While the berserker effect may have been unintentional, the intended purpose of Scorponok's virus was to make Primal weak and cowardly like a little child. It instead did just the opposite. So yeah, we saw how they scrapped the Vehicons aboard Nemesis in "The Darkness Rising Pt 4". But it does take more effort to defeat Knock Out and Breakdown. Screamer and Wavevy are unknown since they've never really been on close-combats (Except for SS, who got kicked by Wheeljack.)
