I got Overload out and...

I love Devastator. He's a big, chonky boi! I'm keeping him bipedal. i don't have the room for the four-legged fan modes I've seen, and I think I prefer him this way.

Here's a comparison shot with Generations Devastator.

And at the Walmart I work at, there was one lone Skipjack. now there are none.

Nice! I finally found Overload this past Saturday, and just earlier today I found Skipjack as well. Time to assemble the beast!

(Said leak being that it is a G1 Jazz and he has a cartoon-accurate lack of door wings, but might be able to be mistransformed to have door wings if one prefers)

I have a question about 86 studio series figures.

Does that mean there's gonna be another G1 looking Prime in Studio Series and G1 looking Magnus in addition to the WFC figures?

Or are we getting guys that aren't in WFC already for the 86 series?

Like are the Earth Rise earth mode seekers getting double duty?

Or is the Studio Series 86 only for figures that don't already have figures or planned figures in WFC trilogy?

Cue Batman forever clip.

Also, yep, gonna be adding that Hot Rod to the HR collection.

Well, nothing has been officially announced, but so far based on the leaks, it looks like SS 86 will be catching the spillover for figures they couldn't fit into WFC, or the various other sub-lines.

Or vice versa, I can't help but think that Arcee would have been a better fit for Studio Series than Earthrise. She doesn't have any of the major WfC play features, with the exception of the partsforming aspect. I wonder if the product lines determine the figures they choose to make or if it can be the other way around.

If you took all the figures across Earthrise, Kingdom, and SS86 and put them in a bucket, then asked someone who didn't already know the product lines to sort them, you'd get a very different arrangement--not just between WfC and SS, but between ER and Kingdom.

In addition to the response clarifying the general situation with this line, I'll also specify, no new Prime (if we did it would likely be a redeco of Earthrise Optimus, but it's already getting repacked in Kingdom) and no new Magnus in SS (he's getting an Earth mode figure in Kingdom that's aparently a retool of the Siege figure with a more Earth-like cab, and some minor changes to the trailer/armor).

Also, Earthrise Starscream is already being repacked in Kingdom as well.
G2/Action Master/obscure variant-inspired redecos and retools are my lifeblood

Thanks.

Though now that I think about it, the "Alternate Universe" Earthrise Prime is basically 86 death Prime.

The box even has HotRod, Magnus and Arcee in the windshield reflection. Which makes no sense in the context of WFC. But fits perfectly with the movie.

I think the plan is to make an 86 movie line spread across 4 different lines.

Sneaky Hasbro.

There will be a G1 Prime and G1 Magnus available next year, yes. But they will come out in the WFC Kingdom line rather than SS (and that Prime is a rerelease). But it's all the same. The earthrise Starscream will be released as well next year.

Thanks,

So the Magnus is not going to be a re-release? Its a new mold? On top of the Netflix repaint?

Rumors are it's just a retool with a more Earth-like cab. My assumption is the robot mode will be largely the same.

Woot! I found the latest Deluxe Class wave of Studio Series figures today at Walmart: Soundwave (RotF), Topspin, and Cliffjumper. I had checked this same Walmart on Monday and found nothing. This time, I had something else to do at that Walmart and just checked in case, fulling expecting to find nothing different than my check on Monday, but I was wrong! Now I only need to find Blitzwing and I'll be caught up on the Studio Series. I already found a second Skipjack the other day. I want to pick up another Overload too. I'm getting two of each Constructicon so I can build Devastator and still have each individual member displayed in robot mode along with the other movie figures.

I hope we get some official news/reveals on the Studio Series '86 figures at PulseCon next week. The first looks we've had at Hot Rod and Kup are promising.

New leaks/info regarding SS Hot Rod and Scourge:
-Scourge is the same head height as the ER Seeker mold, Hot Rod is a head shorter than Scourge
-Scourge comes with a blast effect for his gun, and Hot Rod has both a regular blast effect and a special one that clips onto his Matrix for darkest-hour-lighting-action (Deluxe Kup doesn't have a blast effect thought, so the leaker doesn't know exactly how many figures come with blast effects)
-Scourge's alt mode is an almost exact match to the cartoon compared to the close-but-not-quite TR figure
-Full list of accessories for Hot Rod is a built-in optional visor, saw hand, at least 1 gun (the leaker says his copy has 2 that are identical and is double-checking if that's right), flip-out welder hand, Matrix, & previously mentioned blast effects

A customized, mis-transformed, war within titanium Megatron. Haven’t seen one of those in ages...

One of the better titanium molds. And yes the better Megatron mold in the Titanium line. And i know, I still own them both.

Wonder if all its parts are still there.

Nemesis Primal wrote:New leaks/info regarding SS Hot Rod and Scourge:
That Scourge sounds like it's worth getting, especially since he's a voyager. Pass on Kup and Hot Rod, no matter how many useless extras he comes with.
