Actually.....on second thought. I think i will get a super poopy low tech craptastic Airachnid at an ultra low clearance price.

The more i look at her, the campy crapness of her riveted arm joints (those have to be the worst hands i've EVER seen on a TF and i'm loving them for it), super rigid legs and classic decepticon colour scheme is charming me ever so slightly to a point of changing my mind about her. But only if i see her for 5 bucks or something.

Their art styles are still vastly different from each other, yet everyone's A-OK with that. Thus, the argument that WFC/FOC and Prime having different art styles makes them incompatible is invalid.

art styles has nothing to do with it the fact is they tied beastwars with g1 so they are part of the g1 continuity, but there is no tie between with TFP and WFC/FOC they are completly different characters, for instance the bummblebees from both share no similarities besides color and name same with arcee, wheeljack, soundwave breakdown, starsceam although similar each are not the same character as the other universe so there is no connection

Airachnid really is terrible. The completist in me still wants her because I hate gaps in a character lineup. But oy, those legs, those hands...

Dead end is different enough from 'Jack between the new head and the radically different color scheme to warrant purchase. It would just be nice if they had bothered to give him different weapons, say a gun or a couple different style blades rather than the same swords. I wasn't thrilled that 'Jack only came with the swords rather than the cannon he's pictured with on the package.
Still a buy.

Bee? Interesting color scheme, but it's still...Bee. I'll only consider it if it's deep clearance. Already have FE.

Crap. I more interested in Dead End and 'Bee now, and less in Airrachnid. I'll still keep my set-of-3 preorder at BBTS, but now it's more for the other two.

Sabrblade, those were some purty sweet images a few pages back :APPLAUSE:

I've already voiced my thoughts on these figures. Im only picking up airachnid to have her, odds are i won't like her. I suppose i expected too much out of a deluxe class, but then again, her in-show transformation is awesome and unique, and one of the biggest reasons i like her. They really should have made her better and at the voyager pricepoint. I still think she should be about the same sizem but with more thought put into her transformation. I actually really enjoy the helicopter mode, but the robot mode really is lackluster. I think someone said happy meal quality? Yea, pretty darn close to it, unfortunately :/

Dead end will be the best figure out of the 3 hands down arachnid looks horrible I'm only getting her because she is a new mold. What's up with her flat karate chop arms and pretty much a full helicopter hanging on her back. She gonna have horrible balance issues and the 3 purple arms look like crap animated black arachnid is a better figure than this one. And bee is just bee who cares I'm sure we will have 4 more before the toy line ends

Sooo disappointed in Airachnid. If you aren't going to bother with a spider mode (and it shouldn't be that hard from a helicopter) at least make the robot mode worthwhile.

And then at the other end of the spectrum is Dead End. Love his bio too, unlike Wheeljack, he echos his G1 persona, even echoed in the ROTF toy:

Creepy, dark, and depressed, Dead End has few friends, even among the Decepticons. He usually hangs out in the darkest corner of the room, where his eyes can glow to their greatest effect. He never speaks, unless it’s to say something gloomy. The other Decepticons avoid him, which suits him just fine. The only time they’re useful to him is when they are recharging, and he can sneak up on them to drain energy.

<Sigh>

I guess I should thank Hasbro for not making these three enticing, allowing my wallet to breath a little.

Dead End...his colors are a complete turn off...and if he "Now broods quietly in the shadows"...I dunno why...his colors would give him away. He definitely didn't have an easy time growing up playing hide-go-seek with the other little deceptikids unless he was hiding in a fruit tree.

Bumblebee...easy pass.

And I must have had higher expectations for Airachnid. Hands as attractive as hammer-thumbs...perhaps gifted in karate chopping. I would have to see her in person...but for now, nope!

I have to agree Airachnid looks too basic i mean look at the way she holds her weapons  and the transformation looks to be more like commander not that impressed

Deadend another character who i like to see get some love. i think he suits this mold much better than Wheeljack with the paint apps and his head sculpt hes an ugly dude i like the bio but not sure i will pick either of these up.

Oh I do like him, but I don't like the same mold twice on my shelf.
It's why I have Banzai-Tron and not Bludgeon (that, and the fact that it was easier to get the former in the UK), for example.

You know, Dead End is really growing on me.
May have to ditch Wheeljack and buy him instead, if he ever shows up in the UK.

That Dead End is awful looking and I like the G2/late G1 neo but that is one of the most awful colour schemes I've seen in 26 years of collecting.

I still think Knock Out should have been called Dead End. Both are vain red sports cars that hang around with a guy called Breakdown. Dead End would have been a nice name for a Con medic.

Ah well, my dislike for a lot of the stylised modern TF aesthetics is saving me a lot of money. But if you guys like them, good for you.

I could take the arms fine, it's the giant hunk of helicopter top that remains untransformed on her back that gets me :/

Dead End wasn't vain, he was a nihilist, believing life is pointless since death is inevitable. Someone like that would be a terrible medic, since they wouldn't bother trying to heal and would rather put their patients out of their misery by ending their lives right then and there.

I have to say, of all the vehicle modes in the show, I figured that Airachnid was going to be the mostdifficult to pull off well simply because the mass of the vehicle is not all that significant. If I'm not too far off, the alt mode is supposed to be a Comanche, which is a very sleek and slender copter. With volume as small as the alt mode is, I guess I can live with the results. The pictures are not all that flattering either. I'll wait for in hand, but I'm probably going to get it.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

I think my opinions are mostly the same, probably a little more negative. I've said this sooo many times lolz, but i don't get tired of it: I expected it to be awesome and to work in all 3 modes. What we got is acceptable, but i really would have dug it a lot if they had done it with all 3
