What abou the Twins? I don't remember seeing any rumors about them, but then again, I don't really pay attention to rumors for Studio Series

He's the same color as Blackout and his robot mode kibble is the same, the only thing different between the two on screen are their sizes and the slightly different model of vehicle.

Of course Studio Series has taken liberties with things like Crankcase and KSI Sentry in regard to on-screen accuracy but Grindor in the films wasn't the same "white-ish grey" as his ROTF toys he was almost pretty much Blackout with a new name, I'm pretty sure some people to this day think he's Blackout just because ROTF did nothing to establish them as different characters.

Grindor was a lighter grey and was about 10 feet taller than blackout. If/when they make him, I hope he is just a slightly upscaled blackout (about 2 inches more) minus scorponok.

I really doubt Hasbro would upscale a Leader class figure unless we start getting Commander sized figures in Studio Series.

At most if he is ever released I would expect a repaint.

Regarding Commander class, I still wish Studio Series would just get 1. Make it either Infernocus or Driller.

We have a new size class, it is OK to do a one-off for SS. it's only 1 per year anyway

The difference here is that Tigatron looks quite different from Cheetor in the tv show, not just color wise but also in regards to proportions, shape, size, etc. Honestly, I think MP Tigatron just being a remolded Cheetor would have been a total dick move.

However, in the movies, Grindor looks exactly like Blackout, some supplementary material even calls him Blackout. He even has the same kibble, despite being a different helicopter. So there's no way they'd waste resources making an entirely new mold. At most, he'd be an upscaled Blackout with an extra rotor blade and a remolded cockpit, and lighter colors.

He's my current favorite as well. I totally recommend the DNA Designs upgrade kit for him, to fix that crossbow of a bumper he has. It's not hard to install, though it requires knocking out a pin (they provide a push tool).

Was fiddling around with Jetfire today. When I first got him, he wasn't necessarily one of my favorites so I displayed him and Optimus in combined mode for the most part. However, after a more careful evaluation, this guy has quickly turned into a top 5 toy for me. I guess I forgot about all the little details (jet-knees!) and detailing on the figure.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

They could have redecoed the cheetor mold and just said he was toy accurate  after all the toy was just a redeco of cheetor.

Remember though up scaling increases plastic used and with the plastic being used else where they might not be enough in the leader Class limit. A new mold would allow them to compensate for that by taking the plastic out of somewhere else in the initial design.

Haha, it would have been toy accurate, but in Beast Wars the cartoon is king! So still dickish. However, I think you might have just discovered a possible MP-50+.

That's true about the upscaling, you'd just have to be okay with Grindor being a hollow boy and having a simple transformation, like the Megatrons. I also wonder how much the difference in packaging size would affect the decision, as that would probably impact shipping, distribution and shelf space. All of this assuming a Leader price point, of course. Honestly I doubt they'll put that much effort into a character who is basically just a reused model in the main fiction, they'll probably just redeco and maybe remold a bit, but speculating is fun.

Maybe I'm just bitter because I wasn't impressed with SS ROTF Soundwave's satellite mode.

The detailing, sculpting, and paint work have been some real highlights of the line for me. Grimlock shows that off really well, and so does Jetfire, he is a great robot!

Stinger also remains a great figure to me, I'm super glad I got him eventually.

Jolt is high on my list if only because I've got the Deluxe-class toy I own of him sitting repurposed as Alchemist Prime on my Thirteen shelf.

Beyond him, I really want a Leadfoot, and the twins. Grindor is way down on the list for me. If they do make him, I wouldn't be getting him. I mean I'm skipping the Constructicon recolors, too. And to me he's mostly a Blackout recolor. There's not enough difference to me to get him.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

Now, where is that Leadfoot to pass the time until the final wave arrives and I get 2 Overloads

SCrapper surprised me. Maybe one of the most unique leg transformations I've seen: it feels like they are bent but he is still tremendously tall for a Voyager.

Actually, due to my distrust of Target pre-orders, I pre-ordered one on Amazon too, for $30 when they had going, and the Target one was mispriced as well and with a discount he was only $20. So 2 for the price of 1, so I plan to keep both. He and Rampage will be the 2 by themselves, and the others will combine

Yep, and I'm glad! I love the Rampage mold, and I am OK with getting Skipjack so he can combine and Rampage can rampage around outside of Devy, or fill in if I want!

No matter what, Rampage will combine once, because he had been waiting to do it for a long time now

Yeah, he was a stand-out on a team of incredible figures, the hardest part to believe is that it's essentially a blown-up version of the legends class rampage, but it just works :HEADHURTS:

So 2 for the price of 1, so I plan to keep both. He and Rampage will be the 2 by themselves, and the others will combine

Best part is you don't even need two rampages, hasbro is giving us skipjack already ;)^

It does! there is a reason he is top 3 Decepticons from SS for me, that is such a great mold, despite the lack of elbows even! It's just super fun and really well sculpted. And big too, he feels great in hand
I'm looking for parts, Help Me Out Please!

Motto: "Stop, please."
I know the figure was released years ago, but does anyone know if the faceplateless SS-05 variant mentioned here: https://news.tfw2005.com/2018/05/07/tra ... ges-363449 is actually a thing or just a stolen sample/sneaky custom? Because that thread is literally the only relevant thing that comes up when I google about it.
