I don't feel like reading though all the pages, but I have this much to say:

I am very disappointed. Was disappointed Saturday seeing the story on Twitter, disappointed Sunday, and still disappointed today.

He is so bland... the individuals are so awfully bland and boxy and... no, just no. Devastator and the Constructicons were decent in individual modes and beyond awesome in Devy mode, but Predaking here even looks bland and sad.

And he is the only way you can get Onyx Prime? and without a Prime Master suit? I'm very sad.

I still plan to get him, but he will be very low on the priority list. Which is a major let down for me

Overall I like what I see. I think the robot modes are good (except the back of headstrong and tantrum) and combined mode looks great. Disappointed with the lack of a sword, hopefully SDCC will have a special edition with one.

I feel like this was one combiner that no matter which way they went Hasbro was going to get **** for. Make him a standard scramble city type and you'll have people complaining about how he's no longer bigger than the other combiners and how Razorclaw is too big. You'd get the same complaints if they made Razorclaw closer to leader size here. If they made him a parts former for the legs you'd have people complaining about him being a parts former and be calling hasbro lazy. They don't make him a parts former and then this happens. They tried to do everything and unsurprisingly came up short.

I agree as well. But you know what? I am not fond of any of the constructicons on their own either. I think the only one that actually works well is Takara's Scrapper. The rest feel like OS KO toys, they really do. But the combined form is great so I dont mind. Same will happen with this one. At least my favourite Predacon, Rampage, seems like a good update to G1. Especially the tiger head.

Everytime I look over the photos I get that same giddy feeling I got looking over Devastator. Yeah, there are some areas of eh-ness, but it just looks fun. I only ever had Tantrum as a kid, and yeah, it was a brick with legs. I loved him all the same. So I see the black connector bit hanging off the back and, well, I don't display these toys as I do my MPs, unless I throw in Devastator in combined mode to fill in the Decipticon portion and yeah, it's not perfect but it works ok. I play with the other toys alot, in that I transform them back and forth when I can't sleep at night. I'm looking forward to doing that to these toys, they look like they may have simpler transformations, and some kibble that is hard to ignore for people who display perhaps (though why you would display them with their backs facing out is odd to me), but for those who want to play with these it could easier to ignore. And, as a parent, I could see myself buying these for my kids and kids really loving these toys that combine into a giant robot toy that is presumably way more possible than the giant robot toys like power rangers that share the same gimmick of combination.
So I do get the issues people see on it, but I think we should all hold off on pitchforks and torches till we get some real in-hands type of stuff.
If you don't like it your wrong! Kidding, if you really don't like it, that's cool. But I hope you guys are ok with my inner kid bouncing with glee at the toy. :-D

So the only G1 combiner I actually liked and his new toy just looks.... bleh... The third party ones look far better than this and they all came years before. It just looks so mediocre in both combined and indivual robot and beast mode forms. Yeah, PotP is just not a line I am enjoying at all. Full of wasted opportunities.

Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

Yeah, it is completely lacking of any style, charisma, or character, everything that really made predaking who he was wasn't really carried over to this...
I am not a G1 fan, please treat my opinions as such.

I'm leaning towards Icepick, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Considering the retailer version looks to be a lighter yellow-orange color I'm going to guess Pincher:

Image

First off the color of the shell matches the Prime Master to a T. Second Onyx Prime's thing is beasts and Pincher is one of the only humanoid Pretenders with an inner bot with a beast alt mode. I suppose they could go with Stranglehold since his inner bot is the same color as Onyx Prime, but I don't think a half naked guy with a porn 'stache makes for a good suit of armor (for anyone other than Stranglehold anyway). On the down side Onyx is probably being aligned with Decepticons if Predaking is anything to go by so he may very well be paired with a 'Con shell. (I know that in the story they don't really have alignments, but I feel like to mix their toy pairings up once they assign a shell or establish a pack-in in Predaking's case).

I was ready to sell my Feral Rex two years ago when the first inkling of a Titan Predaking came up. Now, I'm having second thoughts. (he's just been sitting in boxes for about 18 months because I'm lazy) The combined mode looks the best, the individual robots are mostly okay, but the beasts are bleh. I'm solidly of the opinion that Razorclaw should be bigger because you can't have a well-proportioned combiner when the torso is the same size as the shin. I really appreciate what they've tried to do here and I'm not 100% out yet, but I'm definitely going to wait on reviews. When I got Takara Devastator I wound up liking that a lot, maybe this will be similar. Or maybe not. We'll see what in-hand reviewers have to say.

Also, I'm still digging through the regular POTP thread and stumbled upon these posts. This can't go un-addressed.
william-james88 wrote:Ok so about Predaking, I know that the back of the robot modes for the legs look like eye sores and I also think it doesnt look good. But I know why its there. Is so that Steeljaw isnt bigger than the rest. I have the KO Feral Rex and the alt modes are not great, at all. Especially the Steeljaw component which looks completely out of wack in the proportions department.

So there are no individual weapons for the bots and no sword for Predaking.

The leg bots have that long kibble that, as of now, doesn't integrate into robot modes.

It's at least $50 more than Devastator who, for better or worse, had weapons for the individual bots and Devastator, and worked the combiner kibble in better.

I'm disappointed, not CW Combaticons disappointed, but I've really lost interest in this figure. Oh well, like Devastator there's always Takara. Oh, wait... Damn!

It's not $50, but I vaguely remember Devastator being $120 for the MSRP... Well, nevermind on that. I thought it was $120, but my pre-order price was 139.99, and I believe that was a discounted price. Sounds like it's been $150 since Devs.

Though, technically Metroplex (the first Titan) was definitely not $150, but that is kind of a different story.

You mean like the SDCC Trypticon with Brunt we got? ;) The only reason the SDCC version came with a sword was because the Takara Tomy version did. Until Tryps came along all of the Takara Tomy Titans came with something the Hasbro retail versions didn't (Metroplex - two guns, Devastator - more weapons, Fort Max - Master Sword), but then Trypticon came along and he was identical to Hasbro's and Hasbro didn't do an SDCC version. The chances of a better version of Predaking happening are pretty slim now.

Based on what we've seen so far, I would put that chance at about 0.001%.

There's always a bit of hope for an SDCC version with a sword.

SDCC Devsatator has chrome and a new head, different from the UW version (that, and the SDCC version didn't have the UW retooling...), so I could see something similar happening with Predaking.

Although... "Descendants of Solus Prime" was mentioned, with Elita-1, Moonracer and Novastar. Box set?
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

- Jelze Bunnycat =:3

Looking for:
- TR Furos (Hardhead's head) and Crashbash (lost him :()
- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1 (plus repro Victorion hands and feet?)
