Got my final 2 Studio Series figures for the year, and with them I have finished the wave.

Starting with Crosshairs, he is a definite improvement over his old toy. He is much more involved, and his alt mode parts end up being more included as well. I love that half his hood ends up as the front parts of his trenchcoat. I also like how much more functional the arms are, and how his posability improved with the redesign. His transformation is very different from his first toy, which is always a good thing to experience. I like him, he is an improvement, and he's a good toy.

As for Hot Rod, he is also a good toy. Finally, a movie accurate toy! His transformation is very involved, but makes for a clean robot. They put a lot of effort into him, and he is real good.

Overall, the wave was strong. The Fallen is a definite winner, and I adore Laserbeak. Both deluxes ended up being good too. It was a good wave.

IMO, this might be one of the best SS waves. Every figure in it was a hit (even if you count the SS86 Ironhide). Each figure either improved on old toys or gave us our first good version of them.

Hopefully the coming waves are like this! I am really excited to see more RotB stuff.

Wanted to share some round shots of Hot Rod. I am impressed by how clean they made his robot mode while still making it accurate. He is real good.







The Fallen also got some more shots taken with the new TMII Megatron. These are 2 good looking leaders.

he has one of the most complex transformations I have ever seen in a deluxe. It's like they gave us a budget Peru kill at the deluxe size, kind of insane.

Also, I will go back on my words for SS AOE/TLK Crosshairs. While yes, the rench coat does not operate like a trench coat, I was impressed that the front part is actually made up of real car parts. I somehow had assumed it was fake bits. So that was great. And in the end, the whole point is this guy uses car parts to make a trench coat, and he is the best looking version so far, so I'll say well done.

I'm sad ROTF game Breakaway isn't there as I've seen strong rumours at TFW2005 that he's coming out next year.

I know we've talked about him a good bit as well, but I guess we'll have to wait on live action game bots too

Finished up my paint work on Crosshairs! I wasn't too sure about this figure at first, but the optionally removable kibble is nice and the sculpted detail is excellent! Very glad to have him!

I had no interests for the SS figure mainly for the same reason as the previous two: BLAND PAINTJOB.

But you fixed that beautifully.

Thank you! I got lucky that there's a lot of good reference pics (and the Prime 1 Studios statue) since the striping is pretty intricate!

I knew in the right hands, someone who knew how to pose the trench coat parts, Crosshairs could look really good.

Interesting to note is that there is some sculpt reuse from SS-01 with the neck area, and the stripes on the roof are not present on the actual Camaro used for filming

A shame about the arms sticking out from under the car, but it's less in-your-face than the jeep mold.

So far so good anyhow.

Posted this in the ROTB toys thread as well, but Screenrant officially revealed SS-99 Battletrap and SS-100 ROTB Bumblebee!

Bee being SS-100 is cool since SS-01 is the 2007 version of Bee's 1976 Camaro look!
