Wow!

On the way to work today I just for the heck of it stopped by one of my local Y'All-Marts. I expected the usual crashing disappointment to occur, so I was completely blown away when I found CV Magnus and Skyquake, as well as Deluxe Rumble and Kup. Bought on sight.

I then spent the rest of the day muttering stuff like "well, ain't that something", and "wow, how do you like that!", and "I'll be doggone!"as if I had just seen a real unicorn or found a pile of hen's teeth.

Kinda sad how actually finding Transformers at the store should be a thing that triggers such a reaction, lol.

Yep, we've reached the point where Legends style figures cost as much as Deluxe used to, and Deluxe figures cost as much as Voyagers used to. On the day CV reaches Voyager pricing, I think it'll finally be time to quit the hobby!

Easier said than done. Trust me, I know. Granted, you're right...if Cyberverse Commanders (Scout Class) reach current Deluxe/Old timey Voyager/Mega pricing, then it might be time to rethink the whole thing.

I can't even imagine what Leaders and Voyagers and Ultras (if they ever return) will cost, then. But, to be fair, our non-US brethren have been paying these prices and then some, for years. It's only fair we get burned, too. What would be more fair is if the prices dropped all over the place. There's no good reason why a $10.00 toy should cost double and perhaps triple simply because you live in a different country. That makes no sense and it's just a bunch of bull to rip people off.

It costs more for a variety of reasons, but most of them can probably be alleviated through decent scheduling. Most likely, Hasbro, Hasbro Canada, and Hasbro's EU locations place orders separately for product. Takara uses different molds (AM Ports) and different toylines, so we know they definitely place separate orders. But the US, Canada and Europe more than likely use the same toylines. If these were ordered from the facility in China at the same time, it would cost less due to how ordering materials works.

In other news, finally got Jet Vehicon last week. Now I just need to mind my MiniMates Batman.

Picked up the Cyberverse orange Knock Out and repaint Bulkhead at Walmart this morning. I was bummed Skyquake was gone. I've been trying to avoid buying the non show characters, but some of these new repaints look kind of cool.

I went to a very poorly organised comic convention in Prato (Italy).

I paid for entry, I didn't really enjoy much of it, although there was an interesting talk by an Italian artist/co-creator. Was about to leave when I saw... AM-16 Jet Vehicon!

Went to Wal-Mart, disappointed again. No Voyager Dreadwings. No Deluxe Wave 5 (or 4, or 3, or 2). Just a whole lot of Deluxe Wave 1 (surprisingly) and a couple Voyager Optimus. There was Optimus Maximus, which caught me eye. Pretty cool, right? Can't afford it, keep scanning. Then something really caught my eye. Behind FoC Wave 1 was a Cyberverse Commander on the peg. I pulled it out, and it was Ironhide. It wasn't what I was hunting for, but I'm glad I (finally) found it and I don't regret it. This thing is awesome.

Picked up some new figures in the last two weeks. Stopped at a Walmart in the middle of Missouri on the way back from a fishing trip and found Rumble and Kup. Both really nice figures. RePro really needs a set for Rumble. Both have nice transformations and look good in both modes.

Today I stopped at a Target I havent been to in a while and behind all the the other voyagers was Dreadwing. Havent really messed with him but looks great in bot mod.

Does anybody need a vehicon? I have been snagging them anytime I see them. Ive managed to get 4 of them and only need 3. Id let it go for cost plus shipping. I would think it would fit in one of those flat rate boxes. Seems like some of you guys are burning some serious gas and time hunting him down.

I would kill for one, because I haven't found one ever in the three or so months since I first spotted wave 3 in my area, but right now I'm pouring all my money into an expensive costume. Fate's a terrible, terrible thing.

It's the tailfin piece. One of the plastic pieces busted off, exposing the metal rod underneath. Still holds fine, I'm just very careful with it.

It's a great toy regardless. Size factored in he's pure muscle and he makes great use of weaponry. Cheer up, you got a great toy.

Right now its just sitting in a box, so if you change your mind it will still be there. Shame not everyone has access to him as he is one of the better Prime figures IMO.
