Frankly, one of the main reasons the original SS86 thread that was split off from the main SS thread was merged back into the SS thread in the first place was because people just kept on talking about SS86 in the main SS thread.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I didn't think these threads would be split and locked the original. I just thought the SS86 should be split off, not 2 whole new threads. Seems a waste of the old thread that could've just had a first post title change.

william-james88 wrote:Hi, the latest studio series voyager wave had both and 86 bot and a live action bot. With two seperate threads, where would I news the finding? I would like to unlock the main thread to use for news purposes concerning the line. If people want to discuss in seperate threads, that's fine but I can't news in 2 places.

o.supreme wrote:While I do not collect SS, I do enjoy seeing them in store, as sort of a mental checklist. I've seen pretty much every standard release. Most recently RoTF BB (74) part of the Buzzworthy line, and just recently saw the new wave with 70 & 71.
I haven't seen 72 (BB Starscream) yet.
Also, I find it odd that we are pretty much caught up with what's been officially announced. No #73 yet. As much as I enjoy the Generations mainline, I know fans of SS have been patient, and hopefully the TF day in May on Pulse will have some new reveals for y'all.william-james88 wrote:Hi, the latest studio series voyager wave had both and 86 bot
That is odd. So who was Starscream packaged with? I'm guessing it was Hot Rod? (cuz good guys sell moar). Personally I see Scourge sell far better than Hot Rod, (unless Scourge was shortpacked, which may be why I've only seen him twice) and solid cases of BB Starscream probably would have sold just fine.

Not to be "that guy", but I guess you could say, all Theatrical films released to a general worldwide audience.
And then reran on Discovery Family as three separate episodes added to the existing episode run, bringing the total up from 65 to 68, and with each given their own individual openings, end credits, and "Previously on Transformers: Prime" beginning recaps.o.supreme wrote:and the TF Prime Predacons Rising film, which was released on Television, then on Physical Media.

Look like the separate SS86 thread is staying separate, while the newly-created live action SS thread has been merged into the main SS thread.EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:So what's the thread situation now?

For just that "Season 5" broadcast. The episode format of Predacons Rising became its default format. You don't see the "Season 5" episodes of G1 airing with the rest of the show in any of its normal reruns.o.supreme wrote:Sabrblade wrote:And then reran on Discovery Family as three separate episodes added to the existing episode run, bringing the total up from 65 to 68, and with each given their own individual openings, end credits, and "Previously on Transformers: Prime" beginning recaps.o.supreme wrote:and the TF Prime Predacons Rising film, which was released on Television, then on Physical Media.
Well yeah, they did the same with TF:TM cutting it into 5 episodes "days", and having to add the Stan Bush "The Touch" music video to pad out the runtime for Puppet Prime episodes in 1988.

But why? If this is the general Studio Series thread then both are discussed here, but then 86 still has a separate thread.
I think the idea mentioned earlier with a common news thread and separate discussion threads would be great. I don't know if the live-action thread can be un-merged, though.

The likely problem with that approach is the whole front page setup of Seibertron with the news articles intended to feed directly into the forums and encourage discussion. If there is a common news thread there are really only 2 options, 1) keep it locked and then put a link to the proper discussion threads in the article, which would represent a change for some users who mainly/only access the forums from the news articles; or 2) leave the news forum and the separate discussion forms open, but that would just lead to everyone just commenting in the news thread.
Edit: also keep in mind, some news will affect both the live movies and SS86 such as when split cases are found at retail like the current voyager wave and the next leader wave.

Unraveling?
(sorry for the bad-dad pun)
LinaNui wrote:Also, Thank you for splitting SS86 off to its own thread. It has been long over due. I can't even count how many times I have come on to check the thread hoping to see some movie discussions only to see it spammed with talk of how hot rod is not a voyager, kup is ugly, G1 dinobot talk, or just other stuff.
LinaNui wrote:The DotM Sideswipe is definitely a sleeper hit of SS and deservers way more talking about. He is such a fun figure with a very involved transformation and he has all of his accessories! And then with your incredible paint work on top, it puts him at or better than masterpiece level! Fantastic work!
On side note, I finally got my DNA Design DK-20 Devastator kit from BBTS, so my Devastator will finally be complete. Sadly I don't have access to it until Friday, but I truly can not wait to finally have my prized collection piece finished off.
