Will, I don't think the leg ports clutter up the look of the dino tail at all. So nyeh :-P

The ports on his arms/dino legs, now those are obtrusive, but I don't find them unbearably so.

I don't think that gray thing in the middle of Rampage's dozer blade is for combination, I think it's just a stop block to keep the blade from moving too much. You can see the other side of it on the one in robot mode. I do however think the treads on the arms indeed form whips, I can see a number of joints that serve no other purpose.

Bucky, I agree with you about not wanting these 'Structies to form a Devastator combiner. That's even worse than Optimus-Jetfire (which I maintain is foolish because it's like trying to have an ROTF Megatron that's a combiner of Movie 1 Megs and Scrapmetal) despite the Constructicons actually combining, simply due to the sheer complexity of it. I think going the route of ROTF Supreme Devy but actually using all the vehicles that went into him in the movie would be a much better approach. I wouldn't want a permanently combined one, though, that'd be a bugger to store.

Dino/Mirage is getting a toy in this line? For real? Ferrari have stopped being smegheads? Nice!

Here's a silly idea for this line: Supreme (or possibly Titan if need be) Wheelie! Why? Because then he could be a 1:1 replica!

Let's not get too excited just yet, it could always be another Studio Series Shadow Raider, Ksi Sentry, Crankcase situation, that being a remold of an existing car figure with a Dino head and blades. (kinda like the AOE Sideways retool)

Dunno if this is the place to post this, but I'm looking for input on SS VW Bumblebee? I love the design and it's far more affordable for me than the MP, but I just saw on tfwiki https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Bumblebee_(Movie)/toys#SS18that the toy has some QC issues. Can anyone attest to their experiences with the issues listed on the wiki page, or even issues that aren't listed there?

On an somewhat related note, I've felt a compulsion to buy figures of 2011 Captain America and 2017 Wonder Woman since WWII Bee was revealed, just to have a blockbuster Nazi-Puncher team-up.

Not going to lie, kinda disappointing that they did make them combine. That's not big enough for a scale devy. On the plus it looks like they've upscaled the legends class devy which I enjoy. But feel they should have kept to their guns about scale...

We've had no proof that they combine yet. Seeing Devastator is not, in itself, proof of combination. Devy could in fact be an independent toy. It's kinda hard to tell from such a distant grainy look.
Honestly, the smaller-than-scale size of that Devy makes it seem less likely to me that they combine. I mean, if all the component robots were in-scale (and so far they have been), that would almost force Devy to be as well.
Granted, we haven't seen some key ones like Scavenger or Mixmaster (Who is where the combination would really complicate things) yet.

It was announced on stage that Studio Series Devastator would be formed by 8 Constructicons.

Here is a pic showing him off.

If were going off the pic it seems that the combination is going to be:

Mixmaster as the head and probably a deluxe by the looks of things

Scavenger and Overload as the torso as well as shoulders and thighs with Scavenger probably being a Leader and Overload being either that or a voyager.

Scrapper as the right arm and looks like a voyager.

Hightower and Scrapmetal combine into the left arm and both are deluxes.

Longhaul and Rampage as the legs.

Kind of disappointing that they are using red Rampage for the leg, because I'm pretty sure his leg is yellow in the film. Maybe they will re-release Rampage in yellow later down the line?

He looks really good so far, I love that he has the missile launchers and gun turrets on him from the ROTF game.

I was hoping we could see bits of the other constructicons on that gray model but it looks like the model's head and body at least are all one piece.

I'm sure we'll get a yellow Rampage eventually, but getting the red one first does make me hope we'll get an ROTF Bumblebee to battle him!

If that Devy is not made out of poorly painted "tupperware" plastics like the CW version, I'll be all for it. Even if I'd have to buy the components separately.

Well, omitting one Constructicon is leagues better than omitting THREE like the ROTF Supreme Devastator did, but it's not perfect.

Now, has it actually been confirmed that all eight of the Constructicons that comprise him will be the same independent Constructicon figures that are to be sold at retail? Because I'm just not sure how the heck they'd pull that off with Mixmaster. It'd be cool, don't get me wrong, but it would be very complex.

I think we all know what he definitely won't be coming with though :3

And hey, there we go: Tread-whips confirmed.

I think the Devastator we see in the stage pic and the grey model are not the actual toy but just a non transforming prototype.

Otherwise why only reveal 3 Constructicons and not the whole bunch?

Long Haul is everything I ever wanted and I will be buying at least 2 - one for Devastator and one for my desk because he is hands down my favorite movie design and I was really hoping they'd make him. Possibly a third one so I can have Devastator and all his robot components on display, assuming I can find/afford all that. I just need that Long Haul, he just became my most wanted figure next year next to MP Beast Wars Megatron. I gotta get my old RotF one out of storage

I've had a ridiculously busy weekend, and week and another week of business already starting so ain't gonna say much or do detailed first impressions on every figure other than I love all these. I love that Hasbro/Takara have continued making these. That they're still putting a ton of effort and monies into developing toys for the bayverse bot fans like me. I'm truly grateful and amazed at all the new reveals recently. Dunno where I'm gonna get all the money for them but I want the lot of them. As I said before, Studio Series has quickly become my fave toyline pretty much ever and that was even before this weekend of great new figures shown off. Am happy.

Ok now i really need to try get some rest. Hope you all had a great weekend, folks.

Oh man, that Devastator! It looks so much better than the old ROTF version, but I can't decide if I really want to take the plunge and get all of the Constructicons to combine him. I suppose I'll wait and see how Siege Omega Supreme looks, then it'll be a toss-up between him and Devastator for which gigantic Transformer I add to my collection in 2019.
For the other figures revealed this weekend, I'm definitely getting Optimus, Jetfire and Shatter (hopefully a car mode Dropkick will happen one day), undecided on Bonecrusher and the Constructicons, and Megatron and Cogman are both easy passes because I'm happy with SS Voyager Megatron and the original TLK Cogman.

Actually no, it wouldn't force Devastator to be in scale because he was made up of more Construction vehicles than what comprise the Constructicons we know in the film. :SG-CONS:

I am aware of that. Nine in total, of which the Supreme class omitted 3 and the Legends-class combiner omitted two. However, with Scrapmetal getting a toy they seemed to be going for the overlooked members this time around. So if all - as in really all, all 9 of them, nobody left out this time - the component robots were in scale, then...
And it's been confirmed that this Devy is eight-piece, so there's only one component vehicle missing this time.
