Delta Magnus wrote:I just don't get the point of the shampoo bottles. They can't transform. They don't have the increased articulation that non-transforming Transformers often have. They don't have the increase in accuracy, sculpture and paintwork that minimally articulated figures often have. And they aren't even that cheap. If they were hugely poseable or gorgeously painted or extremely cartoon accurate or only £2 I might understand. But as is? There is literally no point to getting them over a Warrior class figure or even a one-step. I'm no economist, but there is absolutely no way that continuing to make these...things makes any sense for Hasbro. It decreases the budget they have for other lines and it takes up space on store shelves that could be used by stuff that will actually sell.

Didnt this also happen with the entirety of the Beast Hunters line?

There was a shadow stike bumblee in the prime line. And don't forget the various blizzard strike RID warrior redcos.D-Maximus_Primal wrote:william-james88 wrote:Glarryg wrote:So, everybody's getting a Stealth, Blizzard, and/or Scorch Strike deco... am I too late to coin the phrase "Repaints in Disguise?"

Not that I know of. They just remolded all the molds to make Mad Max autobots with the typical Bee repaint. Nothing like different themed minicon groups

Oh come on, you're older than me but you don't recognize a Captain Planet reference when you see one?

The Point Glarryg was making was that the RID line has turned into a bunch of redecos. And I was saying thats pretty much what the Prime line became in beasthunters. Sure, there was some remolding but it was basically using the same molds and selling them again under a different theme.

The only captain planet i know is the one by Don Cheadle. I guess he wasnt that popular in Canada. Unlike Ms Frizzle and the magic schoolbus.
Yes, but, it was all the same single theme rather than all the characters getting several redecos based on a set number of multiple themes, which is what his post read more to me as referring to.william-james88 wrote:The Point Glarryg was making was that the RID line has turned into a bunch of redecos. They roughly share an altmode silhouette, but are otherwise different in every way.
(I guess the animation model of the "gun ball" mode may homage Dead End. My tinfoil hat theory is that the chaotic Cyclones (and only them, since we know normal Aligned Mini's are born like regular tfs) might tie into the Armada idea of Minicons being born of Unicron.)

Because of the new character in the second episode of the new season who looks like a retool of Steeljaw?!

Not sure how I'd feel about that, a tail-less steeljaw figure? But wouldn't that leave him as an unbalanced mess with ineffectual articulation?![]()
I mean, really, his tail was a big selling point and the third leg on which the figure balanced/counter-balanced; his arms have terrible articulation, along with his legs, nevermind that the car mode would still look like a wolfs head

Nothing new has been said since Toy Fair, at which there was no Polarclaw figure.Stuartmaximus wrote:any sign of a Polar Claw figure coming?
