I don't have any of the little Primes so I am not sure which would be best.

Scavenger is a great figure, definitely one of the best Leader class figures we have gotten in a while!

Mixmaster and Scrapper are next, but which to get first? Mixmaster is slated for a re-release, right?

Yeah, he's packed with scrapper and sentinel ;)^

Was just about to say this, I saw another Mix on the shelf earlier this week with those 2!

Welp, getting them both at once then.

How many of them do you have so far?

5 out of 8. Only bad thing is that Long Haul has some flash or chips on his right knee cap and stress marks on left side peg holes of the truck bed (really having problems transforming that part). No biggie, really.

To you folks having problems, Scavenger is easily posed... once you find that (tight) swivel under the shoulder ratchet. That makes the arms face forward making it easier to get that tripod stance. :-D Shoulder ratchet, swivel below, double hinged elbow, and hinged wrist.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

You had said something similar for Shockwave, do you think this one's better?

I do think Scavenger is better. Shockwave is a great toy that looks like he walked right off the screen, but Scavenger feels beefier, more dense, has a really cool transformation and great alt mode, and even combines. He feels like he belongs at the $50 price point

Got myself scrapper and sentinel, I'll expand on my thoughts later, but I like how they handled sentinels paneling, and scrapper is pure joy to transform :x

I really hope we get movie accurate versions of Stormreign and Dragonicus, even if they're just redecoes of the Premier Edition figures. It's a shame that a full, movie accurate Dragonstorm will never happen, though.

your comment, N, made me start thinking about next year. We seem to have settled into a 3 waves per year for SS, so filling that roster, here's what I'd like to see next year in those classes:

Deluxe:

Que, Dino, RotF Bee with shoulder cannons, Hatchet, Jolt, Sidesipe (RotF version), Infernocon, Mohawk, Dreadbot, AOE Bumblebee

Voyager:

Slug, Strafe, Galvatron, Infernocon, Onslaught, TLK Prime, AOE Hound

Leader:

Infernocus (if deluxe/voyager doesn't happen), the Fallen, Grindor

As bad as AOE and TLK were (imo), they had some of the best designs of the series, particularly the Knights. The lack of Studio Series figures of the Knights sans Grimlock is downright criminal.

I think SS covered Grimlock and TLK gave Scorn a fantastic toy. I think we really need a Slug and Strafe, we need larger versions of those 2 to complete the movie 4.

also, I think given 1 more year the SS could indeed finish pretty much the entire named cast of the movies that aren't protoforms

I just transformed Scavenger for the first time to vehicle mode, and... it was scary. Panels on the sides were in really tight, and I'm not too happy about the choice of setting the tight arms on small panels. One wrong move and *snap*.

Well, Target delayed my Sentinel and Scrapper by a week, hopefully they'll stick to the new delivery date. I'm really excited for Sentinel in particular, but considering that I'm currently out of red paint I guess it would've been a little while before I started work on him anyway.

Y'know, I'm still disappointed the new ROTF Soundwave doesn't come with Ravage. The stand he comes with for satellite mode is admittedly pretty cool, but I really would've liked a Ravage in SS-scale. I'm trying to think of any other ways Ravage could show up in SS - maybe a Rampage among the ruins multipack 2.0? ROTF Bumblebee, Rampage with dirt/yellow paint apps, and Ravage? That's not really something we've seen in Studio Series before, but I think it'd be neat.

Don't know if anyone noticed this on his Scavenger, but here's a small warning with his shovel arms: do not ratchet them too far down! On one side of each shoulder a stopper(?) sticks out, but it doesn't really do that good of a job, mine's already marred.

How you liking him? mine was pretty unwilling to go to vehicle mode as far as panel cooperativeness is concerned, but I think it was a problem with how his thigh swivels were positioned.

Having been reenacting movie scenes lately, of which I have a few more planned to share with you all soon, I have realized Dark of the Moon is my favorite of the 6 movies. As time has gone on, it has gotten better to me, I enjoy it more and more.

and I cannot ever stop watching the Optimus Prime rage scene nor the final Sentinel battle

DOTM and ROTF are tied for me. As problematic as ROTF is for various reasons, because I saw it as a kid without the wider awareness for some problems, it was a lot of fun. Though DOTM is a lot better because of the action and story actually making more sense than ROTF.

As a side note, I really hope we get the Twins soon. Was messing with the ice cream truck version earlier and I think SS could definitely improve on them even though they still hold up

It's a pretty snug fit, like Megatron's shotgun is a 5.2mm handle instead of a vanilla 5mm. I only put it in a little way cause of how tight it felt.
