Transformers Sequels, the Human Aspect...A little Help for Roberto Orci, and Alex Kurtzman
So, here is a new topic, I know, I know, we are all about some robot loving here on seibertron, But with the recent widely held success of Transformers the Movie, let us examine the many Human characters and aspects of the Transformers Verse...
We have actually a plethora of Human bit parts and leading villain roles that can be played by some well known actors..
here are some characters that would be neat for the sequels:
1. Chip Chase, the smartest computer and technology kid on the Earth, and stuck in a Wheel chair (feels like Professor X), who does secret work for the Government, or a commercial computer company.. maybe he's Steve Jobs golden boy..the I in the I-POd... what ever works for story plots...
2. Dr. Arkeville, a mad genius scientist, or foreign spy, with an augmented arm of cybernetics, and maybe a little later, a Cybernetic half head, due to an explosion in the movie or something.. remember I Robot, he could move like one of those guys and could take down a Transformer with super reflexes and pulling some much needed vital plugs or something.. he could be studying them... and helps resurrect Megatron..just a thought...
3.Dr. Alcazar, a scientist and mentor to Chip Chase whose work with Antimatter is enticing to the Decepticons...
4. Dr. Fujiyama, notable Robot Specialist, builds prototype Transformer.. Nightbird, or whatever..
5.King Nergill- he was a green scaled alien from Sub-Atlantica , under the ocean..tried to take control of NY or was it Washington D.C.
6. Dr. Harding, specialist in Satelites...
7.Dr. Paul Gates creator of Torque III, a super computer gone wrong by Decepticon tampering... I would say he could be like Bill gates in his philanthropy... and money...
8.Sean Berger, in G-1 he helped Megatron Frame the Autobots to make the world believe the Decepticons were the good guys.. once Megatron had control of the world and the Autoots gone Berger would gain control of a small city, or as over time he wanted a small country..I think in the movie he would make a useful senator whose trying to do the same basically to gain power... he has the Private police after the autobots always..
9.Raul, a good friend to tracks, in the original G-1 Episodes...he got into debt with the Ghettis Bros. and owes them a stolen car for payment..
10. The Ghettis Bros. an Italian Car Jacking Gang in New york, who are after Raul...who owes them a stolen car..
the Ghettis Bros manage a bunch of thugs, transporting a fleet of stolen cars across the Hudson and towards the New Jersey Pine Barrens. Tracks and Raul follow in secret.
11. Lord Chumley A very rich and Powerful Tycoon who believes the biggest game hunt he's ever had is Optimus Prime, he had also stolen a Top secret Fighter Jet from Russia.. this is an interesting character from G-1 and updated for the movie, i can see him obsessed with Prime and wanting to unlock the technology for his own gains, and actually hires military operatives like Black Water USA as a guard to take him down...
12. Dinsmoore- Lord Chumley's Partner in crime and Butler.. he would make a good technical assistant if they did an updated Chumley int he movie sequels, he could be the every man's butler guard.. like I would picture that bald guy from the movie the Transporter...
13.Astoria Carlton Ritz bratty corporate executive Chairman of Hybrid Technologies, has a private jet, whose secretly powerglide, guards her from the Decepticons who want her secret research, has secret research on Magnetic fields..
14. Carly Blonde, sassy, teen hottie, adventurous, and spunky, smart and all about Spike...errr... sam....
well, that's it for now.. see there are alot of human influences and characters that the writers can draw inspiration from just from the old G-1 cartoons...

And of all the things from G1 to want in the films... you want the humans? Really? Raul? The Ghettis Brothers? Lord Chumley?

Hey I'm just saying there are more characters that could be referenced in the Live action movie, who says they have to be campy and stupid.. they could make a cool guy out fo Lord Chumley.. don't think cartoon... think Swordfish John travolta....that's what I was thinking would be an interesting take on him...
besides, this is supposed to be "Based" on G-1.. so lets give it some more references for the hard core fans in the sequels.. if a character from the show was done right, and serious enough, who says that the general public will not think he's a badass..
If Cartoon Megatron can become an even bigger badass int he movie, then why not a Human character from G-1 as well??
Also we all know the creators of the movie and producers want to make sure there are plenty of humans in the movies, with screen time.. so why not give a little back to the core fans..??

Who was it that said that? Oh yeah ... Don Murphy. Say no more.
It's more a case of "based on the Transformers franchise".
Frankly I like the idea of new human characters, to get away from the lame human characters that have populated the TF series over the years.

I'm actually pulling for a Sean Berger as a Sneator type villain whose out to get the Autobots, and a Doctor Arkeville whose out to use Megatron to gain ultimate power.. with a cybernetic arm..
jeremy Irons was a Badass villain in Die Hard 2, and he's a great actor, he could totally pull off Dr. Arkeville..
here is an image i threw together of Dr. Arkeville, who gets maimed later and blames the autobots, and devotes his mastery of science to bringing them down..
Before when he was a good guy scientist, and after he's a villain..

or cyborg villain:

A good point, though I was more surprised by the suggestion of King Nergill.
skywarp-2, what about the humans from Armada and Energon?
Honestly, I wouldn't mind if they just continued with Sam and Mikaela but also carried on the threads involving that hacker woman (I forget her name) and Anthony Anderson.

No. Wrong answer McFly.
Don't hold your breath for any of that.
I know you think they can be modernized, and while I can see it, I hope you are aware of the unnecessary changes they made to the big name characters:
Spike is now Sam, but looks the same, but wrong additude.
Carly is now trashy slutty hot juvie record Mikaela.
Sparkplug is now Ron, but he has the right personality.
There is now a Mom, but she's an alcky for hell's sake.
There is no way in all existance that those bit part G1 characters are going to make it, modernized or not.
Oh and let's not forget useless as all get out add on characters like Glenn and Maggie. Damn that was stupid.
In other words, pipe dream. It's over. Finito.
But Lord Chumley was cool.

Lord Nergill, was just to show that th Transformers Mythos wasn't just the Autobots and Decepticons, it had much more characters like aliens and other humanoid life forms that were in there as well...
I just want to see sean berger as a senator and Dr. Arkeville..

while i respect your opinion and you may be right, I still feel that since the main opening act or story if you will in Transformers 1, was a great Intro, that the addition of a Human villain and organization under the command of Dr. Arkeville, would add that corrupt human plot line to the story, so now you have Humans working with the Decepticons for power and glory, which is a staple of G-1, albeit a subtle staple, but it was in their stories in the cartoon none the less ... It's not too much to ask that they give a little nod back to the original series..
But i think a Sean Berger as an evil senator and his campaign to ruin the Autobots good name would be a wonderful subplot, similar to that of the Senator kelly from the X-men Movies..
But a good villain and a Human one would show that villains can team up and be very overwhelming for th Autobots and with the Govrnments of the world on their butts, it's even worse..
If any of you guys have a cool spin on a character from the old show who would be really interesting to be updated and added into the sequel, I'd love to hear about it..funny or seriously cool and possible, it doesn't matter, let's see what the imagination can conjure, I mean after all the entire series an toyline was based on imagination of combined peoples..

The way I see it, as long as they stay away from any human characters that remotely come close to the Armada cartoon kids, I'm happy.
And since no one has yet to mention this G1 human character, I will: Circuit Breaker!

Chip Chase could be nice to see, but I'm pretty sure we won't get too many nods to old humans featured in G1.
I have to say, though, if we're gonna get a familiar human face, there's only one I really really want to see:
G.B. Blackrock.
Come on, he could work!

I'll give you Sean Berger. That would be good. Dr. Archeville is a bit of a stretch. But seriously, look what they did. It's not gonna happen.
And I'd rather see G.B. Blackrock than any of those other G1 cartoon humans.

Sean Berger could easily work. The humans probably aren't going to differentiate between Autobots and Decepticons, so it would be very easy for him to market getting rid of them all. He could actually employ Dr. Arkeville, who is designing some kind of anti-transformer weapon using parts taken from the fallen Decepticons. Berger of course, would have friends in high places and be able to acquire those pieces.
Of course the weapon would have to turn on them somehow, being taken over by a Decepticon maybe, much like how frenzy integrated himself into that cellular phone.
And it's down to the Autobots to save Berger and Arkeville from themselves. Arkeville could somehow end up helping Starscream or meeting his end at Starscream's hands.
Pretty good, if I do say so myself.

No, Jeremy Irons was the bad guy in Die Hard 3. The bad guy in Die Hard 2 was Franco Nero... and also the dad from Good Times was another bad guy in that movie.

John Amos is his name.
And I'd like to see a new human villain (if we must go that route) and not use G1 like a crutch all the time. I'm so sick and tired of friggin' G1.
I don't mind a nod here and there (I'm fine with that), but pulling directly out of it? Come on. That's what imagination is for! That's why the writers went to school! Why waste their talents using someone else's work?
I just...I don't get this "I gotta have G1" fanaticism.
Oh and "It's what I grew up with!" is wearing thin...really, really, really bad.
