Are you sure we saw the wave breakown for the DotM Sideswipe? Entertainment Earth is my go-to for wave breakdowns and they don't have it up. They have the wave before and the first wave of next year, but not the one with Sideswipe. Man SS86 has really made a mess of trying to keep track of everything.

Thanks! I think you are right on SS79 AoE Bee only being the exclusive for Target then and not getting a separate release. SS77 dead jeep bee then has to be a Universal exclusive that was punted to online retailers. Weird that they would stick Sideswipe in between them numbers wise with them becoming available in reverse order at that.

Seeing that list for next year, I would be excited if several things on that list came out, but I am very cynical at this point regarding releases of SS figures. the thing I am most worried about is a Galvatron and Crosshairs just being AOE/TLK repaints sold in the line like AOE HO Bee. That release kinda crippled my hopes of proper new versions of some of the lesser-done Knight-aesthetic movies

It's been a little while, but here's my newest completed custom: SS Thundercracker!
Thundercracker is a really nice figure, even if he's not from the movie, I think it's really cool that they tried to integrate him into the movie, both with the short bio and his awesome Starscream-inspired head sculpt. I wonder what a Skywarp in this style would look like?

It would be a shame if the new Hot Rod just turned out to be a Lockdown retool, because even though Hot Rod's animation model in he movie had a lot of Lockdown in it and his last Deluxe figure was a Lockdown retool, I think he deserves an original mould.

He definitely deserves his own mold. That first one was fun, but not movie accurate. It suffered from being a Lockdown retool. I really hope he and Galvatron get proper good updates.

I hope they do Galvatron like they did DoTM Megatron. The robot mode might pass for voyager, but I want the mass and alt mode size to be leader class. I'll buy him at leader price if he's built well even if he's the same size as Prime in robot mode.

Hot Rod's design is unique and cool enough to deserve his own original mold.

They have some similar proportions, but I don’t see any shared parts usage between the two.
Reusing the SS Lockdown mold for Hot Rod wouldn’t allow for the car parts on the chest (unless they were faux parts, which I don’t think is the way to go for those) or the door wings.

I was really happy to get the Buzzworthy Clunker Bee vs Barricade set, since I missed out on the original release of Clunker Bee. I've always been a fan of SS-01, but after a while the roof piece barely held on, making the figure more difficult to enjoy. This release fixes that with a pin, and the joints feel tighter overall, particularly on the door wings (which are super loose on my SS-01). The weathering is also a great inclusion, it's very nicely done.
While it's not as good as SS49/74, it is still a good mold, and one that I had a blast getting painted and weathered up!

Interested in seeing what the Bumblebee Ratchet will look like and transform into. Very likely an automatic buy because I love Ratchet, but the faces from Bumblebee haven't been translating well. Wheeljack's also interesting to me, but to a much lesser extent

Yeah, Hot Rod started out as a body for a resurrected Lockdown, but ultimately all they share is an alt mode make. the robot modes are entirely different.
I took Jolt to work again, I am so glad to have him. I need to dig out my Dino for a nice shot of 2 bots with new toys/first hasbro retail deluxe toys that I never expected to get toys made of.

I saw Jolt in store and passed. He looks really good in those pics, maybe I should have gotten him. Since he was such a minor character with miniscule screen time (as were Dino and Payload) I didn't think my collection would miss him.
To those of you who have both Blackout and Grindor, do you prefer 1 over the other, or do both satisfy your collection for different reasons? Besides the hands and paint detail, are there other differences not very noticeable in reviews?

I have both and really like the mold. I like Grindor slightly more just due to the hands, but honestly it was a really good mold to begin with, so it isn't like the hands are necessary to fully enjoy it or anything. If you are only in it for 1 or the other, go Grindor unless you have a particular attachment to Balckout's character or deco (or lil Scorponok vs lil Ravage).

Agreed. The hands add a lot of expressiveness to Grindor, and both of them are about on par with the paint details. I don't really favor one over the other as a toy, they are both fun

I have both and love them. I also have the DNA kit for Blackout which makes him 100% perfect. The only difference between the two is there paints and hands, nothing else. Grindor is also a lot looser than blackout, in my 2 copies at at least. I highly recommend both still. If you have blackout all the down at the knees and Grindor all the way up, it puts them at roughly the correct heights (33' and 40' respectively).

Yeah, I'm definitely kicking myself for not picking up Blackout in store when I had the chance. For me, in a franchise filled with sentimentality, having a detailed figure of a character that was the 1st to appear on a live action movie screen has some meaning. Just too bad he died by getting shot in the junk by a human.
And of course, Grindor was part of IMO the best fight sequence in Bayverse, so I should have a figure to recreate that. Too bad he doesn't come with a head that can split in half.

I have both Blackout and Grindor, and while they're both great, it's the hands that really make Grindor the better of the two for me. Grindor does also have tabbing issues for alt mode that Blackout didn't, but the hands make a world of difference.

- Weapon: Vibro-Axe
So I just saw some ROTB set pictures with Scourge and the orange tow truck. These are really getting me hyped for hopefully a SS type line with figures of them. Since the rumors for 2022 of SS don't seem to have any ROTB figures, I am hoping they get there own line.
