Plus he is now our only movie 2 Autobot not to end up in studio series. Him, Leadfoot, Dino, and Que are the 4 bots that still need actual physical toys revealed. We need to complete the cast dangit!
Deadput wrote:I still don't think Grindor is high on the list for priorities for Studio Series, if anything I'd imagine him being one of the very last figures released, that or Hasbro just rereleases Blackout with Grindor labeled on the box.
He's the same color as Blackout and his robot mode kibble is the same, the only thing different between the two on screen are their sizes and the slightly different model of vehicle.
Of course Studio Series has taken liberties with things like Crankcase and KSI Sentry in regard to on-screen accuracy but Grindor in the films wasn't the same "white-ish grey" as his ROTF toys he was almost pretty much Blackout with a new name, I'm pretty sure some people to this day think he's Blackout just because ROTF did nothing to establish them as different characters.

What abou the Twins? I don't remember seeing any rumors about them, but then again, I don't really pay attention to rumors for Studio Series
LinaNui wrote:Grindor was a lighter grey and was about 10 feet taller than blackout. If/when they make him, I hope he is just a slightly upscaled blackout (about 2 inches more) minus scorponok.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
ZeroWolf wrote:Them again, the height thing could be the whole issue as to why they haven't done him. They could be arguing amongst themselves as whether to give him a new mold (ala mp 50 being a new mold instead of a cheetor redeco)

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

The difference here is that Tigatron looks quite different from Cheetor in the tv show, not just color wise but also in regards to proportions, shape, size, etc. Honestly, I think MP Tigatron just being a remolded Cheetor would have been a total dick move.
However, in the movies, Grindor looks exactly like Blackout, some supplementary material even calls him Blackout. He even has the same kibble, despite being a different helicopter. So there's no way they'd waste resources making an entirely new mold. At most, he'd be an upscaled Blackout with an extra rotor blade and a remolded cockpit, and lighter colors.
ZeroWolf wrote:They could have redecoed the cheetor mold and just said he was toy accurateafter all the toy was just a redeco of cheetor.
Remember though up scaling increases plastic used and with the plastic being used else where they might not be enough in the leader Class limit. A new mold would allow them to compensate for that by taking the plastic out of somewhere else in the initial design.
First-Aid wrote:Was fiddling around with Jetfire today. When I first got him, he wasn't necessarily one of my favorites so I displayed him and Optimus in combined mode for the most part. However, after a more careful evaluation, this guy has quickly turned into a top 5 toy for me. I guess I forgot about all the little details (jet-knees!) and detailing on the figure.

SCrapper surprised me. Maybe one of the most unique leg transformations I've seen: it feels like they are bent but he is still tremendously tall for a Voyager.

One to keep in Devastator and one to keep in robot mode. At least that is why I am getting two of Overload.

Actually, due to my distrust of Target pre-orders, I pre-ordered one on Amazon too, for $30 when they had going, and the Target one was mispriced as well and with a discount he was only $20. So 2 for the price of 1, so I plan to keep both. He and Rampage will be the 2 by themselves, and the others will combine

Best part is you don't even need two rampages, hasbro is giving us skipjack already

Yep, and I'm glad! I love the Rampage mold, and I am OK with getting Skipjack so he can combine and Rampage can rampage around outside of Devy, or fill in if I want!
No matter what, Rampage will combine once, because he had been waiting to do it for a long time now

Yeah, he was a stand-out on a team of incredible figures, the hardest part to believe is that it's essentially a blown-up version of the legends class rampage, but it just works
